Reaching the Moon

Reaching the Moon
Chapter 47

Black clouds began to adorn the nabastala of dusk. The beautiful orange color slowly dims like a hope that never finds an answer. The moon sat in front of the hospital. Although tired, his gaze remained awake observing every form that passed before him.

I don't know how long he's been doing this new activity. However, his heart did not hesitate to do the same thing every day. Everyone in the hospital knew her until they gave her the nickname 'strange woman'.

The moon does not care, it feels that since Nizam left, his heart is getting numb to the reproaches and insults of people. Crazy, maybe he's already at that stage. I don't know, it's been a long time that the woman hasn't checked herself into a psychiatrist about her psychological disorder. Even when Khaira offered to accompany him, he refused.

"Moon, let's go home! It's raining soon" Khaira asked when she had just finished her work hours at the hospital.

"Yes, Mother." The moon followed and immediately walked beside the mother-in-law. They walked together entering the car that had come to pick up.

The journey felt so quiet and silent. The moon doesn't say much, only answers when asked. He looked more often at the sky outside the window of the car that was getting dark, covering a day that felt so bland without the figure of the husband.

Not long after, the car stopped in front of the house. The moon waving hands ushered in the departure of the in-laws who continued the journey to his residence. Yes, this is how the woman's life is now since the husband lost news, he still chose himself at home, although Khaira often asked the woman to stay with them.

For him, guarding the property and the husband's house is his duty while Nizam is absent. He also believes that one day Nizam will return, and he will be faithfully waiting for him in the same place at any time.

The dawn prayer began to reverberate throughout the city, awakening every man to fulfill his duty to the Creator. However, Nizam did not wake up as usual. The man still closed his eyes, but his forehead was wrinkled. His face looked agitated until sweat soaked his temples.

"The moon!"

Nizam shouted as he opened his eyes, his heart racing as if he had just discovered something frightening.

"Moon" said the man repeating the name he had always mentioned unconsciously.

Who her? His name sounds familiar, it feels like he is so close to me, but where is he?

Nizam seemed to think for a moment. Somehow he felt longing for the owner of the name, but he did not know who he was.

"Did Aura know? Ah, I'll ask her later in the morning when Aura comes with breakfast." Nizam immediately got out of bed to fulfill his five-time obligation.

In the morning, as expected, Aura actually came to bring breakfast to Nizam and Beni. The three sat together in front of the dining table for breakfast together.

"Aura, I want to ask you something, please answer honestly," Nizam said.

"Yes, what is it?" reply Aura while spooning food into her mouth.

"Moon, who is he?"

Uhuk ... uhuk ...

"Aura, are you okay? Drink this." Nizam thrust a glass of drinking water in front of the woman for choking.

"Yes, I'm fine." Aura put the glass after drinking the water. The woman's heart was pounding in fear of the truth being revealed.

"Ra, please answer my question."

Aura turned towards Nizam who was now looking at her with hopeful and curious eyes.

Aura clenched her clenched hand that was holding a spoon, she was at a loss as to what to answer. I don't think he wants to lie anymore. However, the lies he had created before had managed to make it wrong way and forced to make a new lie.

One lie will be the door to another lie, one lie has the power to tarnish the truth as much as it does.'

"I don't know," Aura replied in the end while occasionally noticing Nizam's slightly disappointed look.

However, there was a tickling thing that Aura felt when he saw how the look in the man's eyes called the name of the Moon, there was a longing that was clearly visible there. Very different from the look in her eyes when she mentioned her name, even when looking at her, she found no love and longing there.

After the conversation, Nizam did not say much until they finished their breakfast. He pondered even more, looking for answers in his memory pieces. The unanswered curiosity really made the man uneasy.

Nizam's little heart ached every time he mentioned the name 'Moon'. There was a question that he was unable to answer, a longing that he could not express, and there was pain that was present because of that limitation.

