Apex

SUNSHINE IN Darksville never stings the skin, but does not make this region cold as the northern part of the Autumnland. Although the Darksville area has limited lighting, it does not deny the fact that the area has its own uniqueness. Just like the existence of Shine-like animals that often appear in the morning until late afternoon. However, the existence of these animals will be rare when night comes, unless there are residents who make it as a pet, a substitute for lights that do not have much effect at night.

Darksville-born Candra has strong inner bonds with each region, especially when she accidentally finds a wounded baby Shine who appears separated from her mother. Shine's baby, who is not even ten months old, suffered injuries to his front legs, making it difficult for him to walk. Being lulled to help the animal, Candra had unknowingly left her team. Looking at the distance between the mushroom forest and the harbor far enough away, Candra planned to rest for a while. His feet were cramped due to most walking.

Baby Shine, who was helped by Candra, looked comfortable even though it was placed on a round rattan webbing, then coated with a handkerchief so as not to injure the body of the animal that was seen snoring it. “You're tough enough for a kid your age that a parent leaves behind.” Candra stroked Shine's bluish shiny feathers slowly. His heart seemed to understand what suffering baby Shine was facing.

“It's okay if you feel scared and want to cry. No need to be held-resistant, at least here no one will see.” As if having a connection with her consciousness, Candra felt her palms wet. He rubbed his face, it turned out that there were water droplets there. “Ah, I'm sweating, yes?” Then shortly thereafter, droplets of water droplets appeared from space. Candra looked up, letting the rain down on her face. “It turns out it's raining.”

 “Hairy Creature, are you sure we're not lost here? Our feelings are just twirling,” said Evander who began to doubt Arion's sense of smell. “It's enough to be directional blind, I hope you don't disappoint with your troubled nose.”

Since the conditions of the Mushroom Forest around Gantor affect their vision, appointing Arion as a guide is a wise choice. Well ... although they had to turn the road several times due to false clues that mislead Arion's smell.

 Candra's weak condition due to the rain made the skinny witch have to rely on Arion's back which has an advantage in physical. “Satisfied sleeping, Prince?” arion quipped when Candra asked to be taken down from her sling.

The blonde wizard was forced to stop stepping when his heart suddenly churned. There is a sudden pain invaded the heart. He patted his chest several times, making the team members worried.

“You're not okay, Can?” Ashlen helped to get Candra to sit on one of the giant mushrooms that had an arch large enough to hold two people sitting on it.

Candra replied with a sling. The mask that had been covering part of his face was thrown into a careless place. He taps the headscarf and pulls the hair back, thus accentuating the entire part of his face. The black irregular streaks that were around his eyes were clearly visible. Candra's breath hunts, she's greedy in breathing air. It was as if his neck was being wrapped around something abstract.

“Drink this.” Evander gave a greenish concoction of vitamins that were able to give energy injections of several percent to Candra for free, without urate war first. “Not that I care about you. I just want us to finish the mission.” immediately

Arion nodded. “Because in Gantor we did not feel the reaction in the mirror, we asked for help from the Bearded Witch earlier to take us across the island. You, don't mind, do you, Can?”

“Of course, no! But ..., it seems that now we are in Apex, yes?”

“Yes, said the person we met the street, they mentioned that the building was  …. ” Arion points to a tall tower that is supposedly said to be the residence of Archimage and Darksville Auditors. “... is Apex.”

“You sleep like a dead man, Can. So, we randomly select the location of the mirror destruction,” Ashlen said, adding.

For a moment, while trying to neutralize his feelings, Candra finally opened her voice. “Hmm... during my sleep, the mirror still has not reacted in Apex?”

“Alright, before evening arrives, we better hurry away from here.” Moreover, the uncomfortable feeling is really disturbing.

 Among the plains in Darksville, the only place Candra avoided the most was Apex. The tall tower that can see almost the entire Darksville region has a bad reputation in its memory. By the age of 10 years, Candra was isolated due to the curse she suffered. He was locked up in the Apex tower because it was considered to be the place that had the fewest inhabitants compared to other places.

Through special permission from Archimage at that time, Candra was given a special mark on the left cheek. However, as a teenager, the seal fades, but given the sign that she should be avoided by those around her, Candra often feels slumped. He remembered very well how condescending gaze as well as the fear that had been given by people who had crossed paths with him. Therefore, Candra was most reluctant to set foot in the region.

Since there was no reaction from the mirror, the team decided to continue on to Emgel. Instantly, Candra felt her heart a little airy because she did not have to linger in the area that made her feel claustrophobic.
