Mystery of Bu RT
The arrival of the Dutch to Jayakarta

Golden sunlight radiates through the lush trees on the edge of the forest in Kampung Lapaman. In their last journey to the past, the young people have decided to explore further afield, to a time when the Dutch first came to Jayakarta in the late 16th century. They stood by the never-closed window, looking at him carefully.

"We're ready, right?" asked Rizal, one of the excited youngsters.

Everyone agreed, and carefully they stepped into the window. As they cross the threshold, the world changes around them. They arrived at a very different time, with a completely different view.

They were on the banks of a wide river, with large sailboats approaching on the horizon. The magnificent Dutch buildings stand near the beach, and the indigenous people are busy on the move.

The moods of young people went from astonishment to shock when they realized that they had actually traveled to the distant past. They stand on a white sandy beach, where Dutch boats arrive.

"We have to hide" whispered Lia, one of the girls in the group. They hid among the bushes near the beach while trying to make sense of the situation.

Meanwhile, by the river, a robed and feisty Dutch figure sat on a wooden rocking chair while observing the activities around him. He looked solemn, holding a piece of map with trembling hands. He was Cornelis de Houtman, the famous Dutch explorer, and he was leading an important expedition into unknown territory.

"We must not allow them to rule this territory" whispered Anton, the group's leader. "But we also cannot cause greater conflict."

They argue for a moment, trying to find the best solution. Meanwhile, they noticed Cornelis de Houtman's increasingly hasty actions. Suddenly, he jumped from his rocking chair and shouted to his men.

"Prepare boat! We're approaching the beach!"

The boys knew they had to act fast. They came out of the bushes and thought of a way to disrupt Cornelis de Houtman's plan without causing major conflict.

As they made their way to the Dutch boats bound for the beach, they pondered their plans. Suddenly, a brilliant idea came to Lia's mind. He whispered to his friends, and they smiled in agreement.

As Cornelis de Houtman and his men boarded the boats, they saw an indigenous young man walking towards the shore with a big stick in hand. The young man looked very serious and wandered around the Dutch boats.

Cornelis de Houtman approached the young man, an exchange of words ensued.

Cornelis de Houtman was shocked. He did not understand the native language, but the expression and movements of the young man were quite clear. There was confusion among his men.

The youngsters watching from a distance smiled in satisfaction. They have succeeded in disrupting the plans of Cornelis de Houtman without causing any direct conflict. Cornelis de Houtman and his men decided to leave the coast, leaving the region.

After they leave, the young ones return to the window and return to the present, bringing their adventure story with them. They have changed history in a peaceful and intelligent way.

As night fell, bonfires raged under the sky of stars. Villagers gather to enjoy traditional food, songs, and dances. They celebrate the peace, unity and understanding they find on this journey.
