Early in the morning the Guard and Nadin had already heard a commotion from outside the room. The couple looked at each other with a confused look. "Let's see, Nad," the Guard said.
Nadin nodded and complied. Garda and Nadin went outside the room still wearing cocoa clothes and also mukena. Arriving outside the room they find Anita and Sela who are fighting in the dining room.
"I want to go back to Holland!" resolutely Sela with a raised voice. The woman with long, blonde hair crossed her hands in front of her chest.
"Mama told me not to give you permission!" reply Anita firmly.
"I don't need permission from my mom! Anyway I want to go back there," Sela said in a loud voice. The woman immediately threw her body onto the sofa with both hands still crossed in front of her chest.
Anita sighed softly. The middle-aged woman patiently sat next to her daughter. While Nadin and the Guard were still watching them from a distance.
"What else are you looking for there, Dek? You're not afraid this will happen again?" anita asked still trying to be gentle. The mother of two was well-versed enough to speak quietly with the notoriously stubborn Sela.
Sela glanced at Anita lazily. "I'm definitely going to go to college, ma!" ketus answer. "You don't have to think about what has passed. I'll be more careful" the woman explained. Of course the word caution that Sela spoke had another meaning. Not just ordinary caution.
Anita nodded firmly. He gently rubbed the princess's hand. "You can continue your studies here. If no one in Holland can keep an eye on you, Dek. Mama knows your association is too free there," said Anita at length.
Sela's breath was getting louder. The woman also brushed off Anita's hand violently. "Don't you believe me?!"
"Where do you want to believe that you have a big stomach back and forth," replied Anita still trying to be patient and calm. "You don't argue anymore. Just obey Mom and go to college here."
"No way!" sentak Sela's. "What would my friends say if I moved here, Ma!?" sela asked with mounting emotions.
Clearly, Sela thought about what her friends would say later. He used to be proud of himself who managed to study in the Netherlands. Even the woman had underestimated her friends who only studied in Indonesia. Wouldn't be a lot of negative words that will be Sela later.
"What if I only went to college here? The university here is also good, really, Deck. Let brother find you."
"No, Ma!" jolt them firmly. "I want to go back to Holland!" he shouted in a loud voice.
Because of the loudness of Sela's voice, Anita was surprised. The middle-aged woman rubbed her chest. He looked at his favorite daughter with his own eyes.
Seeing the increasingly outrageous treatment of Sela, of course, made the Guard furious. The man pulled Nadin's hand towards the television room.
"Let's just if he wants to go back there, Ma" the Guard said calmly.
Hearing Garda's words made Sela smile happily. Much different from Anita's expression that looks unacceptable.
"When are you leaving?" ask the Guard to his sister.
"Seriously can't I go back to Holland again?" ask Sela excitedly. The guard nodded firmly. Of course, Sela's cheerful smile grew even more. "I want to leave on Monday!" sela.
"Can't! My mom is not allowed!" said Anita. The woman looked at the Guard with an unaccepted look. "How do you permit your sister, anyway, brother? You're not afraid of this happening again?"
"Let's go, Ma. Sela is big. He can definitely take care of himself," replied the Guard lightly.
"Tuh, Ma, with Brother Guard! I can take care of myself" Sela said proudly. Feeling happy also because of being defended by his older brother.
The guard nodded confirming Sela's words. "Because you can already take care of yourself me and Mama won't interfere, yes."
"Huh!? Mean Brother?"
"Tamples yourself. Including your departure fees, tuition fees, and living expenses. Me and Mama will not give you a dime" the Guard explained plainly.
"Can't do it!" sela shouted with emotions that began to gather again.
"That's not it, brother!"
"Lecture here only, or study in the Netherlands but me and Mama will not want to bear your costs. Please choose Mr. Princess," said the Guard, stressing each word.
Sela clucked violently with both feet in her arms. It's always like that if his wish isn't fulfilled. Now the Guard will try to be firm with his sister. Where in the past when Dimas was still alive the man always spoiled Sela as his favorite daughter.
Garda took off his hand from Nadin. The man approached Anita and grabbed her shoulder. "Mama just go into the room. Later Nadin and Garda take Gama to Mama's room."
...
"If the Guard had a child it would look a lot like him" Anita said as she continued to look at Gama's face. The baby was in Nadin's lap while being fed milk. Earlier when trying to be diverted to Anita's sling, Gama even strip very tight.
Nadin smiled faintly at the words of his mother-in-law. "Definitely will be beautiful and handsome, yes, Ma," replied Nadin trying to respond to Anita's words with enthusiasm.
"Yes, right? Mama became curious about her son Garda later," said Anita again with a tone that began to sound unusual.
Nadin who began to be able to catch the direction of his mother-in-law's conversation again smiled faintly. This time I chose not to make a sound.
"You're curious about not the same face of the Guard's son later?" ask Anita. The term used as if the Guard's child was not Nadin's only child.
"Yes, Ma" replied Nadin briefly.
"Eat him, Nad," Anita said with a pause. It was in this pause that Nadin began to take a deep breath to prepare his heart. "When are you pregnant? You're really not barren?" ask Anita streak.
"No, Ma. Nadin is healthy there is no problem whatsoever," replied Nadin trying to calm down. "Mama'll let Nadin see the results."
"But why not get pregnant, anyway?" asked Anita in a shitty tone. "Have you not been watching your meal all this time? So your fertility is disturbed?"
"I'm the same Mas Dana has been very maintaining the diet, Ma," replied Nadin patiently.
"Times?" ask Anita to challenge. "If the Mama Guard believes because Mama's child is very guarding the food from the past," Anita explained while looking at Nadin at a glance.
Again Nadin was quite made to sigh. Her heart was already uncomfortable with the topic that Anita kept talking about.
"Have you tried to see a doctor?" ask Anita again. Not yet willing to end the incessant action asking for grandchildren.
"It's been a few times, Ma," replied Nadin briefly.
"Doctor what?" ask Anita.
"Eye doctor," replied Nadin flatly. Anita immediately glanced at the cynical Nadin. Afterwards it was answered with a slight ruckus by his son-in-law. "Yes obstetrician, lah, Ma. Mama has-there's a question."
"Oh!" gripped Anita with a stale face. "But how long, yes," he said again who was still not satisfied.
"Patience, Ma. Everyone has their own time."
"That means you have a long time?" ask Anita. Nadin was silent at the question.
"If not the same you must have Garda already had children," he said again.
"Ma?" call Nadin who is surprised by Anita's words.
"Who knows that with other women the time will be faster" Anita added very casually.
