RED EYES

The morning sunlight that blinded my eyes woke me up. The rooms are not familiar, but this place is not Dark Point. I was in the palace of Wiender, in my room.

I stepped closer to the window. My eyes looked around the palace. Seen a barren forest from a distance, thank goodness not so broad. The Garde also looks to have been active normally.

"Queen, you're conscious. It's breakfast time." A palace ladyboy entered my room.

The queen? Why does he call me that. It feels so weird. I'm not the Queen of Wiender and I realize I'm not at Dark Point.

"The king is waiting at the dinner table, Queen." I just nodded. Too weak to ask questions.

I did not change my clothes and immediately stepped in with the palace ladies. He led me to a different place. Not the dining room I used to go to when I was here. What a strange thing that happened suddenly.

"You're sober?" Erasmus is in front of me.

He was wearing a crown on his head and a robe that looked the same as the robe that the previous king wore, I saw in all the photos of king Wiender. I smiled, I began to understand what was happening right now.

"Congratulations to your throne." I said, as his friend.

Erasmus held my right hand with his left. We walked side by side, Erasmus asked that the guards and maids not follow us. I don't know where I'm going to be taken.

Step by step led us to a door. Erasmus opened the door and it looked like a bedroom. I don't know whose room it is.

"Come in!" Pinta Erasmus slowly.

My eyes grew and I wanted to cry. I'm very relieved that he's alive even though he's just lying down. I did leave a sense of guilt to Cassie, quite relieved to know she was alive.

"He was asleep. We tried to treat it with potions. Now he is conscious and able to blink his eyes. He also hears and understands what we say."

"Then?" My toot.

"We'll do our best for her." Erasmus Reply.

"What about Eric?" I asked quickly.

"We've returned the lost witches to earth, where you once were. Garde's job there has made sure no memory is left in their heads. I also made them one family by slightly manipulating their memories. I-"

"My mom?" My question cuts through Erasmus' words.

"Being ashes with the diamonds."

"Wiender asks that you be queen. Will you be a wife"

"I want to take your promise."

My request cuts out the sentence he said. I knew what he was going to say, I tried to avoid that sentence.

"Is it too hard to deal with all this?" Erasmus asked me.

His eyes started looking at me deeply. That look made me unable to look him in the face. I hope there's no sadness in my best friend's face.

"It was just that I fought my heart to leave my real mother, Eric and Dark Point. You have to go against your heart if you know that the choice your heart makes is a big mistake. Everything I do is because I expect the truth to win and I don't want Cassie and Eric's sacrifice to go to waste." I'm explaining.

The silence between us was filled only by the sound of the clockwork of the walls and the song of birds. It's too hard to be honest if I don't want to be on Wiender any longer. I also know that Erasmus does not want me to continue my words.

"This time I decided to follow my heart. Let me start my new life. I want Cassie to walk again and I want to find Eric. I love Wiender, but this isn't my home." I'm proceeding.

"Can't you start your new life here?" Ask Erasmus.

"There's no reason for me to be here, Erasmus. You already know that I married Eric and I promised to look for him when he lost me from his memory. Can you still think that I would be the wife of someone who thrust a sword at my mother?"

I also walked away from Erasmus. I stepped slowly to get out of this room. I tried to hold back my tears.

"If you answer my question, then I will keep my promise."

Erasmus' voice stopped my steps even though I didn't look him in the eye anymore. Just down.

"You love Eric?" He asks.

"Yes, but I don't hate you. It's just that there's a wound running through my memory every time I see you."

A portal opened and Erasmus dripped his blood in front of the portal. I stepped up and took Cassie in a wheelchair. Erasmus kept all his promises. He gave me his crappy car and the gold chunks for me and Cassie.

Erasmus waved his hand and I replied to the wave. The portal closed and we split up.
