Chapter 23. Solving Problems

Feeling that there was nothing more to hear, Nadya went into the bathroom to clean herself up. Let Reno and Marisa solve their problems.

Nadya awakens as soon as Reno leaves her alone in the room. There is an uncomfortable feeling that Nadya feels once she knows Reno left her after they made love. But what Nadya can do, Reno may want to meet Marisa who had knocked on their room door.

And sure enough, Nadya heard Reno talking to Marisa. Nadya's curiosity, made her eavesdrop on the conversation of her husband and his first wife.

Nadya may feel relieved now Marisa is no longer Reno's wife, but is it really that easy Reno fell in love and turned to her.

Staring at himself in the mirror, Nadya smiled wryly. Many marks left by Reno on his neck and chest are remnants of their romance earlier. But this sign doesn't guarantee Reno really loves her.

Now Nadya knows why Reno is so easy to accept herself into the life of the man. Reno's words to Marisa that he heard earlier were very clear, Reno accepted it because she was the woman that Dina had always wanted to be his wife.

Reno only embodies Dina's wishes, not hers. How should Nadya behave? Doesn't he himself still hold a taste in Anjas?

"Darling." Nadya's blood rippled at Reno's call, who was smiling at her.

Her husband had just walked into their room, Nadya had no idea what was going on between Marisa and Reno after she left to the bathroom. From the smile that Reno showed, it was clear that her husband was happy.

"Woke up from earlier?" reno asked while taking over the hair dryer that was in Nadya's hands.

Nadya could only stare in disbelief at Reno's treatment of her. Her husband took over helping her dry her hair.

Reno kissed Nadya's cheeks after she finished being an impromptu salon employee. His face again gave off a happy smile.

"Are you happy to have divorced him, Mas." - Nadya wondered.

"Prepare, we go for a walk this afternoon" Reno told Nadya.

"Where?"

"Dating." whispered Reno who made a red tinge on Nadya's cheeks visible.

Reno likes Nadya's blushing face because of her, it feels like she wants to repeat her unification again. But Reno remembers there's one more thing she has to solve before she and Nadya together build the perfect household.

Nadya was ready to leave, as soon as her husband came out of the bathroom. Her husband? Now Reno is just her husband, no longer the husband of Marisa and Nadya. Can Nadya be proud of that?

The Netra they met, again Reno's face painted a charming smile. How Nadya is not proud, if she is always presented with a charming smile Reno who is only for her.

"Come." take Reno who already looks neat. Wearing only a t-shirt, her husband looked much more relaxed than usual wearing a shirt and suit. Makes Nadya wonder, where did Reno take her.

"Mas, why are we here?" nadya asked as soon as Reno parked her vehicle at the restaurant where Nadya worked.

"Don't you want to stop working?" Reno asked back.

"But tomorrow."

Reno grabbed Nadya's hand, "Faster is better, baby." said Reno then kissed his wife's fingers by passing it one-on-one.

"Nadya." call Anjas as soon as he sees Nadya entering his room.

Anjas's face painted a smile, since Reno had received his call to Nadya, Anjas had become unfocused on work and urgency, the chef said.

"I called you, but...."

"Yes I know, Mas Reno is answering your phone" Nadya said, cutting off Anjas.

"So it's true that he's Reno Bagaskara, the famous young businessman. Is he really your brother? I mean Marisa's statement in the media, did she cover up her relationship with Reno by carrying your name." said Anjas at length, everything that had been on her mind now he conveyed to Nadya.

"An, I'm sorry."

Anjas frowned not understanding, "Sorry for?" ask Anjas.

"I lied to you."

"Lying in what way?"

"Mas Reno, he's not my brother, he's...."

"So right, Marisa made you cover up her relationship with the businessman."

Anjas silently heard Nadya's request, "Sorry." Anjas replied.

"Mas Reno is my husband."

This time Anjas can't talk anymore. Nadya's confession was something she denied as soon as Marisa admitted Reno was her brother-in-law.

Anjas of course knows Marisa who hates Nadya a lot and that's because of her. That's why Anjas does not want to tell Nadya, if she knows Marisa even rejected the love of the woman. And because of that too, Anjas does not tell Nadya if Marisa is Nadya's half-brother. All Anjas do so that Nadya is not confused with Marisa. And when the news about Marisa involves Nadya's name, there is a sense of worry that Anjas feels. But now that worry turns to disappointment.

In the face of Nadya's face deep, there are no lies there. Nadya was honest this time.

"Since when?" ask Anjas lirih.

"Before grandma's surgery? I'm sorry to keep this from you, An. I'm not ready, all of a sudden. But I can't lie to you forever. I'm sorry Anjas."

Silence, no one else spoke. Only occasionally did Anjas' deep breaths release the tightness he felt. Nadya is getting harder and harder to reach, but Anjas can what? Nadya has made her decision.

"Pads." Nadya gave her resignation letter to Anjas.

"Thank you for everything you've ever given me, it means so much to me. Sorry I had to stop working. Not Reno's request, but my own self-awareness. Because we can't get as close as we used to."

"But we can still meet, right?"

Nadya nodded, "Thank you Anjas, you always understand my circumstances."

"I'm sorry I'm also Nad, maybe all this time I've hurt you a lot. Loved you but got engaged to another woman" Anjas said.

"We are destined to be friends not a match" replied Nadya .

"Yes you're right, meaning we're still friends." Anjas replied.

"Friend." replied Nadya.

"Friend." replied Anjas.

Both are smiling. Nadya is relieved, she can solve her problem with Anjas. This is better than forcing yourself to put their feelings together.

"I'm home, An. See you." said Nadya saying goodbye to Anjas.

Nadya's fear of anger Anjas now changed into a happy smile. Anjas wants to accept his apology. Anjas is always able to understand himself and always gives in to his happiness. Didn't Nadya during this time also relented, by letting Anjas get engaged to another woman.

"You came alone?" ask Anjas.

Nadya shook her head, "There's a Reno waiting in front."

"She let you talk to me alone, didn't she..."

"Mas Reno believes I won't do anything bad. He also believes you are my best friend" Nadya answered Anjas' unfinished question.

Anjas escorted Nadya to the place where Reno had been waiting for his wife. Reno's smile greeted Nadya's approaching presence.

"Have baby?" reno asked as he looked closely at his wife. From what Reno saw, everything was fine. Anjas can see great love for Nadya through Reno's shady gaze.

"Thank you for taking good care of Nadya" Reno reached out to Anjas.

"Titip Nadya, make her always happy." Anjas replied while replying to Reno's hand.

Nadya who stands between the two feels grateful, her husband and best friend can be friends. "This is better" said Nadya.
