Chapter 49 - All Wrong

Richard and Naya's relationship did not escape Helen's vision. He cried happily when he saw his son find the moor of his heart.

"Hopefully your household will remain harmonious and happy. Mama's prayer is always with you both."

Because she did not want to disturb the togetherness of Richard and Naya, Helen also did not come to both. He turned towards the living room where there was Ele who was relaxing while playing her phone.

"Where's ma from?" ask Ele.

"Park, but it's not there," replied Helen.

"Why ma?" ask Ele again.

"Your brother and sister-in-law are there. My mom doesn't want to interrupt their time. Let them enjoy the company."

"Well, maybe Richard's brother will be this little guy again, hehe," said Ele while thinking about the bright idea in his brain.

"Don't think of anything weird!" prevent Helen before Ele does something that Richard would upset.

"Hehe, no ma," replied Ele with her distinctive grin.

Helen sits next to Ele, she sets the television to watch her favorite soap opera.

Three days passed, Richard finally decided to go back to work and end his retirement. Although he still wants to spend time with his beloved wife, but his company also needs him.

"Leon, prepare the file that we'll be meeting with Rico," Richard asked his secretary.

"Good boss."

Leon prepared what his boss ordered. No need to wait for a long time, Leon has put the file into the folder.

Richard and Leon get out of Richard's room and take the elevator.

"Leon," call Richard while they're still in the elevator.

"Yes boss" replied Leon.

"What would you do if you met someone who hurt you?" ask Richard.

"Em, if I'm a personal boss. I would certainly have him in prison if what he did put my life at risk. I will make him regret having dealt with me and harming me. All of these actions must have consequences, boss. Otherwise, there will be no deterrent effect on the perpetrator" replied Leon.

"But what if the person who harmed you wasn't a random person? He has almost the same power as you. Surely just putting him in jail would be easy for him to get out of that prison through his power." Richard opened the discussion again.

"The only way is to break the power the boss has. Make him bankrupt for example" replied Leon again.

"Hm, okay. Thanks for your answer, Leon."

"Together the boss."

Leon guesses that the question posed by his boss is a problem from his own boss. Sometimes he feels lucky to have been chosen as his boss' secretary because he feels he is treated as his friend when he is both. However, there are times when Richard becomes very arrogant if what he has ordered the results are not as he wishes. Leon will be the target of Richard's anger.

The elevator is open. They've reached the bottom floor. Both of them walked to the parking lot. Leon sat on the steering wheel, with Richard sitting next to him. They left the company and went to the cafe where the meeting was to take place.

Soon, the two arrived at the cafe. Apparently Rico and his assistant were already there. They were sitting in a corner with a window leading out.

Richard and Leon walked towards them. There was anger in Richard's heart when he saw Rico's radiant face looked like there was no remorse in him. Richard really wants to reveal all the bad behavior of Rico at this time as well. However, that is impossible. He has not devised a plan if Rico evades the evidence he has shown about the accident that hit him, his brother and sister-in-law.

"Come on, let's sit down." Rico invites Leon and Richard to sit down.

Richard and Leon sit opposite Rico and his assistant. They talked about their continued cooperation.

An hour has passed, the discussion is over. They also enjoyed the dishes that Rico had ordered. On the sidelines of the meal, Richard idly asked Rico.

"Rico, may I have a casual conversation with you like I used to?" ask Richard about Rico.

"Of course, man. I'm even happy if we can talk casually. It was like going back to the days when we were in college" Rico replied.

"Where have you been missing for a year? Did you know that my brother and sister-in-law are gone?" asked Richard to try to fish Rico.

"I went out of town and settled there. I take care of all my parents' business that's in there. I'm so sorry for the passing of your brother and sister-in-law. I'm sorry if at that time they couldn't be present at their funeral as well when the opening of your branch office there" Rico replied casually.

Smart he answered it too. I didn't even find a gap in the anxiety inside him.

"Yes it's okay. I impeached. Where do you live now?" ask Richard again.

"I live in an apartment not far from your office. If you want to see me, come to my apartment. 302 that's the room number."

"Well, when it's free I'll stop by there. Then me and Leon say goodbye first. Thank you for this great meal" said Richard, who stood up.

"Yes, be careful on the road."

Richard and Leon left the restaurant. They got in the car. Richard sat down at the wheel. He pulled the tie and loosened it. It felt the anger that he had endured when he met Rico was no longer able to resist.

"Damn! I'd love to teach her face!" annoyed Richard.

Leon who saw his boss whose emotions began to worry. It is likely that he will be an easy target to be used as an outlet for Richard's annoyance.

Don't let me get hit too. God, help me. I still want to live. I'm not married, I'm still single. Let me enjoy this beautiful world. Lift up my boss's annoyance until we get to the office to keep me safe and calm today.

Richard's resentment could have been inflamed and creeped into Leon's job if Leon didn't drive the boss' car straight away. He chose the safe path instead of the one that would trouble him.

On the way, Richard was still upset by making Leon an impingement.

"Leon! You can take a car, can't you? Why so slow!?" angry Richard.

I just told you. This is so much a subordinate.

"Well, I'll increase the boss's speed" Leon replied and then increase the speed of the car he was driving.

"Leon! You want me dead, huh! I haven't had my first night with my wife. Lower the speed of the car!" angry with Richard again.

How the hell is this boss? He asked why did he blame me? It was so wrong so I. God please I want to just disappear from his presence right now.
