Chapter 77 Old wounds

Arga continued to run after the man until he exited the restaurant. Alvin followed him in the back.

Kasih is going to the bathroom to clean herself and change clothes so Ratna meets Jody first because it feels bad to bother her.

"Jody, thank you for bothering to take my friend" Ratna said.

"It's okay, Ratna. Looks like your friend is in need of help, too. Oh yes, you guys seem to be very familiar. I see you seem familiar with this place." said Jody.

"Eh.. Ja.. I mean, I've been here a few times" Ratna said slightly stuttering.

Jody nodded and then watched every corner of the apartment's living room. He finds a photograph of Love and a man embracing it.

"Is this her boyfriend?" jody asked as he looked at the photo.

"Oh, that's her brother. She lives with her sister in this apartment." replied Ratna.

Somehow Ratna became confused with Jody's questions related to Alvin. Finally he asked permission to see Love inside. Jody allowed it.

Looks Kasih who is sitting pensively on the edge of the bed while staring at the window of his room. It seemed like he was still shocked and saddened by the recent events that had happened to him.

Love receives the cup but does not drink it immediately.

"Has brother and Mas Arga not here yet?" tanya Kasih lirih's.

"Yet, maybe they're still taking care of something. I'll be here until they get back" Ratna said.

Love is just silence and bowed. Her frail body and haggard-looking shoulders showed how weak the girl was. But he has had many trials in his life. Suddenly tears flowed down the cheeks of Love. He remembered his past and made his heart sad again.

Ratna rubbed Kasih's shoulder, trying to give her some calm.

"Love, don't be sad anymore. Mr. Arga and Alvin will always take care of you" Ratna said slowly.

"I remember my past, my previous life was very dark. I'm so scared to meet people who've hurt me."

Ratna was about to answer Love but suddenly she heard the sound of footsteps coming towards her place.

"Love.. Love.." the voice sounded panicked and Ratna knew who was coming so well that she immediately departed from the place of Love.

Alvin seemed silent for a moment. Then he looked at Ratna meaningfully.

"Thanks to Ratna, you are absolutely right. Now I'll always take care of love." Alvin rubbed Ratna's cheek gently.

While Ratna can only comment on a smile when she sees a calmer Alvin.
