"Prospective son-in-law?" Amri was made to stutter a little surprised to hear Marvel's words.
Marvel nodded with an unflagging smile on his handsome face.
"You mean how young?" Ask Amri to make sure.
"Call me Marvel, Father-in-law." Marvel changed his nickname.
"Emh, yes. What do you mean Marvel?" Ask Amri again.
"I am the son-in-law of Windi's father-in-law's son-in-law." Marvel.
"W-what?" Amri was surprised.
"I'm sorry if my words startle you, sir." Marvel saw the shock on Amri's face.
"Not so, son. You mean you're Windi's girlfriend?" Ask Amri.
"I'm not Windi's girlfriend, Dad. But I'm the man who's gonna ask Windi to be my wife." Marvel.
Amri shut up and tried to digest Marvel's intentions.
Seeing Amri who was silent and did not understand the meaning of his words made Marvel continue his speech. "Windi and I have never been in a relationship before, Dad. I just got to know Windi, and vice versa. Although I have only known her for a short time, but I can already feel that my daughter is a good and great woman. That's why I intend to marry her." Marvel.
"What's? But why didn't Windi ever tell me about yourself?" Ask Amri.
"Maybe it's because Windi is still hesitant about her feelings, Dad." Answer Marvel. This time he did not care for being determined by meeting Windi's father and expressing his good intentions to Windi's father. What is clear is that he does not want to take long to make Windi his wife. Moreover, Marvel last night got a phone call if Windi's father should immediately get treatment for his illness.
Marvel nodded his head in response. "I hope Dad is willing to give up Windi to be my wife." Marvel said expectantly.
Amri can see the sincerity of Marvel's face while talking to her. "All I leave to my daughter. If Windi is willing to be your wife, then I am also willing to marry her to you." Reply Amri.
Marvel smiled at him. He took one hand of Amri and held it. "I can't promise you anything. For sure I will fight as hard and as I can to always make Windi happy." Marvel.
Both of Amri's eyes seemed to be glazed over hearing a sincere-sounding speech coming out of Marvel's mouth. He did not expect that this soon a man would come to him to ask his daughter to be his wife.
"If you really want to have my daughter, don't hurt her once." Amri's Message.
"I'll try for that, Dad. I asked Windi to be my wife not for me to hurt her heart." Marvel is sure.
Amri exhales freely in the air. His body that had been heavy since the pain in his body slowly felt light after hearing Marvel's words.
The conversation between the two men of different generations continued until Marvel finally said goodbye to go to work. Marvel did not even say who he was to Amri's father so that Amri's father did not feel inferior to the differences between them.
"Windi. And now I can only wait until you call me and tell me you're willing to be my wife." Marvel said as he continued to walk away from Amri's father's nursery.
