"Are you angry about Alea?" The question from the insensitive man made Kimmy feel even more upset. He lifted his chin. His nearly invisible eyeballs now ventured to look at Jasson.
"Yes, I'm angry because I don't like seeing you with Miss Alea, even if she's just your friend or secretary!" exclaim Kimmy. "You always scolded me if I was close to other men, but you never realized your closeness to Miss Alea had caused me this much heartache!"
"I get hurt every time you get close to Miss Alea. I'm jealous .. I'm so jealous .. you understand!" Kimmy's tears rolled down his face. Jasson hugged Kimmy. But Kimmy's palm strikes landed repeatedly on Jasson's chest, as if they could ease the pain he had been feeling.
"Jinner ...."
"Take me off. I don't want to be with you!" Kimmy's pain was relieved through the cries and punches he landed on Jasson's chest. The woman thrashed out hoping to break away, but Jasson's hand was further strengthened to hold her. Until now the fragile body of the woman did not budge in the arms of Jasson who managed to make himself calm.
The sound of sobs still filled the silence of the room. Jasson was frozen. He was confused what to say. He is not good at talking or persuading women. He could only remain silent, pouring his attention through a hug that Kimmy was calming to him
Jasson stared fixedly at Kimmy's puffy face after he let go of his embrace. His thumb dried out the woman's face, followed by tidying up her messy hair filling her face. The tip of his nose looks red.
"I'm sorry." The sentence escaped Jasson's lips after the silence between them paused for quite a while. Kimmy's still tight-lipped. He was busy breathing his breath.
"I didn't know you'd get hurt like this because of my closeness and Alea."
"I've been looking all over the office toilets for you, but I didn't know you were in the basement. I have no thoughts of looking for you there. The basement was never used again. That's why I went straight home. Because I thought, maybe you go home first."
"And you're taking Miss Alea home first?" Kimmy's raucous voice acknowledges it, as if deliberately looking for faults in her husband.
Jasson closed his eyes briefly followed by a small, barely audible swoop. Confused what else to say in order to make Kimmy understand.
"My closeness to Alea all this time was only because I felt sorry for her. We're just friends, nothing more." Jasson cupped Kimmy's cheeks. The woman's lips were clenched. Before, he had never seen Jasson speak this softly to her, not even to anyone. The rubbing of Jasson's hand on his head made his originally screaming soul instantly soften. The man before him right now was truly a weakness he could not avoid.
"I have absolutely no feelings for Alea." Kimmy sharpened his hearing, as well as his gaze. There was no lie tucked into Jasson's two silver eye beads as he spoke those words. His voice sounds real.
"But Miss Alea?" Kimmy tries to dodge when Jasson's hand tries to touch her face back, "she has feelings for you!"
"That's impossible!" sergeant Jasson.
"He told me himself, he likes you!" exclaim Kimmy. The tears rolled back over his almost dry face. Kimmy remembers questioning Alea's feelings for Jasson. Her heart ached as Alea confirmed about her conjecture.
"Like to be a friend. Nothing is wrong!" rebut Jasson. "Alea already has an undisclosed dream man."
"And that man is you! Why can't you feel it!" Kimmy's voice was confirmed so that her husband would realize. But it feels free. From Jasson's eyes, he couldn't believe it.
"Kimmy, I know Alea."
"Yes .. You know him better than I know him. That's why you don't trust me!"
Jasson immediately pulled Kimmy's body away from him. He was confused to say or behave how else. Women are really confusing creatures, her inner self. Wanting to return Kimmy's words, but he was afraid of mistalking.
"Kimmy, I don't trust you!" Jasson clutched Kimmy back tightly after a kiss on the top of her head. "I trust you so much."
"Let's sit down first." Jasson let go of his embrace. He guides Kimmy who initially refuses his invitation to sit on the edge of the bed. Jasson landed her body next to the woman.
Jasson's eyes focused on Kimmy's red-looking arms. Feeling guilty, realizing his wife's hand was like that because of her accident.
"I'm sorry, I was rude." Jasson rubbed the arm very gently. As if that could cure him. Kimmy was silent for a moment. His eyes were staring in any direction.
"Don't you always act like that when you're angry?"
"I'm sorry, sometimes I can't realize or control my emotions when I'm angry" she said, tucking Kimmy's hair behind my ear.
"Wait a minute." Jasson stood up and picked up clothes for his wife from the closet.
