CHAPTRE 001

An inter-city bus, the bus was not much and also not empty of passengers. Jack sat in the middle of the bus, leaned back in his chair and looked out the window on his left.

Jack wears casual shoes in the style of young people today, and uses a black hoodie, jeans, and listening to music using his headset.

The inter-city bus continued to walk through the beautiful scenery. Mountains, rice fields, fields, and green trees are all along the way.

Three hours passed. At exactly 12pm, the bus finally reached the New York terminal. Some passengers began to leave their seats, while Jack waited until all the passengers were down.

After all the passengers got off the bus, Jack then got off the bus and picked up his suitcase and bag in the trunk.

Three gunshots were heard from the terminal, not far from where Jack was.

A pickpocket runs because the police are after him. The pickpocket runs towards Jack and accidentally hits Jack, causing the bag to fall.

“WOI!!” Jack shouted in annoyance.

Everyone in the terminal started to panic and get scared as some policemen carried guns and chased the running pickpocket.

Some people squatted down and lay down, fearing that the bullet would hit him.

Jack simply ignored the incident and immediately opened his bag, looking at his laptop that was inside the bag.

Bad luck befell Jack upon his arrival in the city. When Jack opens his laptop, he sees the screen of his laptop that has been broken, because of the thugs.

“Sial!” jack looked very upset.

In front of the terminal Jack tried to turn on his laptop, but he could not see anything, because the LCD of the laptop had been damaged.

*CRYING!!!!

Jack's phone rang. When he saw his phone, it was Jack's girlfriend who called that day. Jack immediately raised the call.

“Halo, Jane!” greet Jack. Jack's girlfriend is named Jane.

“Halo, Darling. Have you arrived?” Jane greeted back and asked Jack.

“Gosh, Goddamn thugs,” said Jack who accidentally because still upset because a thug made his laptop damaged.

“What problem is there? You seem upset,” asked Jane.

“What? Oh that. It'sit's nothing. Just forget it. Why'd you call me? Aren't you at work? Did your boss let you call?”

“Hahaha. It'sit's okay. I was out of the office taking care of something. Maybe I'll go out of town for a while to finish my job.”

“You're in service out of town?” ask Jack.

“Yes, that's it. I had a meeting and met some reporters about a new program that I was going to run.” explained Jane.

“Oh, is that it?”

“Yes. Baby, it's been a while, yeah. I'll hang up and call you back later. Chest!” jane said, hanging up her phone.

It seems like Jane is very busy because of her job.

Jack went back to pocketing his phone and put his laptop back in the bag.

Not far from the terminal, there is a building that contains several electronic device stores, and provides a service place.

The building is very crowded with visitors who are choosing electronic devices.

“There can I help?” ask the shopkeeper to Jack who is standing in front of his shop.

Jack opened the bag, pulled out his laptop.

“I want to fix my laptop. It broke not badly, but evenly across all screens,” explained Jack to the store owner.

Jack showed his laptop to the store owner, as well as the store owner who immediately saw the condition of the laptop.

“Gosh. Although not too severe, but all the screens become cracked. Maybe this will cost about two hundred dollars,” explained the store owner.

“Two hundred dollars?” jack asked, surprised by that.

“Yes. Of course.”

“Why is it so expensive? This just breaks the screen. I'm sure the engine is still working fine. Is replacing the screen that expensive?” Jack continued to protest hearing of his high service fees.

“Jeez, Young man. It's been very cheap. In an official service place, you'll be charged three hundred dollars, maybe even more. You can't divulge this to anyone,” whispered the store owner.

“Because you're young. I'll give you a discount. You can pay one hundred and eighty dollars. How?” the store owner made an offer to Jack.

“Aduh!!” pissed Jack. “Good. Please make sure the laptop is working properly. I need it most.”

“Good. You don't have to worry. I'll make your laptop look like new again. You can put your phone number here, and I'll call you after I fix it.”

The store owner gave a note containing his name and phone number.

After giving his phone number, Jack left the store.

Still not believing the price mentioned by the store owner, Jack secretly went to another store and asked one of the employees who was checking the laptop.

“Excuse me, Mas. What is the price of repairing a damaged laptop LCD?”

“How many inches your laptop?” the employee asked without looking at Jack and kept checking the laptop in front of him.

“Perhaps about fifteen inches,” replied Jack.

“Two hundred dollars. However, if you pay him in cash, I will give you one hundred and fifty dollars,” is obviously an employee who still does not look. Focus on checking the laptop.

Hearing the answer from the employee, Jack immediately left, because the price is still not much different.

Jack walked in lethargic. A long road not far from the bus terminal.

A coffee shop was at the end of the street, right at the last intersection. Jack, tired from walking, finally decided to stop and buy coffee at the tavern.

The coffee shop with classic nuances looks very unique and neat. With an old building and some faded wall paint, as well as some artificial moss, it makes the shop look even more unique.

Students who are working on assignments, high school students who have just returned from school, and young people who are drunk with romance.

They all enjoyed his order at the unique coffee shop.

Jack went to the cashier and ordered an Americano ice pack. Moments after his order was ready, Jack looked for a seat in the empty tavern.

Jack sat in the corner of the room close to the window. From his seat Jack can see the adults who dissolve in his busy life.

Jack pulled out his phone and put his headset back on. It opens up a platform to find the costs it will occupy.

Occasionally seeing some hostels, Jack enjoys the Americano ice he has ordered.
