My Hate, the Water of His Eyes (The End of A Taste)

My Hate, the Water of His Eyes (The End of A Taste)
Thanks though. I Go.

Syera's eyes immediately saw the black pantofel shoes worn by the person standing in front of her. He looked up and as he expected, Leo was the one standing there.

Sigap Syera wiped her tears from being seen by Leo and regulated her breathing. Slowly he lifted up his body, with all the strength he had Syera standing right before Leo.

"The motor," said Syera hanging.

"Destroyed!"

So easy Leo said the state of the motor behind it.

Leo put his left hand in the pocket of his cloth pants. While chewing gum in his mouth, Leo pointed to something not far behind Syera.

The Eye of Sera follows Leo's index finger. In Sana, about a hundred meters from their position stood parked a bulldozer.

Without needing to explain Syera understood what Leo meant. Fandy's motor was destroyed by being run over by that heavy object.

"What's not mine shouldn't be here. That's more than enough as a warning, isn't it?"

"But it's not my bike" Syera's voice weakened. "That's what Fandy borrowed."

"Ck. He's again." Leo threw gum in his mouth and almost hit Shera's hair. "What clothes did you wear with him, or did your purse come from him?"

Syera raised her head up so that her tears would not fall.

"It seems his current position is still less low to understand what he should be doing."

Leo reached into his pants pocket and took out his gawai. He contacted his secretary, Bima.

"Didn't the front office part of the company need one man?" ask Leo to make sure.

"Yes, sir" Bima replied from across the phone.

His conversation with Bima was deliberately made by Leo with speaker mode to be heard by Syera.

"Tell the HRD department if I've got the right person for the position."

"Good, sir. If I may know, who is he, sir?"

"Not far away, he's also an employee at our company. Someone from the sales marketing department."

"Enough!" The horror raised his voice a little. No need to be extended anymore Syera knows who the man Leo is referring to. Syera takes the phone from Leo's hand and disconnects the phone and returns it to Leo's palm.

"Stop hurting the people around me. If you are angry, angry at me, do not take my anger out on others. They have nothing to do with what happened a few years ago. So please stop," plead Syera.

"It's good if you realize it."

"Don't do anything else to Fandy's brother. Please return the position as before."

"There's no profit or loss in me doing that" Leo said with a smile.

"I'm leaving. Thank you to the Suntama family who have been willing to support me all this time. Thank you, sir."

"It's not the first time you've said something like this."

Syera ventured to raise her head and looked closely into Leo's eyes. The two pairs of neutrals they met, long enough they stared at each other.

"Thank you. I'm going."

Syera turned around, so quickly her steps crossed the road before long she climbed an angkot and took her away from there.

..........

One by one Syera put her clothes in a small suitcase. Although I do not know where to go and live, Syera has decided to leave the house.

It was enough for him to be there and it was time for him to leave. Syera just put her clothes and some small things she needed, the rest she put in cardboard and put it in the warehouse behind the house.

He cleaned the room, swept and mopped it. Only mattresses, pillows and blankets were left and he folded and stacked them neatly.

When he finished, he pulled his suitcase and locked the door. He walked upstairs and knocked on one of the doors.

Geck... Geck... Geck...

Syera knocked on Mila's bedroom door for the first time during her stay there.

"Auntie... Syera can meet and talk for a second?" pinta Shera's.

Geck... Geck... Geck...

Syera's tears could not be contained anymore, she cried sticking her palm on the door leaf.

"Auntie... Sorry for what happened. Sorry if it has been difficult for the Suntama family during their stay here," isak Syera. "Thank you Syera's permission to stay here. Thanks for everything. Syera is affectionate with aunt Mila," he said increasingly sobbing.

"Syera's gone. Fucking syera, aunt."

Syera went down, as she passed through the living room she saw a family photo of a size large enough to stick to the wall.

He smiled looking at the photo. A couple and two boys smiled in the photo.

"Sorry," said Syera.

He walked back to where his suitcase was. He wears a backpack on his back and pulls the suitcase towards the security guard post where Asep and Retno's aunt are chatting.

"Syera said yes, bi. Mr. Asep, Syera said yes," Syera said smiling at them.

"Are you sure you want to go, son?" ask aunt Retno.

Sheera nodded her head.

"Have you done with Mila's mother?"

"Already, bi."

Aunt Retno hugged Shera. The woman loved Syera very much and considered her like her own daughter. All the needs of Syera during her stay there, she was the one who helped to take care of her and her husband Mr. Asep always faithfully drove her to school when she was Junior High.

What can be made and said, they are just servants there. They have no right and power to hold someone in that house.

The couple waved their hands at Syera as the taxi driver took her away from there.

..........

In her room Mama Mila stood watching a girl go carrying a backpack and suitcase. From the window of his room he saw Syera leaving his house.

Unknowingly she shed tears. He hastily removed it and sat down on the side of the bed.

When Syera knocked on the door of the room and spoke to him in tears she heard him. To be honest he wanted to open the door and meet Syera but somehow his legs felt so heavy to step on. His heart and mind were still unable to harmonize.

Mama Mila grabbed the phone on her dresser and called someone.

"Hello, ma?" greet Leo from across the phone.

"Did you throw him out?" ask Mama Mila directly.

"I mean mama?"

"He's gone."

Leo who was busy with important documents in his hand understood the purpose of his mother's speech.

"Oh, he's gone. Good, it should be, ma. If it wasn't for him"

"Yes already. Mama turn off the phone yeah, mama's gonna take a break," cut out Leo's line.

"Okay if so, ma. Later Leo will go home for a while."

Mama Mila disconnected her call. She looked at a picture of her husband on a small table beside the bed. He took the picture and hugged her while crying.

Don't be mad at Leo. Had it not been for the events of that day, Leo my son would not have been the bad guy he is today.

A photo of her late husband, Bayu Suntama. Dissolved into sadness and happy memories until tired and make him fall asleep.

..........

It was getting late in the afternoon but Fandy's work was still not finished while the hours of his office had passed ten minutes. His mind could not focus since Retno's aunt told him about Syera leaving the house.

Fandy had asked for permission to go home earlier but his request was denied while two other employees who came with him to ask for permission were allowed.

While continuing to fold the company's beauty product brochure, Fandy glanced back and forth at the clock in his hand. In fact, he was increasingly worried because Syera's phone all day was not active.

"Is he still in this office?" leo asked, leaving his room.

"As you requested. Mr. Fandy is still busy folding brochures with his colleagues," replied Bima.

"Good."
