I still opened my eyes, even though they were asleep. The harshness of the ground I was sleeping on was not the reason I couldn't sleep. The cold night wind is also not the reason I haven't closed my eyes. My body was very tired, but it was still difficult to rest.
My eyes only saw hundreds of stars that were busy shining through the night. The blowing wind made the sound of bushes and trees. This forest would be a creepy place for me if there were no campfires and those two men.
I turned to the west because of a voice. The sound was not the sound of a bush or trees swaying. That voice is not the voice of an animal. I heard footsteps above the dry leaves.
Could it?
"Gear!" I whispered and shook his hands while lying down. There's no way I'm sitting down to wake Eric up, I'm afraid it'll make things worse.
Damn, he never woke up. I took out my dagger and immediately scratched the knife on his skin, he still had not woken up. I also pinched his skin that had been injured by a knife scratch.
"Aww!" He finally realized.
"Eric, wakeup! I think there's someone around us." My whisper.
Eric opened his eyes wide. It also woke Erasmus right next to him, as well as I woke Cassie who was sleeping beside me. It's quite a relief because waking Cassie and Erasmus up is easier than waking Eric up.
"We're surrounded. Come on, let's go!" Bring Erasmus.
An arrow passed us as we started to stand. The second arrow followed and the third arrow managed to scratch my shoulder. Not only that, dozens of arrows came from various directions. Eric cast his magic to fend off the arrow, Erasmus helped fend off the arrow with a swing of his sword.
Eric pulled my hand and we ran through the dark forest. We don't know where we're going and we don't know which direction we're going. All we thought about was running away from the person who pointed an arrow at us.
The arrows continued to chase us. We kept running and ignored the gasping breath. The sweat that comes out of my skin is cold sweat. My palms started shaking and sweating. It was terrifying to be chased by dozens of arrows.
"Why don't we attack him?" Cassie asked with a shout.
"We're surrounded! Their army is too many." Erasmus replied with his shout.
Eric stopped, and so did Cassie. Eric immediately fended off all the arrows that came at us with his magic after he escorted me to take cover behind a tree. Cassie begins to point arrows at the enemy from behind a tree.
I can't keep quiet and keep asking for protection. I only have a dagger in my pocket. My eyeballs kept moving in search of weapons, I begged fate that I would soon get weapons to protect them. But my eyes only saw a stone. Yes, there are many stones that are the size of my fist.
I took the rocks. I chose a stone that was the size of a handful of my hands with a rough surface. Even though I only collected nine rocks, I at least helped them.
"You're crazy!" Erasmus showed up and blocked me.
"What crazy means is to let them die." I repay.
I saw some people approaching them with their swords. Eric's magic is countered by magic, and several of his opponents attempt to attack Eric with a sword. Cassie kept attacking them with her arrows and bow, even though she was fighting a sword and dozens of arrows.
"I can't just stand by and watch them!" I yelled at Erasmus.
"Go!" Eric snapped when he saw me.
I threw the stone at one of the witches who attacked Eric. The stone hit the man's head, his head was injured and he was unconscious. I succeeded!
The two men came up to me and the steps were getting closer. My trembling body was unable to take the stone. Step by step and now the man with the red eyeballs is in front of me.
I saw Eric and Cassie were busy with their guns. Erasmus was invisible, even his shadow. It is hard to believe he was a king. The man was right in front of me and pointed both of his palms at my head. The man played magic!
I immediately swung my knife towards his neck. Stabbing the left side of his neck and his blood spurted like water coming out of a water tap, very heavy. I quickly pointed my left elbow at his chest. The man fell down and my clothes were covered in blood.
They don't take my treatment easily. My heart was beating faster as I saw three foreign men approaching me. I immediately threw the stone at them, but they managed to fend off the stone with magic. I continued to throw the stone, again and again until the stone in my arms had run out.
"Run!" Cassie shouted as she turned her head for a moment towards me. I can't escape without them.
With trembling hands, I immediately bent down and searched for rocks around the legs. Nothing in a second, they started attacking me with small rocks that he pointed at with magic.
I just get the little pebbles. I threw all the pebbles I had at them. However, free. They continued to deflect the rocks with magic and attacked me with other rocks.
They kept stepping up to get to me. I turned towards Eric who was trying to get to me, but several witches kept attacking him.
Cassie ran to me. He continued to point the arrows but they turned back towards him because of the magic of the witches before him. He can't save me. In fact, two arrows hit his right thigh and one arrow scratched his right wrist. Cassie also rested, she tried to endure the pain and still tried to play her arrows.
There is no choice but to face them in a cool style like on television. One right hand from the left hand of the leading man leads to me. I immediately pulled the man's right hand. Twisted the man's arm so hard that both of their eyes widened. He pointed his forearm back and his shoulder in the opposite direction. The man started screaming. My right knee immediately kicked the abdomen. One kick is enough, or I'll kill two witches in one night.
One witch approached me from behind. He kicked my back until my heart felt almost loose and felt tight
"Shut up or I'll make you paralyzed forever."
I tried not to cry and tried to look at them with an angry look. I kept attacking them with pebbles even though I knew it was free. I can't physically attack her, it'll get worse if my head is touched by a witch.
"Hi, someone misses you so much." The man started talking to me as he was right in front of me.
A splash of blood on my face. The witch's stomach in front of me had been pierced by the sword I had seen so often. I saw Erasmus stabbing the man in the stomach in front of me. He immediately attacked two other men. Within seconds, he managed to protect me and get rid of the witch. Why hasn't he done it since?
Erasmus' green eyes looked like green light coming out of his eyes. He looked at a tree, I didn't understand what he was doing. Before long the tree's roots extend and bind the entire bodies of the witches who attacked Eric and Cassie.
Erasmus left us when the situation was safe. All the witches he managed to bind with would be trees, dry leaves scattered on the ground filled all the mouths of witches to keep them quiet. He also threw his sword on the ground. All the witches Erasmus managed to get rid of were quickly unharmed.
