In the morning of overseas time, Kevin woke up from his sleep. He heard noise from outside.
Kevin went straight out of his room towards the noise. In his parents' room, he found his father had fallen out of bed.
" What's going on?" ask Kevin.
" I don't know, my mom was in the kitchen cooking. Suddenly something fell." Say mother.
Kevin immediately lifted and moved his papa body onto the wheelchair.
" Sister, is it possible that papa got out of bed by himself?" ask Jesy.
Kevin looked at his face.
" Is dad trying to get out of bed?" ask Kevin.
His father only spoke in a hoarse and indistinct voice. Kevin ensured the condition of his papa that there were no injuries at all.
" Take your papa sunbathing." Say mother.
Kevin immediately pushed the wheelchair behind his house. Behind the house there is a very small yard, there his papa in the sun.
He stood on his knees in front of his father.
" Pa, you're going back to your homeland. I hope you agree with my idea." Said Kevin.
His father simply said the word aaaa, and Kevin interpreted the word in agreement.
Then he left his papa to sunbathe. At the dinner table was his mother and sister.
" Mommy cooked your favorite food, baby." Said his mother while putting a plate that already contains food right in front of her child.
" Thank you ma." Kevin said as he began to enjoy his meal.
" Ma, get everything ready." Kevin said quickly.
" What?" ask her mother confused.
" Did you forget, then I talked about this with you, about moving you all to the homeland." Kevin explained to his mother again.
" It looks like we're not going to come." Said her mother slowly.
" But ma." Jesy looks pouty.
" Why ma? There you don't have to bother selling anymore." Say Kevin again.
" Mama's decision is already round, we will not go to the country." Said his mother firmly.
Kevin put down the spoon.
" Alright I won't force you, but give me one reason why you're still here." Kevin said quickly.
Jesy and Kevin looked at his mother. They want to hear the reason for their mother.
" Because of Jasmin." Said her mother slowly.
" Brother Jasmin? Come on, ma, surely Jasmin understands, he's a good guy too." Said his sister.
" You don't understand Jesy." Said her mother slowly.
" What does mama mean?" Kevin approached his mother and sat down next to his mother.
" You know how much we owe him. There's no way we're just leaving." Say mother.
Kevin was silent, he could not speak anymore.
" You know, his family helps our family a lot. Debt can't be repaid with anything." Say mother.
" Mommy's right, so what do you want me to do, so you all want to come with me." Kevin said quickly.
Her mother was silent, she held her son's hand.
" Jasmin is a good woman, until now she has not had a lover. Maybe because of his busy life, he didn't even think about it. What's wrong with you getting married, you don't have a partner yet." Said her mother slowly.
Kevin immediately moved from his chair, he looked riled and confused, he paced back and forth in front of his loved ones.
" Ma, is there no choice for me." Kevin was confused.
" Mommy won't force you to marry her. But how do we repay this debt." Her mother was confused.
" Don't kid don't, this is just my mom's idea, her family never mentioned it again. If you're heavily married to her, that's fine, but let us stay here. Mama wants to see Jasmin get married and happy." Said her mother slowly.
Kevin looks awry, he can't make a decision. He left the dining table and left the house. Kevin wants to calm the mind by looking for fresh air outside the house.
He walked every street on foot. Breathing in the fresh morning air.
" Ma, why did you say that again to Kevin's brother. Do you want to get Kevin's brother out of this house again." Grumpy Jesy.
" Jesy, you don't know what it's like to be indebted, that debt can't be repaid by money." Say mother.
" So according to my mother, if Kevin is married to Jasmin, the debt will be paid off." Grumpy Jesy.
" Maybe it will never pay off, at least your insecurities will grow back by marrying the two of them."
" I don't understand my mother's way of thinking, which I obviously disagree with my mother's decision. Did you ever think of your sister's feelings." Grumpy Jesy.
" Jessy! Don't teach your mom about something. Mama didn't force your sister to agree to any of this." Said his mother angry.
" Yes, my mom didn't push, but she made Kevin feel guilty." Grumpy Jesy.
Jesy leaves his own mother at home, looking for her brother. Kevin's still down the street. He took his phone.
" I miss you Nik." Said Kevin while looking at his phone screen.
" Sister." Jesy said as he patted his brother on the shoulder.
" Oh you." Kevin said, saving his phone.
" Whose picture is that?" ask brother.
" Which one?" Kevin looks nervous.
" It's on my sister's phone." Said his brother while pointing at Kevin's pocket.
" Nothing." Kevin tries to avoid back-to-back questions from his sister.
They walk in tandem.
" Why did you leave your mom alone?" ask Kevin.
" Not alone, there's papa at home." Jesy said quickly.
Kevin nodded his head, he forgot his papa figure for a moment.
" Sister."
" Hmm."
They keep going hand in hand.
" What do you think of my mother's words?" asked Jesy while glancing at his brother.
" I don't know, you're confused too, but it's impossible for you to let you guys here either." Said Kevin while looking straight ahead.
" Sister, I give you advice. Don't sacrifice your sister's happiness to obey your mother's request." Said his sister.
Kevin looked at his sister with a smile. Jesy looks more mature than six years ago.
" You know what you mean by happiness." Ask Kevin.
" Look, happiness is a feeling of pleasure and serenity that continues to exist." Jesy.
Kevin ruffled his sister's hair.
" Oh brother, I said the truth. If you sacrifice your happiness for others in this case, your life will not be peaceful." Said his sister.
" You want your brother to be a bad boy." Answer Kevin quickly.
" No, just I don't want you to sacrifice yourself brother and sister's feelings. Even though I don't know who's in my phone. But I came to the conclusion that he's valuable to you." Said his sister.
" Ah you're a cute sister." Said Kevin while embracing his sister's shoulder.
" For this morning enough exercise. Let's go back to the house." Take Kevin while still embracing his sister's shoulder.
