Chapter 41: Knowing the Truth

Sinar matahari kini telah berganti dengan terangnya rembulan yang menghiasi langit malam dan di temani oleh ribuan bintang hingga menambah suasana damai di malam itu.

Ravendra sits on the porch of Salsa's childhood home and imagines a cheerful smile from the little girl who is able to make her rise from the grief after the departure of her older brother, Rafael.

It flashed in his mind a curiosity as to what Salsa's face was like now that she had grown up.

"Hmm sorry ma'am, is there a recent photo of Salsa? I want to see it, maybe later when I return to the city I suddenly meet him". Ravendra smiled.

Ms. Asha happily welcomes Ravendra's request because she knows that Ravendra is a good boy even though he is on his first trip.

"Oh yes, there is. Wait a minute, yeah!". Ms. Asha rushed to find a photo she kept neatly.

It didn't take long, Ms. Asha gave him a photo album that kept some of the photos that Salsa had sent her.

"Here it is, Salsa is the nephew closest to me. He always gave me news about himself, he said he was currently managing a cafe". Asha gave a photo album to Ravendra.

Ravendra was a little surprised when he heard the word cafe, his mind immediately turned to Alindya.

"Cafe? Is she...? Ah, it's impossible! It could be another cafe, isn't there a lot of cafes in the city?". Ravendra said in his heart.

Ravendra immediately opened an album given by Ms. Asha. Slowly she opened the pink album cover, looking Salsa with the same smile as her pose from the side.

Then Ravendra re-opened the pages of the next album, hoping that there was another pose that showed Salsa's face clearly. Not to forget he arched a smile while opening every page that still shows his picture with his friends.

However, there is something that is clearly visible in Ravendra's eyes when he sees a photo of Salsa with a female friend.

"Isn't this Lisa?". Ask her in your heart.

Close the picture to his face hoping what he saw was not true, but the more he saw the more similar the woman in the photo to Lisa.

Ravendra further examined the face of Salsa until finally on the last page he found a photo of Salsa who was posing alone with a face that is quite clear in his view.

"Geez, isn't this Alindya?". Ravendra asked in surprise staring at the photo on the last page.

Hearing Ravendra's question made Asha ma'am surprised.

"Yes, the full name of Salsa is Alindya Salsabila. Since childhood he preferred to be called Salsa, but after entering school and his friends called Alindya, he chose to use that name until now!". Clearly Asha's mother made Ravendra speechless.

"That means you've met him?". Asha asked, smiling happily.

Ravendra continued to look at the photo he held, he felt disappointed in himself why he did not know the truth from the first. At this time, he felt that he wanted to immediately return to the city and meet Alindya to tell the new truth.

In Ravendra's heart, he is eager to restore Alindya's memories of their childhood and immediately proposes to Alindya before Arif sets her up with another woman.

"It looks like I have to get back to town, ma'am!". Said Ravendra tidying his clothes and saying goodbye to Asha's mother.

However, as the day grew night, Asha did not allow Ravendra to leave because outside it was very quiet at night in contrast to morning or afternoon, he was afraid that something would happen that Ravendra did not want on the way home.

"More times can I come here again, ma'am?". Ravendra asked Asha who was so friendly to him.

"Oh of course, bring Alindya all here!". Asha said smiling happily.

Ravendra leaves Asha's house looking for public transportation to the city.

It was far enough Ravendra walked, but he had not found any vehicles that passed on the road, the road he passed was really very quiet.

Ravendra was desperate because there was no one on the streets, but a moment later a hope came to him. At the sight of a car from a distance driving towards him, Ravendra took the initiative to stop the car.

Ravendra waved his hand at the black sedan without thinking.

"May I hitchhike to the front?". Ravendra asked when the car stopped and the owner opened the window.

"Come, ride!". Said the driver of the car.

"Thank you!". Ravendra sat next to the driver.

As if the man already knew Ravendra even though his face was covered by a mask and a hat.

Without feeling they have reached the bus terminal, "sorry, I can only take you here because I also have other business!", said the man.

Ravendra was amazed by the area he was in, because all the places were so quiet at night until the bus terminal seemed so quiet.
