CHAPTER 27 Applying to You

Angel looked up at her father who was still playing chess with Rey and ignored her as if he was not here. While Jihan is cooking to be brought to sanity, she did not have time to cook in the stall especially when Rey is here.

"Well, Rey won once. And then keep losing!"

"You don't give up, you can definitely give up"

The two instantly reassembled the chess pieces. Angel looked at the wall clock and it was nine o'clock.

"Well, I'm not dating an orchid?"

Erik immediately looked at the clock and it was time he sought sustenance on the road.

"It's just that, playing chess makes you forget about time"

"Well, what's the end time?" said Rey who wants to continue playing especially Rey is eager to win this game.

"Don't you have to go?" erik said as he glanced at his daughter as if reminding Rey of something.

"Oh yeah, almost forgot"

Rey got up and walked over to Angel. Angel felt something had happened.

"Follow me"

"Where?"

"Udah come along"

Rey forces Angel to come with her but it seems Angel refuses Rey's invitation because she has an appointment with Jihan to help her.

"You'll come with Rey" said Jihan, who finished cooking.

"But ma'am?"

"There's Arbi helping, it's gone"

"Yes, yes" upset Angel who feels both her parents kicked her out.

Rey smiled happily Angel wanted to come with her while Angel looked at her disheveled face.

In the car Angel continued to ask where she would be invited to go making Rey snort annoyed.

"Can you shut up, no? noisy tofu ngga"

Rey's words made Angel's chin wrinkle. Rey chuckles slowly for sure his life will be more colorful when the beautiful next to him has become his wife.

"Nyebelin" upset Angel who immediately turned her face.

"Later you know too, be patient"

"Hemm"

Rey glanced at Angel who was enjoying the view outside even Angel opened the car window. Angel's smile expands perfectly, Angel never goes through this road that's what makes Angel keep asking.

"My wife is so sweet" Rey said slowly but Angel could hear her.

Angel looked straight at Rey.

"What did you say?"

"I? not really"

"Is it just my feeling, huh?"

"Maybe?"

Rey sniffed her shoulders Angel also did not bother herself to look out.

Rey has asked for the blessing of Angel's parents and the help of her mother.

Guest room

Rey looked at the ceiling. He felt unsettled because Rey felt that Angel was hiding something from her, especially the nature of Angel who did not want to be a burden for others.

Rey breathed her heavy breath. He was here for only one week, but Rey wanted to stay here for a long time to look after Angel.

Rey grabbed her phone not far from her. Rey scrunched her forehead as she looked at the screen of her phone. Her mother called with a video call.

"There's a mother-mom"

Rey answered the video call. Rey tried to smile even though she was upset.

"What's the matter ma?"

"What else is it! you said not yet?"

Rey stared at her mother flatly when a few hours ago had asked her.

"Ma it's night, Rey wants to sleep"

"H here's the child, at home maksa want to go but now postponed-delay continues"

"Yes, I've been patient, Rey's anyways here for a week"

"Sunday?"

"Yes. Kan Rey has told me that Rey wants to be in Jakarta for up to a week"

"Who said? you should be back in Bali tomorrow!"

"What's? Ma don't joke"

Rey looks very upset when he wants to continue with Angel especially his parents have agreed to his request for a week of vacation but now only one night has been told to go home.

"Mama didn't joke your own papa said he said you have to practice.yeah you know yourself what mama means"

"Well, do you want me to run papa's business, right?"

Rey feels her father is unfair when her brother is allowed to choose the job he wants without the intervention of Mama and Papa.

"Yes, do you want your mom to talk?"

Rey does not want if her mother who conveys directly to Angel, of course, Angel will feel burdened.

"Not to Angel but to his parents"

"Oh, yeah, but mama don't say anything weird"

Rey wrinkled her chin this week sometimes often ignorant and maybe this ignorant nature is passed down from her mother.

Rey exited the room while still talking to her mother and it just so happened that Jihan had not slept, she was peeling potatoes while watching TV.