Whoareyou? How special are you in my heart to be able to turn my whole mind to you? Even Aura who was clearly my future wife was unable to take your name off my mind.

"Oh." Nizam grimaced as his head suddenly felt a great pain.

"Art! Beni, help! My head hurt a lot" said Nizam, shouting at the nurse inside the house, while he was in his backyard as usual.

☘️☘️☘️

"When we've been together for a few months, it seems there's no more love in your heart for me. Very sad," the woman cussed herself.

At first he sincerely protects Nizam, but circumstances lead him astray even further just to ascertain how the man's heart really is. Unfortunately, after everything he did, his increasingly distant steps actually made him more and more struck by painful facts.

Forcing himself to love is painful, but taking advantage of Nizam's circumstances to make him love him again, while he knows in the man's heart there is already a Moon as his wife is truly madness. So, what is the difference with a pakak0r? Shame, hate, and feeling unable to keep marwah as a woman, that was what Aura felt at this time.

Tok tok tok tok

The sound of knocking on the door of the room Aura suddenly startled the woman and turned to the door. A man in the patient's clothes was poking his head there.

"Yes, what's wrong? Wanna check?" aura asked as she stood up from her chair.

"No, Doc," the man replied as he opened the door wide and stepped slowly into the room with one of his hands holding the crutches and one of his hands behind the body.

The frowning aura felt strange with the man. "Then? What's up, sir?" The woman began to be alert with her attitude that just kept getting closer to the table.

"What do you want? What are you hiding behind your body, Sir?" asked Aura again started to be scared.

"Silence, Doc. I have no evil intentions." The man tried to calm Aura down, then took out something from behind her body. "It's a flower for Doctor Ma'am" he said, giving a bunch of very beautiful pink flowers.

"What does this mean?" asked Aura with a frown.

"This flower carnation, I just saw the Doctor looked sad, so I want to keep this flower, let the doctor's life is always lucky and happy," explained the man with a facial expression as if he was memorizing.

The aura of reflexes laughed at the man's words. "What determines a person's destiny is God, not this flower, sir," Aura smiled. "Thank you, the flowers are beautiful." Aura received the flower happily.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Doctor, I just follow the word internet," the man replied honestly and immediately covered his mouth because he realized he had spoken wrongly.

"What?"

"Ah, no, Doc. I say goodbye, and don't forget to smile. Doctor ma'am beautiful if again a smile like that," said the man then immediately leave in a way slightly staggered leaving Aura whose face was now red.

"There's just that guy." Aura immediately stored her flowers into a vase of water and placed them on the table.

"Know that person with my current mood."

☘️☘️☘️

Aura walked while carrying a plastic bag containing three food boxes to the rented house where Nizam was. Today he had already decided to be honest before the man remembered everything and was enraged.

He no longer wants to continue his lies, he realizes what he has done so far is a big mistake, not only to his friend, but to his extended family. After all, there is no point in him continuing to hold Nizam, which is there he even raises new problems if he forces his ego too much.

"Assalamu 'alaikum, Ni .. zam." The aura that had been about to enter the house immediately stared at the doorway when it found the sharp and cold gaze of Nizam who was sitting in the living room, as if he had been waiting for his arrival since.

"I'm really disappointed in you, Ra. Ye know? I hate the current situation. Circumstances that make me unable to hate you after what you've done to me."

Deghs

"Zam, what are you talking about?" aura asked with a trembling voice, only this time she saw Nizam that angry at her.

"Have you lied to me and separated me from my family all this time? I feel so stupid because of you."

Aura who was beginning to understand the current situation immediately approached, but Nizam gave a code so that he did not step closer to the man.

"Nizam, I'm sorry. I admit I'm wrong, I deserve your anger, but please forgive me." Aura's body instantly suffocated, the pouch she had just held fell to the floor.

"I'm not angry that you've lied to me, but I'm angry that from now on I can't trust you anymore!"
