"Please treat Mba Diana well, so that I don't feel like all this is in vain... And please help me sincerely accept all this..." Isak Syifa who is getting drowned in Sean's arms.
"I promise you, I'll treat Diana the way I treat you..."
The three are now gathered at the dinner table for breakfast. Seemed awkward between them.
"Sean, I'll get you some breakfast..." Diana offered herself.
"Yes, please." Sean replied with a faint smile.
"Syifa, I'll get you breakfast too." Diana said after she finished giving breakfast to Sean. Diana was about to reach for Syifa's plate, but Syifa prevented it.
"No need Mba, thank you. I'll just take it myself." Reject Syifa.
"Oh, okay."
"After this I want to talk to you both." Sean said with a serious face to make his two wives look at him. Then the two looked at each other.
**********
"What do you want to talk about?" Syifa opened her voice, she sat down beside Diana. Sean was sitting on the sofa between the two of them.
"I'd like to ask you before. Diana, what did you put in my drink last night?" Sean looked at Diana, making the woman lower her face. He figured that Sean must have known what he did last night.
"Stimulating drug." He replied quietly, Syifa was astonished to hear it. While Sean only let out a heavy sigh.
"Why did you do that?" Ask Sean patiently.
"Because... Because I want you to touch me. I want you to treat me like a wife. Last night, I overheard you two arguing, and it turns out you haven't been able to accept my existence as your wife. And so, I'm determined to do that. I never intended to take you from Syifa. I know you love Syifa very much, but I'm also your wife now. I just want you to treat me the same as Syifa. Even if you can never love me... " It was clear Diana with a trembling voice held back the cries.
Syifa rubbed Diana's back slowly, trying to give the woman some calmness.
"Diana, I'm sorry for what I said last night. I promise I'll treat you just as well as Syifa." Diana lifted her face, looking at her husband.
"Aren't you angry?" Ask.
"All my fault for never thinking about your feelings, I have no right to be angry."
"Syifa, I want you to help Diana." Sean turned to look at Syifa.
"What help, Mom?" Ask Syifa.
"Diana is my responsibility, in the world and in the hereafter. Please help Diana improve herself and also her appearance."
Syifa seemed to think for a moment, then nodded. He understood what Sean meant.
"Of course, Mas. I'll help Diana." Answer Syifa.
"All right, and Diana's for you." Sean gave Diana a card.
"Use it to buy all your needs. Syifa also has the same card."
"Thank you, Sean." Diana said as she received the card.
**********
Sean chose to continue the pending work, although it was still on leave. Both of his wives were in Diana's room.
"Syifa, forgive me for what I did last night. Really, I don't have the slightest intention of taking Sean away from you. I was just 'forcing' Sean to touch me."
"There's no need to apologize, Mba..." Syifa smiled soothingly.
"Syifa, what did Sean mean? Ask for your help for what?"
"Ep.. Sorry in advance, Mba don't take it personally..."
"Mas Sean wants Mba Diana to change her appearance. It means being more closed. Mba Diana is now his wife Mas Sean, if there is another man who saw the letter of Mba Diana it will be a sin for Mas Sean." Obviously Syifa, Diana frowned.
"I mean, I wear a hijab like you?" Diana asked, Syifa nodded.
"Yes Mba, wearing a hijab is actually an obligation for a Muslimah."
"You know Syifa, actually I wanted to learn how to wear the hijab after I got to know Sean. But in Melbourne there's no one I can ask for help. I tried to learn from some of the videos, but I was confused myself." Diana's Story.
"I'll help Mba Diana, do you have a dress and hijab?"
"Looks like there's. I bought it a few years ago." Diana moved from her seat to the closet.
"Ah, here it is." Diana pulled out a set of gamis complete with her veil.
"Can you help me?"
"Of course, Mba."
Syifa wore the clothes to Diana, and also taught Diana how to wear the hijab while being accompanied by small talk and laughter.
"Well, Diana was beautiful..." Praise Syifa sincerely.
"really?" Diana stared at her reflection in a mirror that looked different.
"of course. Sean would be fascinated to see it." Unexpectedly, Diana's smile dimmed at Syifa's words just now.
"Whatever beauty I am, Sean won't be enchanted..."
"Mh... Why so pessimistic? Let's go see Sean and ask him what he thinks."
"But Syifa," Syifa had already pulled Diana's hand before she could speak.
Sean shut down his laptop, the job was done. Massaging his forehead that feels dizzy from too long staring at the screen.
Geck. Geck. Geck.
"Lake in." Said Sean.
"Yes..." Call Syifa. Sean looked.
"What's Syifa?"
"No. Diana come here." Syifa called out to Diana who was still standing outside Sean's study. Diana stepped in, with her head lowered.
"How Mas? Diana was beautiful, right?" Ask Syifa. Diana raised her face looking at Sean, tucked a knotty smile there. Sean got up from his seat, stepped closer to the two women. Standing right between the two. Staring at Diana from head to toe.
"Beautiful, if you can keep it like this." His word.
"Am I really pretty?" Ask Diana.
"certain. My wives are beautiful." Sean made his two wives smile.

As the day progresses, Sean, Syifa, and Diana get closer. Sean really did as fair as he could on them.
Syifa and Diana were getting closer, they were already like brother and sister. Not infrequently there are people who sneer at Diana because they think of her as a third person. And sometimes there are also those who say that Syifa is too stupid to let her husband marry again.
But they never fucked him. Let people say anything, those who live, those who feel and no one is harmed by them.
"Do Diana know? I really want to feel what it's like to be a mother..." Syifa said, the two of them were sitting relaxing in their backyard.
"I want to feel what it's like to give birth to a child... But that can't be happening... After Yasmin died, I used to cry alone. I felt lonely when Mas Sean went to work, and if I had a child I might not be lonely. I've been thinking about adopting an orphanage, but I haven't told Mas Sean." Diana smiled gently, clasping Syifa's fingers.