Rey hands her phone to Jihan. Jihan Napak is happy, she actually doubts that the Rey family still remembers her family especially they have moved back.

Jihan feels something is important especially when Rey hands her phone to Jihan Rey's trembling hands.

"What's wrong? I'm wondering if there's anything to do with this kid of yours who doesn't seem very calm"

Jihan looked at Rey making Rey scratch the nape of her neck that did not itch.

"Yes, jeng is really. My son came to Jakarta to propose to Jeng's son, Angel"

"Applying?"

Jihan was surprised by this especially this very suddenly when Angel and Rey must have long not exchanged news. Jihan can confirm it because not long after Rey KeBali, Angel's phone is gone.

Jihan looked at Rey who was looking down. The curves of Jihan's smile were engraved perfectly. Jihan herself knows Rey as well as Rey's parents who already know Angel. Both of Angel's parents already consider Rey like his son as well as Rey's parents who consider Angel like his son.

"Jeng, I know they're both friends and they're like sisters but is it wrong for us to get them together?"

"It's not wrong, but do they both want to?"

"Rey wants Tan"

Suddenly Rey replied with a tone as beautiful as making Jihan and Mama Rey chuckle while Rey now pursed her chin.

"Rey you're just shy mama" scolding people across the street that Rey must have been pinching.

"Kan was asked, Rey answered" said Rey who was really embarrassed.

"If I was up to them but Jeng knew they were young and they certainly wanted to enjoy their youth, they would know what was after"

"Where the hell then? Jeng I want us to be made by our families already know each other?"

"Yes ta-"

"In no hurry, two or three years they just got married" suddenly his father Rey came and cut off Jihan's words.

Jihan was relieved because she still wanted to be with her favorite daughter especially Angel child who is very spoiled for sure Jihan will be very lost even though she knew her daughter would be very happy.

"Well, is that what you are?" rey's protest was unacceptable. Rey is eager to step up with Angel.

"Are you able to work? you prepare everything first and practice being an adult, papa does not want later after you get married even troublesome Angel!"

Rey scrunched her chin as Erik approached the two of them.

"Why are you pouting Rey?" ask Erik. Jihan pointed the phone screen at Erik. Erik was surprised to see his old friend.

"Erik I want to talk to you, just the two of us"

Erik took Rey's cell phone out of the house. Erik himself was confused as to what he wanted to talk about.

"What do you want to talk about?"

"Rey's coming to your house to propose to your daughter. I know it's rude of me not to say it directly to you guys but this is Rey's request. Rey wants to say it directly to Angel, she does not want Angel to feel burdened if immediately formal. You don't mind?"

Erik seemed surprised, it was not willing to let his little daughter be wooed this fast. Erik felt that only yesterday he taught Angel to walk but he had to accept the fact that his little daughter was now an adult.

"I'm up to Angel"

"If Angel accepts this proposal you are calm that the wedding is not direct. I want to prepare Rey to be the man in charge so Rey can look after Angel and before that I won't marry Rey to your daughter"

"I just feel worried"

"I know especially Angel your only child especially her favorite must be hard to take it off"

Erik confirmed the word. Angel means a lot to him because Erik wants the best for Angel. A young man who can look after, protect and always love him with all his heart and does not mind his social status.

"Yes you're right, hopefully Angel will so I don't have to worry. I believe Rey can take care of Angel"

"Thank you, I'm the same. I want my son to be happy with his chosen girl and Angel is perfect to be my daughter-in-law"

15 Minutes passed. Erik went back into the house. Erik stared at Rey flatly and made Rey bow. That's why filing Rey says that her father Angel is rejecting the proposal submitted by her parents.

"Are you sure you want to marry El?"

Rey looked up at Erik. At times like this Rey should show her courage as much as possible so that Erik believes in her.

Rey glanced at Angel who was tinkering at her phone. Rey's phone is in Angel's hands.

"Ih pinjem, stingy banger anyway!" pissed Angel. He folded his hands and both of his cheeks were swollen.

"Why did you unlock my phone?"

"From the time your phone password didn't change, was that how bad I was until my birthday date?"

