SALOKA RESIDENCE

SALOKA RESIDENCE
CHAPTRE 055

That same day, Rose went to the National Forensic Agency, carrying a syringe that he found in SALOKA RESIDENT.

He was very suspicious of the syringe, as he found it in a gutter near the building.

Before that, Rose checks CCTV owned by TOCERBA near the building, and sees John's car, one of the missing detectives, parked near the gutter, before he disappears.

Unbeknownst to her superiors, Rose went to the National Forensics Agency to examine the DNA of the syringe.

Rose went straight to her aunt who works there, and asked for help to see the DNA and fingerprints on the syringe.

Moments later, Aunt Rose had managed to identify and analyze the syringe.

They both sat in the room and talked about it further.

“There are no fingerprints I found on this syringe. Looks like he's wearing gloves. However, I managed to find the DNA that was inside there.” Aunt Rose gave the syringe back to Rose.

“DNA?” ask Rose. “Yes, DNA. I don't think it belongs to Detective John. Sit down, Rose.” “Ya, alright.” Rose sat down with her aunt to receive further explanations.

“Not fully I'm sure of this, but, the drug that's inside the syringe is a local anesthetic named CODELINE.”

Rose picked up a notebook and began writing an explanation from her aunt.

“Most of the drugs are used by some doctors who are in the city even in the country. Compared with other anesthetics, this drug works faster.”

“Rose, aren't you afraid, if your boss finds out about this? If your boss finds out, you'll get disciplinary punishment.” “I know, Aunty,” replied Rose. “Why are you doing this, Rose?”

“Aibi! Would you believe everything I said, if I told you?” “Tell me first, Rose. I'll listen to it.”

Rose sighed and started to tell stories.

“So, originally it was a puppy. Once every two days, there must be a dead cat. At that time I felt, it was similar to the beginning of a murder case three months ago.”

“Next, a foreign worker has disappeared, in the same place, SALOKA RESIDENT.”

“I met and met someone who lives in that building. He's as suspicious as I am now. He also said that Detective John had met him.”

“The resident also said that Detective John was looking for his acquaintance who also disappeared while living there. However, Detective John disappeared suddenly after that.”

“There is another one that disappeared, a total of two people lost.”

“Then do you suspect the man who killed the puppy?” ask Aunt Rose.

“At first I thought so too, but, the more I investigated SALOKA RESIDENT, I found out a lot of strange things were happening.

“The owner of the building used to manage the orphanage. After the fire disaster struck out later, he took insurance, then disappeared without news at that time.”

“Three people who live in that orphanage, they now live together in SALOKA RESIDENT.”

“Together? Wow, that was weird,” said Aunt Rose. “Yes, of course. That's very strange. So I investigated it secretly.”

“Then you feel this is not the act of one man.” “Ya, exactly like that, Bibi.”

“If I don't investigate and stop him, there might be more dead people.”

“It seems, you can't stop it, Rose. What if you leave it with a more experienced Detective?”

Rose shook her head and, “There's no time left, Auntie. Before it's too late, I have to stop it.”

***

He just stood up and daydreamed, after a day spent outside.

At that time, Mike came to SALOKA RESIDENT in his SUV.

Mike got out of the car and walked towards Jack who was standing and daydreaming.

“Jack! Why did you just come home at this hour, when you've been away from the office since morning.”

“How do you know this place?” ask Jack ketus. “Of course I asked, Jane,” replied Mike casually.

Jack was upset to hear Mike's answer. As if he didn't feel guilty.

“Alright, let's have a drink. We have to clear up this misunderstanding, Jack.”

“What misunderstandings? You met my boyfriend without my knowledge? You call that a misunderstanding?” Jack looked at Mike intently.

“Gosh. Open it up, Jack. Jane was so worried about you, I just asked her not to worry.  You'll get hurt again if you find out, so, Jane asked me to keep it a secret.”

Mike continued to reason even though he himself did not want to invite Jack at that time.

“Jeez, why are you thinking only of yourself. You're so selfish, Jack.”

Jack grew increasingly emotional and continued to look at Mike with his horrible look.

“Already, Jack. Follow me. Let's find a bar near here.”

Finally Jack followed Mike and headed to the bar near the SALOK RESIDENT building.

Arriving at the small bar, Mike ordered some beer and alcohol and some other food dishes, then sat at the table with Jack feeling uncomfortable from the start.

They wait for food while enjoying beer and alcohol, with Mike still trying to get him to talk.

“Jack! Have you been with you lately? Suddenly he fights and breaks Winson's keyboard. Why would you do that, Jack? Just tell me, Jack. What's the problem?”

Mike pours alcohol into Jack's glass and counsels him slowly.

“You will often meet people like Winson in the community later. Even at the office, you can't meet people you only like.”

Jack remained silent and turned his face away.

“I know you got into a lot of trouble while you were in New York. You can't live by caring about every little thing. You're just gonna give up on that fool? Leave it alone, Jack.”

“You don't have to think about it too deeply. You must have had a purpose when you came to New York. You have to focus on your goals.”

“Gosh. I say this because I consider you like my own sibling.”

“Well, there it is. Come here, Jane.” Mike invited Jane to the place.

Jack is shocked and sees Jane walking into the bar.

“I called him here because it looks like you misunderstood.” “Come. Sit next to you, Jack,” Mike told Jane.

“Jane?” Jack greeted Jane who was walking and sat next to him.

“What's up, honey? Said you were fighting with an office guy,” Jane said worriedly and looking at Jack's condition, holding Jack's head and shoulders.

Jack just kept quiet and lowered his head.
