Traitorous Proof

Milaine orders Luke and Aleda to drag Deon and Mayra into the mansion. Conrad and Veno rush to Milaine to ask for an explanation of the current situation.

“What happened? What did you do to Mayra?” Conrad asked in an anxious tone.

Conrad was worried not because he saw Mayra's condition but he was worried that Milaine would stumble into trouble until he was forced to step down from the seat of the prospective heir. However, seeing from how cold Milaine's gaze was, it meant that something big had happened involving Mayra.

“Daddy, when do you come back? I just caught a traitor in this residence.”

“Traitor?”

Milaine's index finger is pointing at Mayra. “He is a traitor, Father. He teamed up with someone I don't know who it was to take down Lysander Group.”

Milaine reveals Mayra's betrayal clearly. Conrad and Veno are getting confused. All ears that heard also looked very surprised once Milaine accused Mayra of being a traitor.

“Good. While I check the evidence, please lock Mayra up in the dungeon. As for Deon, take care of his funeral right away,” Conrad orders Veno.

Veno and several of the mansion's guards took Mayra to the dungeon. Deon's body was also transported to the mourning room. That night, the entire mansion was rowdy due to the death of Deon who was killed by Milaine.

“Are you sure? Deon was killed by Milaine?”
