Evening came late afternoon. All the employees in Mike's office are eating and drinking beer together at a small Asian restaurant.
Everyone is joking and cheers each other, except for Jack.
She sat next to Kim and just daydreamed while enjoying a few snacks and a canned beer.
Half an hour passed. They had finished all the food, then left the restaurant.
“Thank you all! Thank you for your hard work!” mike said outside the restaurant.
“Sure, Sir!” nick Sahut
“Yes, equally, sir. Treat us like this often. Hahahahah,” says Kim.
“Since you got in here, you've been working so hard, Jack. You're pretty great.” Nick holds Jack's shoulders running the very back of the other employees.
“Thanks, Sir.” Jack smiled and nodded at Nick,
“You should pay good attention to Jack. He's been trying his hardest for it, hasn't he, Mr Winson?” continued Nick.
“Yes, that's right. He was great,” said Mike who was a little drunk.
“Do you want round two? If you want, we just need to turn around and get through that alley. It was a place we went to at the time. There will probably be a lot of people there,” Kim said.
Looks like Kim still wants to drink beer. He looks very strong than the others and continues to invite other employees for the second round.
An old lady of a florist approached those who were walking over the sidewalk.
“Buy this flower, Mr.” The florist lady offered the roses to Winson who was walking by the side of the road. “I don't want to!” winson ketus. Winson walked quickly forward so that the woman would not force him.
“Gosh. Let's just say you bought this to help people who are in trouble,” said the old lady florist.
“Please me, Young Man.” The flower-seller woman asked Jack who was walking the very back to buy her rose.
“How much does it cost, Aunty?” ask Jack. “50 dollars, Son,” replied The florist. “50 dollars?” Jack took out his wallet and took some money.”
“Do you want to give it to your girlfriend, Jack?” ask Kim who stopped too. Jack bought the old grandmother's flowers.
“Not really. I just remember my aunt in Chicago. She was the one who took care of me since childhood, and also a street vendor, like this granny,” Jack replied.
“This, Grandma.” Jack gave the 50 dollars to the Grandma of the Florist. “Thank you very much, Son. May god bless you.” The grandmother then walked away.
“Look, Jack is really very good,” Kim muttered to Mike. “Wah, you're right. He's a good boy,” said Nick. They continued their steps when Jack got the rose.
“Hmm. I should have also bought one for my mother,” Kim said after seeing the florist had gone far away from her place.
“You don't have to feel sorry, Kim. It's possible that the old granny got on with her car when she left here,” Mike chirped. “Gosh. You can't be like that, sir,” said Nick.
“Sister, this is for you. You can take it if you want.” Jack gave the rose to Kim, hearing that Kim wanted to buy it for his mother.
Kim paused his steps and received a rose from Jack. “Are you sure? You gave it to me, Jack?” ask Kim. “Ya, sure. Don't you want to give it to your mother?” jack continued his steps.
They all continued to walk through the narrow alleys and headed elsewhere for the second round.
In a narrow alley they paused for a moment and talked about where they were going.
“Good. It looks like it's still very late afternoon. What if we went to a place last week, a place we failed to visit. The place is very spacious and has many variants of beer and alcohol?” said Kim.
“Wah, that place is too old-fashioned. We better go to the bar,” said Mike. “Well, there it is. Let's have a drink at the bar,” said Nick who then left.
“Gosh. You old man. Your taste is very bad. What a good place it is,” said Kim, who was upset that everyone did not approve of his recommendation place.
“Originally you know, Jack.” Kim approaches Jack and Winson who is walking behind Jack.
“I always eat out with the old man. I'm glad that you're young and joining us, at least I'm not the youngest here.”
Jack just nodded and returned a small smile.
From behind, Winson was annoyed to see Kim so attentive to Jack. He walked quickly and grabbed Jack by the shoulder. Jack just shut up and ignored Winson.
“You can go first, I'll talk to Jack,” said Mike who walked ahead.
After everything was gone, Mike and Jack were talking four-eyes in the quiet alley.
“Gosh. If there was no Kim, we would have gone to a better place. Her taste is very strange. We can have fun with men. Isn't that right, Jack?” said Mike.
Jack just kept quiet and lowered his head.
Mike approached Jack, embraced and said, “Hey, what do you think of Kim, Jack?” “What?” ask Jack in surprise.
“It seems he likes you, I can see it from Kim's eyes. She was so happy, when you gave her flowers.”
“Jeez, Brother. Whatchu mean? I've got Jane, and it looks like Miss Kim isn't that kind of person.”
“Gosh, you're being serious again. I was just kidding Jack. Change that habit of yours. You have to distinguish where to joke and where to be serious,” said Mike annoyed.
“Which way, what do you want to talk to me about? Why did you send me a message from Whatsapp, when you just called me,” continued Mike.
“Begini, Brother. Can I stay at your place for this week only?” ask Jack a little. “Many strange things happened in SALOKA RESIDENT lately.”
“Wah, I'm sorry Jack. Looks like I can't. I have a job this weekend too. Don't you know, actually I don't accept guests at all.”
“Why? What else happened in that place? What other weird thing are you going through there?”
“All the residents there are very strange. I just felt really upset when I was and met all the residents there.”
“Hmm. Looks like I can't help you this time, Jack. I'm sorry,” said Mike. “Look, do you want to stay in a motel for a few days? I'll give you a little money.”
“Not necessary, Brother. That would make me even more upset. All right, then. I will try to be patient again,” Jack said.
“Alright, let's go. Everyone may have gotten to the spot for the second round,” said Mike who left Jack.
