Maple High School Academy Year 3
The Fire of Eternity - Future

Future

CLARYN CLIMBED the giant FIREFLIES, then advanced towards Aleesia with the help of shield wings. The noble-blooded teenager also fled while still shooting arrows. Despite not being able to get close, at least the team was able to hold him back from flying to Gohol, where Cyrus was heading.

However, reality does not always match expectations. Aleesia pulled the bow firmly, focused the energy on an arrow of light, and was only released after ten seconds. The arrow flashed, exceeding the usual arrow of light. Claryn held back with her shield wings, because very quickly, they did not realize that the arrow tip was actually blunt. The arrow of light did not take the wings of the shield, but it was able to bounce off the three juveniles along with its fireflies. Claryn hit a bone tree trunk, two of her friends were bounced off the ground, while fireflies split and scattered everywhere.

“Goodbye!” Aleesia Exclamation.

Blue flames spread across the surface, forming a four-legged creature with a well-built body. Cyrus rode on the horse, then headed for Gohol. Each grass will burn, leaving a trail of fire. Even so, this method is safer than flying up a bird. Because in addition to being afraid of the guards, he also did not know Aleesia was successfully detained or not.

“Ignis, help me!”

The fire creature came out from inside Cyrus' body. From a distance, there was no sign of any guards. Therefore, he had Ignis fly first past Gohol to lure them out. The creature turned into a giant form with a height of three and a half meters. The appearance is still the same, only the wing membranes appear on both hands are enlarged so that it looks like a bat.

Moments later, Ignis moved away from the forest area, followed by four Wizards who were riding a kind of floating magic circle. Not wanting to waste too much time, the man drove as fast as he could to Gohol. Arriving in front of the forest, the fire horse was removed to remove the trail, but due to miscalculation, he bounced.

Cyrus landed right on the edge of the ravine on her back. His body was safe, but his head was no longer attached to the ground. If the fire horse had been removed for a second longer, it might have now fallen inside. The man woke up, securing the head from above the eternal fireplace. He continued his path towards the middle of the forest, as the strength of the elements on the edge was still relatively weak.

After walking for about ten minutes, he finally found a suitable place for the destruction of the mirror. In addition to having strong elements, the land is also quite wide and far from the trees so that there will be no fire.

Cyrus rests a piece of Mirror of Time on a strange little statue that may be spirit-shaped. He also placed the Blue Light Stone on another statue not far from there facing each other. When Claryn said the heirloom could reflect an attack, she remembered how mirrors work. Although a little strange, because now that reflects even the stone, not the mirror.

The man suddenly daydreamed and accidentally dropped the magic book. He looked at the heirloom and the mirror fragments with a blank look. “What am I doing this right?” Cyrus remembers her friends. Aleesia was indeed impossible to kill people, but the worst possibility was that the three of them were caught.

There's no need to hesitate. If I manage to destroy these mirror fragments, I'll go back to them.

The Sparkle of Eternal Flame floated along with Cyrus' body which began to burn. Hot air enveloped the place, making the grass and leaves at the end of the tree also burned even though the distance was far enough.

“Tuz!”

Flames appeared in the air after the spell was uttered. Cyrus touched the fire with both hands and raised it. Not only the size, the color also began to change to blue because the temperature increased. The man focused on exerting all his strength, until a golden-winged female figure was caught by his eyes.

Aleesia flew in from the south while aiming for the bow. Cyrus no matter how many arrows of light would be stuck in his body later, he remained focused, because soon the fireball would be perfect. Princess Elvangel was about to release an arrow, but suddenly a giant fire creature whizzed and smashed into her tiny body. The girl bounced back and hit a tree.

Aleesia created a tree of light and healed the wound. He again aimed his bow at Cyrus, about to shoot, but it was too late. A large white fireball was perfectly created by the fire youth. Cyrus fired a white flame at the Blue Light Stone, which was then reflected off the mirror. If an ordinary fire could already cause a loud enough explosion, then this attack was a disaster.

A flash of light slashed the eyes of the two teenagers there, then there was a very powerful white fire explosion. Not only trees, soil and rocks are also eroded by the heat of the fire. Aleesia took refuge behind the tree of light. The holy defense was indeed strong, but luck also took sides. It is still far from the blast radius so it is not too severe.

Meanwhile, the team that had just come up with a ride on the giant crow Arcus had to come to a halt. They did not expect that the effects of the destruction of the mirror fragments would be this severe. After the explosion ended, thick smoke poured down a large hole below, raising fears of Cyrus' condition. However, better than all that was their mission had been completed.

“Finally, this is all over,” Ayaka said as she shed happy tears.

“Give it to him!” cry Arcus through the crow.

The team fell into a puff of smoke, but did not land on the ground. It turned out that a portal was created after the mirror was destroyed and that was what attracted their bodies. The portal shut down immediately when the four teenagers made it in. Aleesia looked at the explosion marks from a distance. They all disappeared, there was nothing left, except smoke from the ground and a giant crow on it.

 “Where am I?”

Cyrus got up and looked around. There was nothing there, just a pitch-black empty place, with no sights, sounds, or life. No one, he was alone. It really looks like the future, but it's not what he's headed for.

“Did I die? It doesn't seem.”

“Sorry to keep you waiting,” said a black-haired man with a crow on his shoulder. The man he should never see again, Arcus Ferront.

Cyrus clucking. “This is the afterlife, it's worth meeting you.”

“Terlarah. I just want to congratulate you and divulge a not-so-important secret that you should know.”

“Tell me! I don't care, I just want to go back.”

“We have the same bloodline. No doubt, we have the same eyes. If you want to change your mother's destiny to be happier and give up your life, kill me now! I'm sincere.”

Cyrus breathed. “It won't work and I don't want it to happen either.”

Arcus smiled, though a little strange, but it was completely sincere. “I know who you are, where you are, your past, how bad you are. The thing that I definitely did certainly made my descendants to become a better person. That's not wrong, the fact that your trip to the past is destiny and a time where you have to change.”

“I won't change, no matter how hard you change me. I will create myself, without the help of anyone.”

Cyrus burned his hand and stabbed Arcus in the chest, hitting his heart. There was no life, then no blood, the black-haired man's body slowly faded, fusing with the darkness.

“I understand. You guys take it easy, I'll try to forget everything related to the future. Because I hate it.”

Cyrus finally regained consciousness after successfully killing Arcus in the illusionary world. The man raised his hand which was clutching a scroll of paper. Somehow it can be there, but it seems that is what mediates the illusion.

A few moments later, a group of crows flew past and dropped a feather over his head. The man said, “Raven.”

“Yes, did you call me?” ask someone who suddenly appeared beside her.

Cyrus was wide-eyed, only to realize that he was currently on the shoulders of a giant golden ape. “What happened, why am I here?”

Cyrus turned her head towards the reddish-black-haired male student wearing the Maple Academy uniform. He does not remember the names of people, but from his response it is clear that his name is Raven. The man was also with the senior woman he knew, Claryn. It's a sign that they're really back.

“Welcome to the future!”
