Maple High School Academy Year 3
The Uninvited Guest for Betelgeuse - 2

2

HIGH-LINED SHELVES, containing wooden boxes that store old items, as well as floors that make their shoes bulky, are proof that the academy warehouse is not taken care of at all. Betelgeuse was responsible for overcoming that after being caught inserting Shrink Potion—raman tertil—ke into his classmate's drink, tired of seeing booths and being chased by fanatical fans. After all it's just a potion. Betelgeuse does not use magic according to festival rules. But still, he was hired and in the trial of three teachers at once. It's okay, because it has become routine. Usually the teachers would release him after babbling for five hours in turn and he would just sit, peel, knock on the table, look at the stack of books, and occasionally fall asleep while drooling. It's just that the patience of the teachers reached the limit.

Thus, Betelgeuse ended up being punished for cleaning up the academy's old warehouse that had never been opened for thirty years and had to be finished before the Humanday festival ended. It became an opportunity for Kannika to transact. To his cleverness, the clean-up power aid was valued at twelve wizer per person by Betelgeuse, a price sufficient to meet the needs of one day's life.

During the process, two people often cough due to dust. Who else if not Sam and Akkadian, the nobleman who never lived hard. After all, no matter how hard, the two of them had never done any rough work, and although there were no complaints at all, the two of them had only endured desperately to keep Kannika's hammer from drifting from her waist bag. The tiny man does not hesitate to crumble something, including a person's hands or feet if disturbed when his mood is bad. The mindset, nature, and behavior are no different from his father, the ex-con with a murder case, except for the way Kannika treats someone older as a sign there is blood from a virtuous woman in her body.

Of the five people who work, Galavidi counted the most relaxed, just sitting around until one of them called to help something. There is not much a blind man can do. Had Betelgeuse not given him a wage, it would have been natural. So, there are only 36 wizers that will fit into the team's pockets, or will be more if Betelgeuse is generous.

As the day grew darker, the academy grounds began to glitter and small explosions of fireworks flashed colourful in the night sky, the old warehouse had been cleared. Kannika sat on a wooden box that had not been put on the shelf while grinding her fingers. Akkadian supine, straightened his back and felt a cold sensation from the tiles.

The light from the oil lantern that Sam carried melted away with the laughter of Betelgeuse carrying a bag of bread and two bottles of drinking water. “Hahaha! Eat my servants, I greatly appreciate the hard work of all of you.”

Sam thumped his teeth. He wanted to curse, but Betelgeuse was beside him. Sam thought that such brazen and arbitrary attitude obtained after being appointed Lord of Darkness, turned out to be wrong. Betelgeuse has been minimal morals since young, maybe even since not destined to be born into the world.

“Here-here, we gather. Just relax, do not scramble because the bread is very much. Hows it? Aren't I very kind?” Betelgeuse put down the bread bag and the drinking bottle.

Kannika stared intently at Betelgeuse. “Hei, Kunyuk! You don't want to thank me first before insulting us?”

Betelgeuse sat down cross-legged and picked up a piece of bread after Sam put down the oil lantern. “Why should you thank me? Me, right who paid you?” he said relax with his mouth full of bread.

Kannika. “Kit's—”

“Already, don't forward.” Galavidi gently rebukes. “We have to eat, Ann. Can you lead me? I think Akka has joined the others.”

“Ya.”

There was no talk other than a cold piercing the skin, while the light from the oil lantern dimmed. Actually, the old warehouse had a lighting source. However, the lights of the old warehouse had already been replaced with magic lights, making it useless as it is today. It was an atmosphere that greeted Galavidi as his eyesight opened. And thanks to the bristling lanterns, he could see the appearance of Betelgeuse even though it was faint.

“You're not with your friends?” Galavidi opened his voice.

Betelgeuse felt the gaze of Galavidi also replied, “Wah, it turns out your eyes are still useful, yes?” He's stunned. “I don't know where they are going. Maybe there is an affair with friends kali—“ Betelgeuse suddenly stop talking.

Tim Charming looked at each other. One of the famous rumors that circulated anti-prefects in Maple Academy was when LoD was young had a herd named Half-Blood Noblesses Squad. However, no matter how famous the group was, Betelgeuse's mischief was the most popular. If so, is it not normal that his friends do not care about the distress made by Betelgeuse himself?

Sam grinned and then muttered, “Fallen Angel if rhinoceros skinned, yes this is what it will be. Don't know shy.”

Betelgeuse's eyebrows shot up one after hearing Sam's murmur beside him. “How did you know I was Fallen Angel?” From his voice, Betelgeuse looked more curious, whereas Galavidi saw a suspicious look on his face.

“First, I'm the underclassman who follows gossip. Your name has often accompanied those rumors. Second, because I can get to know my own race.” Sam answered it smoothly even if it was just an essay. Isn't he talented at lying?

“You Fallen Angel? Woah, I'm ... ordinary, hell.” Betelgeuse laughed again.

Sam's eyes flashed. “You wouldn't say that if you had met Ashlen.”

“Sam is handsome, but because he doesn't want me, he's ugly,” Galavidi taunts.

Betelegeuse enjoyed the night with their bullshit, before long she took out a bag and placed more wizer coins than the deal next to a dying oil lantern. “Stan-stan is closed. We should go back to the dorm, right? If I need a maid again, I'll let you guys know.”

“We are not into dorm.” Kannika got up, then took out some wooden boxes from the shelves. Before Betelgeuse asked, Sam said, “We were also punished for messing up hostel.”

Betelgeuse exclaims, “Basic brat!”

“You are the same,” said Galavidi, “By the way, you want to have fun with us?”

“You challenged me?” Betelgeuse looked down at Galavidi.

“No. I only offer excitement.”

Betelgeuse's asymmetrical smile appears. “Say!”

Akkadian and Sam watched Galavidi as he clapped his hands once. “Yosh! Tomorrow is Beerfest Day, a beer celebration that adults look forward to. Back then, the students were allowed out of the academy to enjoy the festival from outside.”

“You invited me to a beer race?”

“Stupid!” Kannika shouted, then prepared to sleep in a wooden box that had been arranged elongated and enough for four people.

Galavidi held back a laugh. “Morning tomorrow we meet behind the south wall of the academy. Don't forget to bring all the ingredients you have. Now, sir is welcome to go. The door is over there, yes.”

Sam, Galavidi, and Akkadian watched Betelgeuse until it disappeared from view, then closed the barn door.

“What are you planning?” akkadian asked after they had gathered on the wooden box.

Galavidi has a serious face. “About which part of the mirror is stored?”

“That must be in the untouched part.” Kannika. The man did not really sleep even though his eyes were closed.

Sam thought hard. As far as he knew, Betelgeuse had the abilities of Dark Magic and Mind Control, not cell regeneration. In fact, their mission is to take mirror fragments from the body. So, someone who put down that mirror fragment was definitely thinking of many considerations, including this kind of worst possibility. Although the mirror flakes are valuable, the containers are much more valuable considering that not just anyone can withstand the effects.

“Wings, it is a part of the body that is not at risk and is rarely shown,” Sam said.

“True.” Galavidi gave a thumbs up, then stopped talking because Sam's behavior separated the wooden boxes that had been arranged Kannika “What do you do?”

“I fear that there will be a normal response that the body gives during sleep due to chemical messenger changes between cells if it does not separate itself from you.” Sam sat bowing, scooping his face with both hands resting on his thighs as he breathed. “Don't mind me, just continue saying.”

For a moment, Galavidi felt something was different, then said, Sam why?