"Deplace your clothes. I'll get you some food." Kimmy picked up the clothes Jasson had given her, then nodded her head.
***
Jasson looks busy feeding Kimmy in the room. This is the first time after marriage that the man has fed his wife. Kimmy refused and asked to eat alone. However, Jasson still insisted on bribing him. Kimmy was noticed once that night by Jasson.
"I'm full already." Kimmy blocked the mouthful that almost landed into his mouth.
"Today just."
"I don't want to, I'm full."
"All right." Jasson can't force it. He placed the remaining plates of food on the nightstand.
Bi Katty's voice and the knock on the door suddenly split the silence inside there. Bi Katty opened the door of the room that was originally closed after Jasson gave her permission to enter.
"What's up, Bi?" ask Jasson.
"There, Mr. Ken, in ...."
"Aunt doctor ...." Elga suddenly appears when her tiny body manages to break through Aunt Katty's body blocking the doorway.
"Elga?" A smile expands perfectly on Kimmy's face to make both eyes narrower. He got down from the bed and immediately embraced Elga who immediately buried her tiny body.
"Who are you with, honey?" kimmy asked shortly after the embrace between the two missed ending with a kiss landing on his nephew's round cheek.
"Daddy ...."
Elga put her two tiny hands close to Kimmy's ears. "I miss you" she whispered, so that Kimmy's ears were amused that she laughed. The sadness inside Kimmy immediately seemed to be replaced by the presence of the little girl.
"Nummy ... Jasson ...." Ken looks to be approaching. Bi Katty left after her job was done.
"Sister Ken?" A smile erupted to welcome the sudden arrival of her sister-in-law.
"Where, Alana, Brother?" ask Jasson.
"Alana's not coming. I'm here to deliver Elga. He whined about coming here." Ken shook his head at his daughter's irrefutable request.
"Do you guys mind if Elga stays here?" ask Ken.
"No" said Elga. Kimmy and Jasson laughed.
Ken took a breath. "Daddy asked Uncle and Aunt, Son. Not to you."
"Just the same. Aunty wouldn't mind, would you, Auntie?"
"Yes, Auntie doesn't mind at all. Auntie's happy that you're staying here. So Auntie has a friend." Kimmy anxiously leaves a kiss on Elga's cheek. Like opium, to make the woman endlessly want to kiss her nephew's cheek.
"Daddy can hear it, right? Auntie doesn't mind." The sound of Elga's voice was faint in Ken's ear.
"It's kind of like Alana, it's kind of annoying" Ken grumbled.
"Oh, yes, Jasson, I want to talk to you about something important."
"Speak about what, brother?" Jasson's forehead was curled up curious.
"About the company."
"Oh .. Then we'll talk in my study, brother."

They were in the room Jasson used to work in. The room is quite spacious. Many old books and files are neatly organized there. Also, a computer is attached to a table that is dark brown with a unique accent carvings made of Dutch teak wood.
Ken started the conversation after the two sipped black coffee in their respective cups. They talk about the company. The conversation was long and serious. Until shortly after, silence enveloped the room when the topic of their conversation was over.
Jasson took a sip back on his coffee, then put the cup back where it was. He rested his back on the couch. His gaze was pointing in any direction. His mind suddenly groaned as his debate with Kimmy about Alea returned to question.
"You why?" Ken's forehead creased deeply, paying attention to his younger brother who looked uncharacteristic. Ken knows that his brother is currently confused. It was clear from the look in his eyes and the look on his face.
"There's nothing, brother." The smile that seemed forced could not lie to Ken.
"Don't lie to Brother! Speak up, what's wrong with you?"
Jasson was silent for a moment. He never shared or told anyone about his personal problems except Harry; his best friend from childhood. Because, according to Jasson, only Harry can understand it.
"I'm just confused, Brother." Jasson rubbed his face rough.
"Why jungles? Do you have a problem with Kimmy?" ask Ken. His gaze scurried.
Jasson's silence also confirmed his brother's allegations.
"What are you having with Kimmy?" The question Ken asked Jasson to answer immediately. Jasson drew his gaze towards Ken. Confused to compile answers.
"Ehm ... Sis, has Alana ever been jealous of you?" ask him suddenly.
Ken laughed as he shook his head. I felt that her sister's question was ridiculous. "of course. Not just ever, but often! He's scary when he's jealous."
"What makes Alana jealous of you, sister?"
