SALOKA RESIDENCE

SALOKA RESIDENCE
CHAPTRE 002

Jack saw some empty boarding houses that had been rented by their owners on the platform.

When he saw the room he liked, Jack immediately contacted the owner of the boarding house and went to his location.

Because Jack did not bring and own a vehicle, and the cost of a taxi is not cheap, Jack decided to rent a motorcycle that he will use for a while.

With a fifty-dollar rental price, Jack could rent the bike within a month. It's a very cheap price than Jack has to take a taxi wherever he goes.

At the first boarding house he visited, Jack met directly with the owner of the boarding house to see the room and negotiate.

The owner of the boarding house was an adult woman in her late thirties. The hostess greeted Jack kindly and let him in. Look at the empty rooms.

They both walked in the hallway of the room, with the owner of the boarding house showing the way.

“His room is at the end, on the 2nd floor. The room is soundproof, quiet, and also very clean. The window in the room also faces a highway that allows you to see everyone doing their activities.”

The owner of the boarding house climbed the stairs followed by Jack who saw the rooms that were filled with residents.

From the outside and the hallway, the boarding house does look very clean and neat. Some well-groomed flowers and plants make the atmosphere outside the cost look even neater.

They both finally reached the very end of the room. One of the remaining rooms with room conditions are quite clean and good.

“Disini. Here's room. You can feel the sunlight coming in from the window and close the windows and curtains, if you don't want that,” explained the owner of the boarding house.

When he saw the room, Jack was quite happy because the place was very clean with black white sheets, and equipped with AC, TV, and bathroom inside, which made the room look more aesthetic.

“How much is the rental price, Kak?” ask Joko to the owner of the room.

“Six hundred dollars, but if you pay it directly for a year, I can give you a discount of thirty percent.”

Jack was surprised to hear the price was very expensive. Plus he just moved out of a small town. He should arrange and as much as possible to save his expenses.

“Gosh. Why so expensive. Though this room is very good,” murmured Jack in heart.

With such facilities, in a fairly large city, it was a very reasonable and reasonable price.

Because Jack did not have enough money, Jack finally decided to go and look for other costs.

Jack sat on his bike and re-opened the platform that provided the cost in the city.

After getting some owner numbers, Jack finally went to the nearest place.

In the second boarding that Jack came to, Jack was again welcomed by the owner of the boarding house. The owner of the boarding house was a middle-aged man with grayed hair and wearing minus glasses.

The owner of the boarding house again showed me the remaining room. The room was as clean as the first room, but not equipped with AC, and a small TV.

When Jack asked, the owner said that the price ranged from 400 to 500 dollars.

Since Jack thought the rent was still expensive, he ended up leaving the place.

Jack walked out of the place lethargic, for he had not rested at all, since he had come to New York.

Due to his tired condition, Jack goes to a simple food stall to fill his empty stomach.

At the diner, Jack ordered potluck food, only to stuff his stomach.

In between enjoying the food, Jack held back and looked at his phone, opening an application platform that provided a cost.

Jack put down his spoon when he saw a room with a rental fee of 200 dollars per month. On the platform of the cost provider application, listed the name of the cost and the number that can be contacted.

Without a second thought, Jack called the owner to ask about the boarding room.

“Halo. Can I help you?” A woman's voice answered Jack's call.

“I was looking for a boarding house, then found this number on a platform. Are there any rooms that are empty?”

“Of course,” answers.

Jack was so happy to hear the news.

“Is the rental price right only 200 dollars per month?” ask Jack back make sure.”

“Ya, you're right.”

“Jeez, okay. I'll be there soon.”

“Sure. See you.”

“Thank you, Mistress.”

Jack immediately turned off his phone and finished the new meal he had eaten two mouthfuls.

At exactly five in the afternoon, Jack arrived at the boarding location that had been on his phone since noon.

Jack stopped the bike, parked it in a motorcycle parking lot.

The location of the boarding house is on the edge of the city and adjoins the building, and other shophouses that are in that place.

An old building with a large banner attached and inscribed, SALOKA RESIDENT.

Seeing from the same name, Jack is sure that that is the cost that has a rental price of 200 dollars per month.

A few minutes Jack stood up and stared at the old building that looked so seedy.

“Gosh. Looks like I can't stay in a place like this,” muttered Jack inwardly.

Jack immediately complained when he saw the condition of the building that was very unkempt.

As he was about to go and look for another place, Jack thought, There can be no other cost that gives the cheapest price, and maybe only that cost that provides it.

With a heavy heart, Jack had to accept the situation. Jack pulled down the suitcase tied to his rear motorbike, then rushed into the old building.

The old building has three floors, with the first floor filled with shophouses that have long been unused, the 2nd floor with several boarding rooms, and the 3rd floor is the most rooftop for drying clothes.

Jack climbed the stairs and headed for the 2nd floor. He lifted his heavy suitcase up the stairs one by one.

The stairs looked very dark that afternoon, but Jack just continued his steps.

Arriving on the 2nd floor, Jack sees a large door filled with ball posters and some other strange writings.

He opened the door and went inside. Inside, there is a reception room next to the entrance.

But no one was seen in that place. The second floor of the boarding house forms the letter T with rooms facing each other in each hallway.

Jack continued his steps down the hallways of the room that looked like a haunted house.

The place looks less clean, and unlike other boarding places. Maybe because the price is quite affordable, so the cost owner does not want to take care of the building.
