Our Story: The Sudden Chancellery

Our Story: The Sudden Chancellery
84. Before Marriage

Gemma was devastated after Yahya's departure. The woman thought that by hating her father, it would be enough not to cry after he died.

But Gemma is wrong. He is the most miserable person. She and Marni were, of course, the woman who cried the loudest at Yahya's funeral.

Yahya was buried in the same cemetery as Mitha, just a few meters away.

Initially Gemma did not accept. Fortunately, the presence of Gala and one of Mona's children who is still a toddler can make Gemma's attention distracted. He became a little excited again and wanted to continue the preparation of their marriage that had been delayed.

Plus, Yahya's last message was, their marriage should not be postponed at all whatever happens to the old man later.

Two weeks passed. Gala, Gemma, Viani and Marni still regularly visit the grave of the father.

“Dad, we came,” Gala said.they now stand side by side with Viani at the weekend while sowing flowers.

Yahya's only grandson also still often cries if he remembers the death of the Opa he just met. Of course, the incident of Yahya fainted yesterday was so imprinted in the hearts of the teenager. Just met, Opanya directly anfal, not even long later died. Which grandson is ready, try it?

As for Marni, don't ask. The woman was still crying every day. One sentence that is always repeated by the nurse who is a little bit flippant is, “Bang. Why did you leave me? Who's my salary later, Bang?”

Between sad or amused, Gala instantly calms down. “Udah Bu Marni relax. We'll work together later, okay?”

And the man only resigned when mourned by the bongsor woman.

“Huuu! Baaaaanggg!! Bang Yahya!!” so hysterical he was that Gala almost fell to hold Marni's body weight. The woman hugged Gala tightly, not caring about the surroundings that were crowded with visitors. “No one asked Pecel Lele to be with me, Bang! I alone ate Pecel Lele in Kalideres, Bang!”

Viani stopped crying. While Gala held back laughter and nostalgia when she came to Yahya's house the first time and asked him for permission to take Gemma on the road.

“Pecel Lele sambal pedes,” muttered Gemma while glancing at the smiling Gala towards him.

Because of Marni's strong embrace, this man had no choice but to hug Marni back and calm her down.

“Udah-already, Mom,” Initially Gala had imagined that Gemma was crying in her arms. Now, he hugs other species of creatures. “Too often eat Pecel Lele, it's sick like Dad, want?”

There is hardly any correlation. But from then on, Marni stopped eating Pecel Lele.

At least, the woman kept away the one thing that could awaken her memories with Yahya.

...***...

All preparations have been done well even though it seems speedy. The wedding planner and organizer team work together to realize the dream wedding of the couple—ralat, Gala's dream. Gemma just want their wedding impressed simple, simple, no complicated with a little invitation.

But ‘simple’ Gala version and ‘simple’ Gemma version it is much different. Secretly, the man still spent a lot of money. Designers, photographers and souvenirs are all done by the best and most expensive people in the country.

For the matter of photos, not yet anything, Gemma has complained about the choice of pre wedding photo concepts that are really time-consuming.

Gala finally gave up. Gemma prefers some casual concepts with relaxing places, which she thinks are not complicated and not time-consuming. The first is in the kitchen!

Gala wears jeans and a white sweater, while her fiance wears a boho-style shirt featuring her shoulders. The woman was ready with her natural makeup plus hair that was loose.

Gemma seemed light when asking for something simple, but it turned out that this was beyond her expectations. Not complicated anymore. The concept was not as simple as he thought.

They should look for a suitable kitchen to rent, and add some equipment there. Plus the woman turned out to be too stiff in front of the camera.

The pretend cooking session together ended up failing miserably.

After taking a break from a long session due to the inexhaustible awkwardness of Gemma, they now sit in the living room of the apartment where they take pictures and enjoy lunch with a team of photographers.

“Hmm. It's so long whose country?”

Gemma pouted, “You are! You know I'm not familiar with the camera!”

The photographer then coded on his team to get ready because lunch was over. Gemma and Gala follow them towards the kitchen set.

“By the way, Gem, you think about the kitchen gini?”

“No idea, would like to. I think simple. Cute.”

But Gala responded to her fiance in a different way. She grinned, “Hmm.. I know why you want her pre wedding here.”.

“Why?”

The woman's waist was drawn until there was no distance between them and then sat the woman on the counter, uniting her forehead with Gemma's forehead.

The lips of the fiancee were pierced right in front of the crowd. Gala doesn't care if they're the center of attention, because that's what she wants.

“You're remembering our first kiss after 15 years in my apartment right?”

Gemma looked at Gala's eyes fixedly with her round green eyes holding in shame. The memory is still clearly imprinted in Gemma's brain. When he was wearing Gala's oversized shirt that fell to half his thigh and when the man suddenly nyosor kissed him.

Gemma's cheeks instantly met a natural red. Gala looked at the woman with a fluffy smile and deepening dimples.

The photographer did not want to throw away that friendly moment just like that. He pressed the button on his camera, capturing every second of that moment as much as he could.
