Marlangens
Kuntilanak Men

My acquaintance with Amel and Bayu made us eventually become close friends. Every time we were on campus, we walked together. I felt so happy because I finally had a friend.

Amel was very considerate and kind to me, and so was Bayu. Although Bayu often talk at will but I know, he tries to always be honest and does not cover the words with sweet talk.

As I promised Amel the other day, today for the first time I'm going to play at a friend's house. From the time I was in the village, not once did my father allow me to play at home with school friends or neighbors.

They should be the ones playing at my house. So I'm so happy to finally be able to feel the play at a friend's house. Especially friends as good as Amel.

After college, the three of us had slid to Amel's house using Bayu's car, before that I had informed Rante Rani of course, to leave late. I don't want to say that ponakan has no custom because it goes without saying goodbye.

Finally after traveling half an hour, we arrived at the house of Amel who looks simple but beautiful.

Many trees in front of his house, I got out of the car and followed Amel and Bayu into the house of Amel.

But before I got into Amel's house, I felt like I was being watched by something. I looked back, but there was no one. I tried to ignore my feelings and chose to come to Amel's house.

In Amel's house, Bayu and I were welcomed by Amel's mother. The middle-aged woman who still looked beautiful was very friendly to welcome me who had just played to Amel's house for the first time.

"Amel's new party?" he asked me a moment after I kissed his hand.

"Yes, Auntie," I said gently.

"Pantesan, new aunt see. Usually, Amel's friends are not beautiful" said Amel's mother.

"Well, the only one playing at home is Bayu. She is handsome also not least beautiful, Mah," continued Amel with giggles.

"Bully just keep going, Mel," muttered Bayu.

Amel just laughs at the pouting face of Bayu. Amel and her mother also laughed when Amel teased Bayu.

"But really, you are beautiful." Amel's mother still praises me for making my face red.

"Thank you, Auntie," I said.

After chatting with Amel's mother, we sat in the living room next to which was a small garden.

"Your house is cool, Mel," I said in amazement.

"Because of the many plants and trees surrounding my house, Langen," he replied as he opened a snack jar to serve me and Bayu.

"But in my opinion, the atmosphere looks gloomy because your house is rich in ketelen taneman," said Bayu.

"Sureman live lo kali, Bay," replied Amel with a veiled face.

"Well, that's sewot."

I just smiled at the debate between Amel and Bayu, which actually looks funny.

Without feeling the time has gone up at night, I ask for a farewell to Amel and his mother. Bayu, of course, who drove me home, I did not understand the way around Amel's house.

"When you play again, yes," Amel's mother told me kindly.

"Yes, Auntie," I said sumringah.

Amel must be very happy, having such a caring mother. If my mother were still around, maybe I'd be as happy as Amel.

"langen, woy. Why even daydream?" Bayu's voice roused me from the daydream about mom.

When Amel drove me and Bayu to the front door, suddenly one of the branches of the star fruit tree in front of Amel's house moved by itself. The three of us looked up at the tree.

Oh my God, I was really shocked to see the creature I saw under the starfruit tree.

I saw that there was a creature resembling a kuntilanak but it looked bigger but skinny, with long dreadlocks.

His way of walking crawled upside down aka kayang, but his head turned a hundred and eighty degrees.

His nails are long and his eyes are bright red. I wanted to scream, as the creature crawled quickly towards me.

But before the creature got closer to me, he suddenly retreated again and crawled back to the tree.

"Ah, it's just the wind" said Amel with a stiff smile. His face was hiding something.

I wanted to ask Amel if he knew there was a creepy creature sitting in front of his house, but I felt that Amel wanted to keep it a secret from me and Bayu.

Maybe I'll just ask him tomorrow when we're just the two of us.

When I got home, I went straight to my room, changed my clothes and took a shower.

In the bathroom, I kept thinking about the creepy creature that lived in the tree in front of Amel's house and it seemed that Amel also knew, but he tried to cover it up.

*****

The male Kuntilanak is the figure I just saw at Amel's house . I've seen it a few times, but that's when I was living in the village.

I can't believe that in a city this big there are still male kuntilanak.

Since when did the kuntilanak man stay in the star tree in front of Amel's house? There must have been someone who intentionally nurtured and brought him there.

After I finished the shower, I rushed back to my room. But just a few steps out of the bathroom and closing the door, I heard someone calling my name from the direction of the bathroom.

Out of curiosity, I opened the bathroom door again. But all I saw was an empty room there was no one. I closed the bathroom door again, maybe I heard wrong, I thought reassuringly.

As I passed by Sella's room, I suddenly heard Sella screaming for help.

I was shocked by Sella's screams and broke down the door of her room, but when the door was open, I saw Sella lying on the bed and playing her game.

"Hey, you're okay, go in someone's room, excuse me!!" snarl Sella to me.

"So I heard you scream for help, Cell" I answered honestly.

"Shouted what? I have been in them since! Lo gausah alesan deh . You want me to do it, right?"

"I swear I didn't think so" I said, bowing.

"Halaah even if you try to get me, I will not be afraid! Get out of my room!" Dispel Sella with a slender tone.

I went to my room too, but I sure didn't hear wrong. I did hear Sella's scream as if she was terrified.

I also heard a voice calling my name in the bathroom.

But whose voice is it? And why do I feel like I've been observed lately by something.

Does this have anything to do with the half-snake woman. I've always been dead-ended every time I think about it.
