Slowly, Indra's eyes opened. The first thing that makes it really awake is the smell of cotton alcohol and also the typical disinfectant of the hospital.
Followed by an all-white room and large khaki-colored long curtains that surround the left of the gurney that he occupied.
His forehead shriveled as the sunlight hit his face. His eyes spontaneously glanced at the lyrics, looking for a wall clock at the end of the room that had shown at 8am.
“Father is awake?” ask a tall, straight-haired man who uses a brown t-shirt and blue jeans.
“I where?” asked Indra with a raucous sigh.
“In hospital. Father three days ago accident,” replied the man whose age looks very young. Indra guessed, maybe this man was 15 to 20 years younger than him.
A moment later, he tried to move his left hand which was located beside his body. But strange, like something was holding back. Indra revealed the blanket that covered her body to the stomach and found a shiny metal object coiled on her wrist.
“This is why my handcuffed?” ask Indra who does not accept.
But the man had walked away from her, called the doctor because he had regained consciousness.
“Open! Oh! Open my cuffs! Open!!”
“DIEM LO KUNYUK!” snapped at the man who had returned from the nurse station. “Shouted again, I grilled next to lo seeds!”
Then, the doctor and several nurses came, doing anamnesis about the history of the disease that Indra had suffered, including his complaints about shrimp allergies that now even show more severe symptoms because there are bumps with pus around the mouth, palms, soles of the feet and some other parts.
Indra also just realized that his hair is now falling out badly, coupled with the fever that now affects his body. Not to mention his right hand that was wrapped in bandages and casts, there was a great pain.
Then another nurse came in, gave him some medicine and some injections. More than 15 minutes later, all the pain she experienced subsided.
The paramedics finally left, leaving Indra and the man alone in the room.
“Lo frequent snacks where?” ask the man to her.
Indra frowned looking at the man with dislike. He felt the question was too impudent to ask. He has the right to be silent and not answer, right?
“Switch shift anyway lo, so pain startinian!”
“I want to be accompanied by my lawyer. I beg you, let my family come here.”
The man thought for a moment, called someone who was likely responsible for Indra's whereabouts here then went outside without saying a word to her again.
When alone like this, he tries to digest what happened and why he was here.
...***...
Crash night…
*Indra stared softly at Ranita. The woman was just starting to show her panic now. He held out his left hand to hold the trembling hand.
"Don't be afraid, there's Mas here. Thanks for giving me that idea. Thank you for staying logical when I almost panicked*.”
The fiancee just nodded slowly. But the more they moved away from the city of Jakarta, the more agitated he became. Every now and then, the woman looked back so unsettled.
“Honey, we have to calm down, okay? We stick to the plan,” Indra said.
*when seen the condition of the road was quiet, there was only one metallic gray sedan car behind them that moved slowly, Ranita then looked at Indra with nanar.
"I’m so sorry, Mas*.”
“For what—RITA!”
The question was cut off with a screech of Indra so loud when Ranita's hands suddenly pushed the steering wheel that was being controlled by him that the car suddenly veered sharply to the right. With all her strength, Indra tried to turn the steering wheel held by Ranita to the left, but the woman was both holding firmly.
“Detach, Ranita! LO CRAZY!”
BRACKET!
Collision inevitable. The car hit the road separator mercilessly. The right side of the car was the most destroyed after crashing the barrier object tightly.
*Airbag was immediately released and expanded from the dashboard to protect the woman's body even though she was still injured due to the impact of the airbag that was not approximately on her body.
When the car stopped, his eyes opened. He watched as the steel of the road barrier had been smashed formlessly. As he looked to the side, the man had already nearly lost his consciousness. And unfortunately, Indra's airbag does not open.
“Rita..” whispered in a groan.
*without wasting any time and insignificant parting words, Rita got out of the car and headed for the gray car, which had stopped right behind them.
The car immediately took Ranita away from there, leaving Indra in a helpless state that was no longer able to speak*.
***
“Rita,” furious with rage. “You will bear the consequences!”
The man then shifted his body, facing to the left. There were tears of regret and anger coming down from his eyes.
The pain in his heart and also in his body made complete Indra's suffering this time around. Betrayed by his own fiancee completely destroyed him to the brink.
It could be that the woman he had given everything, his treasure, his heart and soul, sacrificed herself to save himself!
He also just realized, that what Ranita called that night was not the police, but the fucking Bambang! Indra growled in frustration until her body trembled.
The accident was just a trap so that Bambang could waltz away quietly because all police attention was centered on the accident that Indra experienced.
He was too wrapped up in his frustration to the point of not realizing that anyone was nearby. There were other figures who were now standing not far from him.
“Papa..”
Indra looked at the origin of the voice. The voice of a beautiful teenage girl who is similar to her mother, but has hair and eyes from her. Beside him, stood the mother of the teenager, staring at him.
“Viani,” murmur Indra. He was eager to hug his son, but the handcuffs in his hands made his body movements very limited. And he couldn't reach Viani if the boy didn't get close. “Cabin, Nak.”
“Viani,” Gemma held back Viani who was about to hug her father. “Viani, get out first yes. Mama wants to talk to Papa.”
Not so close to Indra, the boy immediately out of the room. Gemma watched until the boy closed the door, then she looked back at Indra sharply.
“Gemma. I am sick, Gem,” Indra said so spoiledly, coding Gemma to pity her. “Do you have the heart to leave me in a state like this? We have promised in hard and happy, sick and healthy always together!”
“Do not take the oath that you yourself have broken!” snapped Gemma with a trembling body. “From the beginning you were never with me, Ndra! What you give me is just the right material, nothing more. Outside you have fun with a lot of women! Does Ranita know how you're doing outside, Mas?”
“Don't you dare accuse me just anyone, Gem! I can sue you if it's not proven!”
Gemma laughed cynically then whispered, “See your body, Ndra. Do you think you are allergic to shrimp? What kind of shrimp is it? Mutant shrimp?”
Indra's mouth clenched to hear the words Gemma. Little by little, he finally knew what the woman meant.
“I forbid Viani to approach you. He already knows about the corruption you and all your friends are doing. News is everywhere. You should be grateful that the child still wants to visit you here. But if you're self-conscious, you shouldn't let your son touch this disgusting body of yours.”
Gemma waited for Indra to reply to all her talk. Usually the man did not want to lose, but this time, Gemma could feel the aura of defeat from the man was so piercing.
“You can't leave me so alone, Gem! You are still my legal wife! I will not let you go, you will not be able to get Viani—“
“Next week is our first trial, dear. I can't wait to separate from you. Do you think you still deserve custody of Viani after all your cases have been exposed?”
Indra again silenced to hear the statement of the usually quiet woman.
“You forgot that you cheated too?”
“It wasn't me cheating, but you were the one who took me forcibly from him! If it wasn't for the forced marriage, I would have gone to college with him by then! I've been working, and married and lived happier lives!" Gemma groaned holding back the anger in her heart. His hands clenched tightly until his veins appeared.
As if not enough, Gemma lowered her head and whispered so mysteriously. “You have taken all my future so brutally... I can't wait to separate from you. Where is Ranita who you say is better than me? Hm... How does it feel to be betrayed?"
Gemma stood away, looking at Indra whose face was full of defeat. "Where is Indra always confident? Who always thought I wouldn't be anything without him? Hhh... Now who wants to be with you? Enjoy your karma, Darling!”