"Crazy PD, it's not your birthday"

"Ta-"

"We're here, let's go down!" cut Rey. Angel could only snort in annoyance.

Amanda/Riko House

Leona was crawling after Niko from behind. Niko steps slowly so that her little daughter can follow her. Arfan slowly approached Leona then.

Leona immediately cried as Arfan raised his tiny body. Arfan did not care about Leona's cry even Arfan was kissing Leona's cheek with anxiety. Sasa who heard the sound of Leona's cry immediately approached. Niko herself had run away scared of Sasa's nagging.

"You are, dear to your mother"

Sasa immediately took Leona from Arfan. Leona was immediately silent while she was in Sasa's presence.

"Fan, get married let you have a kid and don't bother Leona anymore"

"If I want to" said Arfan briefly and then again mocked Leona who was supported by Sasa. An irritated Leona tries to hit Arfan with her tiny hand.

"And when did Arfan not want to get married?" sasa said as Amanda passed by to grab Leona's dot.

"His name is also Arfan his girlfriend is PS" Amanda said as she glanced at Arfan. Arfan could only pout.

"This mama"

"What did Mama find for you? just the next time someone wants to be with you" Amanda bargained with her prank. Amanda would love to prank her son if she wanted to by chance. Amanda also wants to get a granddaughter from Arfan, Amanda is not so hopeful from Rio and Sena especially Sasa has told her everything Sena said to herself.

It's the pain that Amanda feels but there's a power of her son to love Sena even Amanda feels this son loves Sena more than he does.

"Yes there is a search for it but it must be beautiful, both nurut same husband"

Arfan's last words he said while glancing at Sena who was playing mobile phone while Rio was busy with his laptop.

Sasa and Amanda knew what Arfan meant. Sasa immediately rolled his eyes bored especially Sasa still remembered Sena's spicy words.

"Okay, mama's gonna find him"

"Yes Tan find a good one, don't know Auntie"

Amanda knew that Sasa was insinuating Sena. From the beginning they met directly there was a spark of competition between the two of them.

"Sa, Leona's food is ready"

Amanda smiles happily when Leona is very greedy to eat especially her who feeds Leona.

Leona Anteng sits in a baby chair with her tiny fingers playing her toys.

Aina felt what her sister felt and was lucky her daughter was not like Sena or Rio although sometimes Sasa made her dizzy. Aina also knew Amanda was more concerned with the happiness of her sons and did not care about her being hurt until this. Amanda was smiling but her heart was crying, this is called the heartfelt love of a mother.

Amanda continues to feed Leona who laughs at her milk teeth. Leona's presence makes Amanda's heart hurt.

"That's funny, eat that much well"

Arfan who is playing PSP glances towards Amanda who is feeding Leona. Although Arfan does not have blood ties with Amanda, Arfan can feel the sadness that Amanda feels.

Arfan was out of his seat looking for Rio. Arfan was eager to vent his anger to Rio who Arfan thought Rio was a man who was too innocent or maybe stupid, would be tricked by a wife who never thought about his feelings or others.

Rio is making coffee in the kitchen with a chaotic mind especially Aina has told me everything Amanda experienced in her establishment.

Without being realized by Rio behind him now there is Arfan who looks angry at him.

The sound of trembling made the two look over. The two froze when they saw a loved one crying in front of them. Amanda had been listening to her two sons' quarrels.

Amanda's heart is hurt when Rio says Arfan is not her biological child it's true Arfan is not her biological child but the affection Amanda gives is the same as the one she gave to Rio.

Amanda looked at Rio with a sigh. Rionya has now changed until Amanda feels she no longer knows him.

"Why did you say that to your sister?"

"Why are you protesting now? why not yesterday. Ri, mama has always considered Arfan the biological child of mama and even mama forgot that Arfan is not the child of mama"

Rio directly hit Arfan's face to fall down and it all happened in front of Amanda.

"RIIOOOO!" shouted Amanda with her power until the person who was in the middle room headed to the kitchen all.

