Until one day, the sound of gamelan gets louder and Subhan sees the crowd around the river. The usually quiet place becomes crowded and a long path leads to a place that looks beautiful from a distance.
"Sutikno, the place looks good"
"I want to go there" Subhan said as he observed the direction of the path.
Sutikno seemed to dislike the words of Subhan who wanted to invite him to go to that place.
"Don't Subhan"
"Look"
"The river is very heavy"
"If you cross that path, you can't go back to the village" Sutikno warned Subhan
"Well, but, I see a lot of people passing through this river"
"This river is so bright"
"Are there any who are doing the show across the street, and make way for us to go there?" subhan asked curiously
"It's subhan"
"Don't force yourself"
"Better, we go home soon" said Sutikno as he pulled Subhan's hand away from the river bank.
"Again Sutikno"
"You can't be scolded by your mother"
"Look, the river's flowing a little quiet"
"A lot of people crossed there" Subhan said, pointing to the figure of villagers who went across the river.
Villagers seemed to be flocking to go across the river. Subhan was astonished because usually the river was quiet and no one dared to cross.
Seeing Subhan tempted to cross the river following some people on the riverbank, Sutikno deftly pulled Subhan's hand so as not to go there.
"Brukkk"
Subhan fell and his head was bleeding.
"Sutikno, why are you pulling my body?" subhan asked a little annoyed
"Subhan, you have to trust me"
"Later, if your raft's up, we're off together"
"How's it?" tanya Sutikno gave her a brilliant idea
"Well, all right"
"But you promised to accompany me?"
"We don't need your grandmother's or your mother's permission"
"I don't want our plan to fail just because of this"
"I just want to cross the river for a minute"
"Later I will go straight back after seeing what the village across the street is like" Subhan told Sutikno
Sutikno only nodded his head without saying much more. It seems that Sutikno is hiding a great secret from Subhan.
Finally, with a gontai step, Subhan and Sutikno return to their homes. On the night of returning home, Subhan turned his head towards the river and the situation became pitch-black, and just like Awal he was there.
"Well, Sutikno"
"Look"
"Nobody's here"
"Some seconds ago, there were still a lot of people here"
"Why did his situation suddenly become desolate again?" subhan asked Sutikno
Sutikno simply fell silent and pulled Subhan's hand away away from that river. Sutikno's eyes seemed to be staring blankly at the road. Not many words were spoken in Sutikno's mouth.
When subhan and sutikno separated at a crossroads, Sutikno gave advice to subhan
"Subhan, when you get home, never tell your grandmother or grandfather this" Sutikno told Subhan
"Well, why?" subhan asked curiously
"That's it"
"for this time, if you consider me a friend, you should never tell me anything about what you see" Sutikno said
This time Sutikno's gaze was a little cruel and sharp. As if forcing Subhan to follow his advice
