Chapter 2—Meet Elf

Half the journey has been taken. Arch looked towards Boston and they suddenly ran as fast as they could into the forest.

"One win for me."

"Master Arch, your run is so fast that I can't catch up."

"You still need a lot of practice, Boston!"

"So this is a molos forest. looks ordinary?"

Arch agreed, the molos forest didn't look spooky at all. There was no strangeness in it, if it wasn't for his father maybe Arch thought the elves weren't in the forest.

"First let's eat first, I'm hungry."

"I'll start a fire."

Boston carried raw meat in his little bag, he burned it to the smell of the flesh. They eat meat to satisfy hunger in the stomach.

"Wait, who's there! Get out!"

Arch looked towards the bushes on the side. He stood examining the bushes. Someone just laughed.

"Sir, it looks like he's been attacked."

"Maybe!"

"That, Elf?"

Arch examined the man's ears, pointy ears that no human had signified that he was an elf. It didn't seem like an ordinary elf because the little crown on the head signified she was a member of a wealthy family or something.

"Let's treat him first!"

"I carry a medicated ointment, I will apply it on the injured area."

Not long after the ointment was applied, the elves came to a realization. Severe injuries are now starting to improve and Arch thinks his medication is working.

The ointment he found after mixing the medicine. Arch wanted satisfactory results from the artificial medicinal ointment until he continued to conduct long trials until the ointment was successfully sold by the God family.

"Who are you?"

The elves woke up slowly, the body still not completely improved.

"Anu elf master, the Arch master found you chuckling in the bushes so he helped you."

I feel free, the elves will not thank and leave their helpers without looking back though. They were a nation proud of their identity as elves.

"Then I say thank you for helping me."

The two of them fell silent, unable to believe the words of thanks coming out from the mouth of the elves.

"Well, elves are very unfriendly to other races and show a hostile nature, but you're different, huh?"

"I think it's true, but being arrogant to the person who has helped me is a trait of not knowing yourself.

"Great, that should be the nature of the elves."

Boston praised the elves. Arch felt that something strange could not be explained what an oddity he felt.

"What's your name?"

Boston asked and shook hands to get closer.

"Cade's."

At that time Arch immediately remembered one of the sentences in the novel MCS (Main character story).

'Cade the eldest son of the elf chief, should have he bequeathed the position of chairman, but after the birth of two identical twin sisters made all the changes. Cain is so skilled in fire and plant magic that he is loved by the spirit of the little elf whereas Callie is an expert in political affairs in an instant solving all problems. Seeing the potential of his two younger siblings Cade felt like a failure and all his possessions were snatched away just like that, he only had wind magic that was considered the weakest element.

"Ah, Cade! I understand now."

Arch rubbed his head after recalling the sentence in the novel. Cade was the one who would make his brother a hero for his own sake.

"Seeing from your wound it was a beast attack wasn't it?"

Arch was convinced of a severe attack from a high-leveled beast.

"Giant spiders are invading our territory so I intend to kill the monster."

"And you're hurt?"

Hearing the elf's confession made an idea appear in Arch's mind. He offered to help Cade.

I think a high-leveled monster isn't it, it's very weak when the wind element can easily kill a giant spider. Wait, this is not my chance!

"We're gonna help you just so happen to be doing our job together so what's wrong if we work together."

Arch shook hands. The two of them agreed to this cooperation.

"Sir, are you assigned to the forest to kill spiders?"

Boston asked while whispering to Arch.

"Look at it later, don't bother, yeah!"

"Okay, Mr. Arch."

Boston did a respectful move as if it was a habit for him.

When they finished speaking, a giant spider approached them.

"Be careful, the spider spits out a web of toxins that can make your skin melt."

A warning from Cade makes Boston come forward to protect the Arch. He prepared to pull out the sword from the sheath with the position of the horses perfectly.

"The boston spider has the weakness of cutting off all its legs!"

Boston nodded, immediately he ran at the giant spider. Nets are spewed out continuously until the trees and small animals around melt.

Boston moved agilely through one attack at a time with ease, swinging his sword horizontally until all legs were cut off.

"It's your turn now, Cade!"

"How do I attack with wind magic?"

Arch began teaching Cade how to use his wind element to attack. first focus on imagining a small spot of light in the dark and then try to gather as much mana as possible at that point and imagine a thin sharp object again.

"Thinner, sharper."

Arch is trying to get Cade to focus. Cade moves the hand over a thin but sharp mana like a needle.

After succeeding Cade throws at the spider after Boston moves away. The throw pierced through the giant spider web until it was right eye-to-eye and exploded.

Dead spiders are not left. Cade was surprised by his own attack, he was so happy to know the wind element could execute a great attack.

"Thank you, I didn't expect my attack."

"It's okay, glad to hear it."

Cade carries the spider's corpse as evidence before he leaves Cade bidding on Arch and Boston.

"It's a pity that you're not allowed into our territory, next time let's meet."

"Who said, I'll go with you. Boston went home and told dad that I had completed the mission!"

"I understand sir."

Boston didn't ask any more questions, he had been told in advance that if Arch told him where Boston should go home.

"How did you get into our territory?"

Arch smiled, he transformed into a white bird and flew onto Cade's shoulder.

"Well, can you change too? Do you have shape-shifting magic?"

"Secret."

Arch couldn't tell Cade what magic to use to change form, even if it wasn't actually magic.

"Will no one suspect?"

"Just relax, trust me."

"I believe."

Cade goes carrying the corpse of a spider, he is warmly welcomed by the inhabitants of the other elves. They cheer Cade like a hero who has defeated the disaster.

So this is elf territory! they are almost like humans. In the meantime I'm gonna be watching Cade.
