The next day, Subhan woke up from his sleep.
Upon awakening, Subhan felt a sense of heat in his body.
There was a huge desire in his heart,
"It feels like I don't feel at home in this village" Subhan murmured inwardly.
His eyes glared upwards. The roof of his house looks hollow and if the rain arrives, his room is always a subscription to leak.
"Grandma, I'm hungry" Subhan called his grandmother.
"Oh, you're awake apparently"
"Come, here son"
"Grandmother has prepared food for you" said Subhan's grandmother.
Subhan immediately got out of his room, and went to the kitchen.
Looks like the food is on the table.
Without a second thought, Subhan immediately devoured the food by himself. Grandma and Grandpa are still in the backyard.
"Hem, enjoy this meal"
"I want to eat better food than this later"
"But, to get that, I need to be able to cross the river that still surrounds my village" Subhan thought wishfully.
It seemed that Subhan's wishful thinking of leaving the village was getting bigger. In the end, Subhan asked his grandmother for permission to go to the village across the river.
"Sir, I want to go to the next village" Subhan told his grandmother
Hearing Subhan's request for permission, Subhan's grandmother showed a dislike face.
"Don't kid"
"You don't try to get out of this village"
"Look at your mom and dad"
"Your mother went away from this village after giving birth to you"
"Until you turn 10 years old, he never returned to this village" Subhan's grandmother advised Subhan.
"But, is that mom?"
"If I were, I would be back in the village soon if the battery had been suskes in the next village"
"It's been 10 years that I can't interact with anyone else, other than just my grandmother, grandfather and my friend Sutikno"
"The village chief and the other residents seem to be always busy going to the rice fields"
"I've heard from some villagers, if in the next village there are many performances there" Subhan said.
"Son, you better follow Grandma's advice"
"Here, you're happy with your grandparents"
"Look, grandparents can support you even when we're old"
"I'm sure you'll be at home in this village when you're old" Subhan's grandmother told Subhan.
Hearing his grandmother's words, Subhan was silent. Subhan repeatedly expressed his wish to his grandmother, but his grandmother never gave him permission to leave the village.
And so was his grandfather. It was as if Subhan had not the slightest gap to leave the village.
One day, right during the day, as usual, Subhan went to play next to the river that was considered haunted by the villagers.
Of course, when playing next to the river, Subhan always went with Sutikno.
"Sutikno, what if we secretly cross this river?"
"I was curious about the atmosphere across the river" Subhan told Sutikno.
"Well, you're really Subhan"
"Look, the river is very heavy"
"I'm afraid we're being eaten by the crocodile waiting for the river" Sutikno said, showing a very scared face.
"Hey, where's the crocodile here?" ask Subhan curiously
"We're the same age, but apparently, you know more about this river than I do" Subhan said suspiciously.
"When, we always play together and I don't see you playing with anyone other than me" Subhan said
Sutikno's face was slightly different when Subhan said so.
