With a quick step Sean stepped foot into the hospital, his mind was completely muddled thinking about the fate of the younger brother.
Sean stopped his steps when he saw Mother Yasmin sitting in front of one of the rooms. Bad thoughts instantly crossed his mind when he saw his mother crying.
"Mother ....." Call her. The woman turned her head, Sean stepped his feet closer to Mother Yasmin. Her cries grew as Sean hugged her.
"Mother calm down...." Said Sean while rubbing the back of Mother Yasmin.
"Iwana... Ivan's..." Isak Mother Yasmin in the arms of her first son.
"Mother calm down first..." Sean tried to calm Mother Yasmin.
The door of the room opened, and a doctor came out with the nurse. Mother Yasmin and Sean immediately approached her.
"Doctor how's my son doing...?" Ask Mommy, her fear increases when she sees the look on the doctor's face. Sean, who was next to him, felt the same way. The doctor took a deep breath, before finally opening his voice.
"The state of the patient when he got here was critical, the patient had serious head injuries and lost a lot of blood. We've tried to do our best, but sorry fate willed another. The lives of patients we can't save."
At once the world seemed to collapse for Mother Yasmin and Sean.
"No way... Ivan could not have died...." Lirih. Sean immediately hugged her, his tears rushing.
"Mother..."
"Seans... Ivan's...." Mother Yasmin's voice sank in her tears. Sean hugged her even more.

Sean was unceasingly guilty, for he had to leave for all eternity. He shouldn't have let Ivan pick him up. Yes, that day he decided to return to his country, Indonesia after Ivan asked him to return home. Ivan has just graduated High School, and he asks Sean to come back for a graduation. Sean, who loved Ivan very much, was not able to refuse. Sean who was in college continued his S1 in Melbourne was willing to ask permission from the campus to meet his sister.
Sean sat pensively in Ivan's room, staring at his picture with Ivan that was taken several years ago.
"Iwana... Sorry Brother..." In her arms the photo with tears flowing back.

Now it had been three days of the fateful incident that befell Ivan, but the aura of sadness was still very much felt. Moreover, Mother Yasmin who always pensive themselves, making Sean feel more guilty.
"Mother, sorry Sean..." The man sat down under the Mother's feet.
"It's not your fault, son..." Lirih Mother Yasmin.
"But because of Sean..."
"South..." Mother Yasmin shook her head slowly, making Sean not continue his words.
"Where do you want breakfast? At the table or in the room?" Sean tried to divert the conversation.
"Mother breakfast at the table, son..." Replied the Mother while rising from her seat.
"Well, let's have breakfast." Bring soft. They then enjoy breakfast together, but Mother's mind drifts away. He was just reminded of Syifa, the girl who was the victim of Ivan's accident.
Yes, Ivan had an accident after losing control because the brakes of his car suddenly blong, and then hit the motorbike driven by Syifa and her father. Syifa's father died on the spot, and Syifa was rushed to the hospital. The state of Syifa at that time was critical, Mother even had to be asked for approval so that the hospital could perform surgery on Syifa.
"Mother..." Call again.
"Eh... Da... " Mother woke up from her daydream.
"What did Mother think?'' Ask.
"Mother..." Mother had not yet answered, suddenly her phone rang.
"Hello, I'm on my own..." The answer. Mother kept calling 'em, the look on her face changed instantly.
"really? Thank goodness I will be there soon. Fine, thank you."
''What's up, Mother?" Sean asked who had noticed his mother talking on the phone.
"Who's Syifa, Bun?'' Sean asked again who did not know about Syifa.
"Shyifa..." Mother's speech interrupted.
"Mother...." Sean looked at his mother, Mother Yasmin's face looked sad.
"Syifa was the victim of Ivan's accident. The motorbike that Syifa's father was driving was hit by Ivan at the time of the accident, due to Ivan's car brakes that suddenly blong..." Obviously Mother Yasmin was crying, given how Syifa was at the time of the accident. His condition was as severe as Ivan's, but Syifa was still able to survive.
"Yes God... Then how are Syifa and her father doing now?'' Ask Sean.
"Syifa's father died at the scene...." Lirih Mother Yasmin.
"And Syifa was critical, even comatose. And just got word from the hospital that Syifa's conscious." Continue Mother Yasmin.
"Inalillahi... " That's the only word that can come out of Sean's mouth.
"We're going to the hospital after breakfast."
"Yes Mother."

Sean and his mother arrive in front of the room where Syifa is being treated to coincide with the doctor who just came out of there. Mother had already told about the true state of Syifa to Sean. And that made Sean concerned for the young girl.
"Doctor, how's Syifa doing?" Ask Mother Yasmin.
"The state of Syifa is stable. Syifa also knew about her true condition."
"Syifa knows, doc? How then? Is Syifa okay?" Mother Yasmin looked worried.
"Mrs take it easy, Syifa is a strong girl. He was fine, it seemed like Syifa could accept his present state." Obviously the doctor with his smile tried to calm Mother Yasmin.
"Thank God then." Mother Yasmin breathed a sigh of relief.
"Can we go inside?" Ask again.
"Of course, please. Excuse me first." The doctor resigned.

Sean was silent at the door when he saw a young girl in hijab with bandages in her eyes.
"Assalamualaik." Greetings Mother Yasmin.
"Getishalam." The girl answered, none other than Syifa.
"Include me Yasmin, I am the mother of Ivan who has been..." Mother Yasmin's words were interrupted not wanting to make the girl in front of her sad.
"Oh Mrs Yasmin..." Syifa smiled gently.
"Don't call Madam, just call Auntie." Pinta Mommy Yasmin.
"Yes Aunt...." Syifa smiled softly again. Mother Yasmin held her hand.
"Syifa, Auntie would like to apologize for what happened to you and your father. Sorry...." Mother Yasmin could not hold back her tears. Syifa shook her head slowly, though she could not see Syifa could feel the deep regret and sadness of the middle-aged woman.
"No aunt, everything is fate..." Syifa.
"I'm sorry, too, for Ivan..." Syifa continued but stopped because Mother Yasmin tightened her hand.
"We both lost Auntie, I can feel what Auntie feels. So Auntie doesn't have to feel guilty. And besides this is the fate of the Almighty, we as his servants can do nothing but accept it with sincerity...." Syifa said with a gentle smile that had already decorated her face.
"Syifa, do you know about your situation?" Syifa nodded softly at Mother Yasmin's question.