Everyone was surprised to see Arfan sitting on the floor with broken lips and also a lethargy when he saw Amanda who was dripping with tears.

Amanda can't ask anymore, all this happened because of her mistake that was too dear to Rio until she forgot to teach Rio what is good bad human nature that can change her life.

After hitting Arfan, Rio instantly fell silent and regretted what he had done.

"Hit mom now! the mama who brought Arfan to this house is the mama you hit, not Arfan!"

All those who look start to know what has happened but unfortunately Riko and Bram are not at home only they can muffle all of this.

"Why are you quiet?"

Amanda grabbed Rio's right hand that had hit Arfan. Amanda pointed Rio's handcuffs to her face.

"Let's hit mama!"

"Ma, Arfan's got nothing"

"You shut up Fan. Mama is talking to Mama's son"

Arfan could only obey without being able to do anything.

"Let's hit!" amanda's eyes are sharp and piercing and there is disappointment in them.

Angel walked ahead of Rey down a path consisting of neatly arranged bricks. The flowers also look beautiful. The wind that blows brings the fragrance of flowers that anesthetize.

The park is crowded but the atmosphere is peaceful, especially the air is very fresh.

Angel looked at Rey. Rey's smile makes Angel's heart beat fast. Rey slipped the flower in Angel's left ear.

"Beautiful"

Angel felt his cheeks flushed red, only this time Rey praised him with a tone that sounded real plus serious like never before that sounded mocking.

"You're praising me?" ask Angel with a blank face. Rey frowned and smiled suspiciously.

"Aww"

Rey clings to Angel's head. Angel stroked her head, which was grabbed by Rey. Angel looked at Rey.

"Thank you I was khilaf" said Rey relaxed and then passed away. Angel immediately chased after him and grabbed Rey's shoulder. With a different posture makes Rey lower her body.

Angel looks very happy with the atmosphere of the park that feels like both of them. Rey has always been fascinated by Angel's beauty and her smile is very sweet while reconciling the heart.

"Is this a good time" Rey asked herself. Rey slowly approached Angel who was blowing soapy bubbling sticks. Rey took out a small pink box from her pocket.

"Ew"

Angel looked straight at Rey. Angel saw something different from Rey's gaze, a gaze she had seen from the eyes of others.

"You why? how come I see that's so?"

Rey did not answer. Rey kept walking in front of Angel. Angel frowned, suspecting that Rey was going to crush him.

"Rey?"

"El, first I see you I'm fascinated. You are always what you are and you always care about others even if you do not know them. You're your nature as your name suggests, good as an angel"

Angel did not understand the direction of Rey's speech which usually only mocked and teased him but now he praised him and said he was fascinated.

"What the hell are you talking about Rey? I'm just a regular human being nothing more"

"For me you are my angel. The fear always makes me miss. El, I know we're friends but over time I-"

Rey hangs up her words, she knelt down before Angel to propose to her with the courage and sincere love she had.

Angel was immediately shocked as Rey knelt before him by opening the box containing the ring. Angel can't believe Rey proposed to her when Rey never saw any sign that Rey loved her but now? all changed Angel guessed the ignorant and nosy nature that Rey showed just to attract his attention.

"I know we're friends but you need to know I think you're more than a friend and more than a sister. I want you to be my wife, the mother of my children and we will be together forever and ever in heaven. Nothing can separate us"

Rey's line of words full of confidence and sincerity blind Angel's tears down especially with this fate makes him sad. Angel didn't know Rey loved him this much.

"Rey you're kidding me again?"

Angel tried to make sure and somehow his chest hurt. Everything is more difficult than ever. Rey shook her head with certainty, her coming here just for this purpose was nothing else. Rey just wants her angel to be hers and love this angel until her last breath.

Rey red both hands Angel. Rey smiled very sweetly at Angel.

"I'm not kidding, as long as I'm in Bali I keep dreaming about you. I miss you, I want to know how you are and I realize all my breath is just for you"

"Believe me, I will always love you, take care of you, make you happy I will not let you grieve. Angel, please marry me"
