Renata pov
Hi, my name is Renata. Call me Rena or Nana. I was the second of four
brothers Lukman Mahendra and Mona Alisia. According to my friends, my personality is hard to guess. My character can be fickle, sometimes I can be very chatty, but it can also be very quiet. I can be a very sweet and submissive girl, but can also turn into a jutek and dissident girl. I can be a warm person, but I can also be very cold.
Now I have just entered college at one of the top private colleges in my city, Pelangi University. At Pelangi University I chose the faculty of Teacher Training and Education (KIP), majoring in Indonesian. I would love to be a teacher, a noble profession that has an important role for the next generation of the nation. A position capable of flowing reward, even if the soul has been separated from its body. Although, when the decision was made I took a lot of people against it, especially the extended family of my parents.
The primitive view is still thick in my extended family. The view that the name of the woman does not need high school, anyway the edges also to the kitchen. However, it is fortunate that my parents did not hold such views that they would always support whatever was my choice.
I will prove to them that I can. I can be the one who will make them proud later on by becoming a teacher.
Alan pov
Hi, my name is Alan Bagaskara. I used to be called Alan. I am the first of two children of Kevin Bagaskara and Elana Wijaya. I'm a jolly, loving person, and my friends say a little installment (Hehe.. time anyway?) Now I sit in the third semester, majoring in Indonesian, Faculty of KIP, University of Pelangi.
At the end of the second semester, during the election of BEM chairmen majoring in my faculty, I was asked by friends to run for the chairperson of BEM Department They reasoned I was worthy and competent to be nominated. From the election results I was elected as chairman of BEMJ Bahasa Indonesia period 2004-2005.
Besides me, there are two more friends in my class who were also elected as BEM chairmen in their respective majors. They are Abhimanyu Saputra, Chairman of BEM Department of English and Arkana Prayudha, Chair of BEM Department of Biology.
Arkana Prayudha is commonly called Arka. His reserved personality made it difficult for people to recognize his true character. He is a friendly and humble figure. However, he was also easily emotional and very ambitious. It may be true that there is a proverb that says "silently drifting". Yes, that.
In the same period when we were elected as the chairman of BEM Department, Dewa Antara, Semester 4 Students from the Department of English was elected as the chairperson of BEM Faculty.
Kak Dewa is a person who is firm, independent, and unpretentious. He gave us a lot of learning, especially learning about being a good leader.
Just like me, Abi, and Arka are now in the 3rd semester majoring in English and Biology, while Kak Dewa entered the 5th semester of this year.
In addition to being active in BEMJ, I was also active in some of the activities in my campus, such as poetry music and drama theater.
