Marlangens

Marlangens
CHAPTER 20

My trip and Adit returned to Jakarta accompanied by heavy rain. I always ask about Adit's condition, I'm afraid he's soybean.

"Dit mending we rest first at the gas station, I don't want you soy sauce," I asked.

"I'm not cape, Langen. You relax," Adit replies while staying focused on driving.

"After all, if our gas station stops!!" my orders are a little loud.

"Jeez Langen can be fierce too, if later so my wife do not be fierce, yes" he said casually while chuckling.

I didn't answer, fortunately the car wasn't too bright so Adit didn't see my face red as a tomato. I know Adit was just joking, but my heart was really pounding.

We stopped at a gas station with a minimarket. We were of course hungry because we had lunch last time when Adit and I stopped by the barracks restaurant.

Adit came out using the umbrella he put in the back seat, before he asked my order. When Adit was out to the minimarket, I opened the wooden box again. But before I opened it, I greeted the song that I used to say when I was scared.

Ana kidung rumeksa ing wengi

Teguh ayu luputa ing lelara

Luputa barangi kabeh

Jin satan datan purun

Tan ana wani's

Miwah panggau

Gunaning wong escape

The atemahan tirta

Maling adoh tan ana ngarah mring mami

To sit down pan vanished.

Somehow just after I sang that song, I felt safe and calm. I opened the wooden box using my neck pendulum. I touched carefully that golden yellow keris, a beautiful keris but made me shudder every time I touched it.

"It's cold outside." Complain Adit by tightening his jacket.

"I'm sorry because of me you're so hard" I said unwell.

"Don't tell me that, Langen. Your problem, my problem as well" he said as he opened the packet of snacks.

"Thank you" I said sincerely.

Almost two hours Adit and I were at the gas station, we finally went back to Jakarta.

******

I arrived at Om Bagas' house at Six in the morning, when Om Bagas asked why I came home so early in the morning. I replied that Amel's family had come home.

After I was in my room I put the brown wooden box on my desk. My body feels very cape, I also choose to sleep. It just so happened that today I was off college so I could spend some time sleeping.

I don't know how long I closed my eyes, when I woke up my eyes were fixed on the shadow of someone standing next to my bed. I also got up from my sleep. The tenyata I saw was the father without a shroud, the Father with the form as when will put me to sleep first. Without thinking, I hugged my father.

"Bapakk, Langen kangen," I said sobbing. I really miss Father.

"Well, you found your keris. Your fate is ono neng your hands," said the Father by stroking my hair gently.

"Langen kudu piye, sir?" much

"Ojo wedi, you strong zinc boy, Nduk. Sorry, Mr. wes rabiso njaga your crew. Dear father koe, Nduk. You say goodbye, "" said the Father as he stood away from me.

I tried to reach the Father and shouted to call his name, but the shadow of the Father faded.

I woke up with a wet face from tears, a dream that felt very real. Why do I feel like this time you've really gone from my side. I feel alone, I feel like I have nowhere to depend. Should I go through all this alone?

"Mr, Langen promised to be a stronger person. Dear Mr Langen" I said softly while sobbing.