"What else would a woman be jealous of if not for another woman" he replied as he lifted the cup to take a sip of the black liquid that was still welling up inside.
"If you're close to another woman, Alana will be jealous?"
"of course. You are so stupid!" ken exclaimed as he put his cup back on the table.
"Alana's jealous because she loves me." Ken smiled, feeling it was something he was proud of.
"Why are you asking like that?" Ken's forehead wrinkled. Followed by both eyebrows. "Is Kimmy jealous of you?"
Jasson was silent for a moment. His head nodded and confirmed it. "Yes, Kimmy hastily saw me close to Alea. You know, Alea and I are just friends."
"Son has told you many times. Keep your distance from Alea!" bulkhead Ken. His gaze changed with warning. I don't think he accepted.
"If you're married, there's no such thing as a girlfriend. Your girlfriend is just your wife! Just wife!" ken said with a confirmed voice.
Jasson breathed out harshly. Justifying his brother's words. Though he himself did not accept if Kimmy befriended other men, but he was instead selfishly close friends with Alea without ever realizing that his closeness had made Kimmy hurt.
"If Kimmy's jealous, is that a sign that Kimmy loves me too, sister?" ask Jasson.
"You think?" Ken's question made Jasson mute. "If someone doesn't love you, he'll never be jealous even if you're close to a thousand women at once!"
Jasson still did not believe it completely. He still doubts Kimmy's feelings before knowing her own truth. Given that his wife was very close to Mark. Mark could have been the man Kimmy liked, or even loved, Jasson thought.
"Then what should I do, brother?" Jasson relaxed his back which he had originally stiffened.
"Sway Alea!"
"How come? You know, you know, Alea's my secretary. All my work always involves him" Jasson said. "But if I stay with Alea continuously. I'm afraid Kimmy's gonna hurt."
Ken was silent, still helping to think. "Let Brother take care of him" he said casually as an idea shot through the mind of the man who had two children.
"In what way?"
"Sister will pull Alea in so she can replace Jesslyn to help me and Daven."
"Then Jesslyn?"
"He'll replace Alea working with you."
"Sister is right? Do you want me to argue with him every day?" exclaiming Jasson.
"You want to argue with Kimmy every day or with Jesslyn?" A choice Jasson could not argue with. It's better to have a debate every day with Jesslyn than to have a debate with Kimmy. It feels like he can't. Especially when the debate made the woman cry, her heart felt sick. Since I knew Kimmy. All he saw was his cheerfulness, but after marriage, he almost never saw the joy on the woman's face.
"How's it?" ask Ken to make sure.
"Alright, Brother. But, does Jesslyn want to work with me?"
"You don't have to worry. If it's brother who told him to, he'll want to." The words calmed Jasson's heart and mind. He was immediately relieved when he found a way out that he felt was right.
Hygiene ....
"Do you love Kimmy?" ask Ken suddenly.
Jasson lifted his chin. He looked at his brother with a confused look. "I don't know" he replied, shaking innocently.
"How can you not know?" exclaim Ken. Feeling upset. "Too long alone, yeah, like this!" lamented Ken.
"So, I used to be like that!" exclaiming Jasson.
"But I know that I love Alana. While you?"
"But I really don't know, brother." Jasson pressed both his shoulders. "Honey, like, or love, I really can't tell the difference."
Ken was silent for a moment. "Then leave Kimmy!" his orders made Jasson's forehead wrinkle deep.
"What did you mean to tell me to leave Kimmy?" exclaiming Jasson. There was an emotional pressure that shook his voice. "Have you gone crazy telling me to leave Kimmy? I'm not leaving him!"
"You just don't understand how you feel. Then what are you defending it for?"
"My color ...." Silence instantly smothered Jasson's mouth.
Ken pulled both corners of his lips. "You've found the answer."
Ken stood up and pulled the collar of his brother's shirt.
"You should never dare to hurt Kimmy once in a while, if you don't want to deal with Brother!" A pat landed on Jasson's cheek. The warning was like a slap to him.
"Sister go home first. Greetings to Kimmy. I'm taking Elga." Ken was wearing the coat he had originally taken off. Then it went away from there, when Jasson gave it permission.
Jasson was still in the same place. To embrace his own heart and mind.
"Is it true that Kimmy said Alea had a feeling for me?" Jasson tried to guess.
"From now on I have to stay away from Alea for Kimmy's sake." The words were already fully spun out by Jasson.
