Chapter 34: The Comforter Girl

Ravendra kept shouting to call his brother, he was really scared when he saw Rafael's uniform which was originally white now turned red because of a knife that hurt his waist.

"Sister, don't do this! I'm afraid I'm alone here!" Ravendra nodded at Rafael's face.

"Calm down, you have to take care of yourself! you're a big man, I can't take care of you forever." said Rafael holding Ravendra's tearful face.

There were many footsteps approaching them, Karina began to feel anxious and she was also surprised to see Rafael who ended up injured by his actions.

"Why did you get hurt, I wanted to finish him off first!" said Karina walked over to Ravendra who was sitting holding the head of the brother.

Ravendra took off the cloth that bound his head to cover Rafael's wounds which continued to bleed regardless of Karina getting closer to him.

Not yet had Karina touched Ravendra, some men in uniform came to lock Karina's hand. "Sister Karina, you're under arrest for the abduction and mistreatment of minors!" said one of the men.

"No sir! I am innocent!" Karina rebelled trying to release the grip of the two men.

"Wait for me little boy, I'll finish you off!" yell Karina.

Mr. Arif who was behind the uniformed men immediately ran to his two injured children, without looking at Karina. "Jeez Rafael, Ravendra!" mr. Arif swiftly carried the body of Rafael who had been covered in blood towards the ambulance.

While Ravendra who was carried by the assistant of Mr. Arif just fell silent and kept thinking about the threat Karina would kill him, fear began to envelop his mind.

His gaze began to blur as he looked at his hands that were filled with blood.

"Om Erwin don't stay with me yeah, I'm scared!" ravendra then closed his eyes.

Erwin felt pity to see Ravendra who looked so tired of covering up his fear, the child who has always been protected wherever he is now must fight against his fear of facing people who are completely unknown to him and even try to eliminate his life that is still so young.

Erwin carried Ravendra's body on both hands to the ambulance for help in the hospital.

Meanwhile Rafael who had arrived at the hospital first was getting help by the medical team. Mr. Arif seemed restless looking forward to the news about his children.

Ravendra who continued to be accompanied by Ms. Felicia was still unconscious, while Rafael was in a critical condition because he had shed a lot of blood.

Until finally Rafael could not be saved, hearing the news made Felicia's mother cry hysterically, she did not expect to lose her very young son. Not to mention the condition of Ravendra who was still unconscious made Ms. Felicia feel even more devastated.

"I'm sorry, baby!" felicia said she shed her tears in front of Rafael's grave.

After the funeral, Ms. Felicia and Mr. Arif returned to the hospital to see the development of Ravendra's condition.

Sadness does not always happen to the family of Mr. Arif, after the departure of his first child now they get good news if Ravendra is aware.

"Finally our son is awake. Don't show sadness in front of him, we can't tell him that Rafael is dead!" said pa Arif wiped the tears of Felicia's mother.

Slowly, Felicia and Arif opened the door of the room where Ravendra was undergoing treatment. Seen Ravendra who continued to refuse to eat, he only asked where his brother was.

"Your brother's fine, son! We also just visited him." said Mr. Arif.

"Is that right, mam?" ravendra asked in full search looking at Ms. Felicia who was trying to hold back her tears.

"Yes right, baby!" said Mrs Felicia stroking Ravendra's hair.

But Ravendra did not believe it just like that, he knew from the look on their faces if his parents were hiding something from him.

"Tell me, ma! I don't want to be lied to." said Ravendra turned his face away from his parents.

Both of Ravendra's parents fell silent, they were confused as to how to reveal the true circumstances. The more they were silent, the more heightened Ravendra's emotions were.

"Tell me everything!" ravendra shouted tightly grasping the blanket that covered his feet.

Mr. Arif has no other choice, however Ravendra will also find out, he finally revealed the reality that is so painful for Ravendra.

"It's all because of me! I couldn't take care of myself until my brother became the victim. WHY DON'T I JUST DIE!!!" ravendra shouted, throwing his blanket in any direction, then he pulled out the infusion hose attached to his hand.

Seeing his son who was so hysterical, Mr. Arif immediately hugged the small body of Ravendra hoping that he could be a little calmer, he said, but Ravendra continued to scream until finally the doctor injected tranquilizers to Ravendra and made him fall asleep.

"Is he gonna be okay, doc?" tanya Felicia stroked the face of Ravendra who was asleep.

"Yes, he will be fine when he can accept the reality. Let's just pray that he can accept all of this as soon as possible!" said doctor.

One week passed, Ravendra who always rampaged when he woke up from his sleep and must always be given a sedative was now starting to improve, slowly he could smile when he met a five-year-old little girl, he was always, the son of Mr. Arif's best friend who always wanted to visit him.

"Sister, sister is healing fast so we can play together in the park!" said the little girl with her innocent face managed to make Ravendra develop his smile.

"Yes, little boy, you're really carrying!" said Ravendra who was still on the bed of the patient.

They looked familiar, after Ravendra was out of the hospital, the little girl always asked her parents to visit the Ravendra residence and make Ravendra feel comforted.

That made Mr. Arif have an idea to match the two of them and the two girls' parents agreed.

Ravendra was getting closer until he was in junior high school. Until one day the little girl never came again because she had to move to her grandmother's house because the grandmother wanted to be accompanied by her for the rest of her life.

Ravendra looked glum upon learning that the girl would never see him again. At school Ravendra is a quiet child, he can not choose his own friend because usually the brother who always invites him to find friends. But now when his brother was no longer there, his friend no longer approached Ravendra because he kept silent when his friend invited him to play.

Ravendra kept thinking about the little girl who could always make him smile. He was quieter both at school and at home.

"When you get back, Salsa!" ravendra looked at the picture of himself with the little girl.
