Azam Who Gets Challenged Duel from Doni
"Oy, let's have a match" the teenage boy told Azam in a loud voice. Azam immediately sprayed the drinking water that was in his mouth, as he was very surprised by the sudden challenge.
Azam looked at the teenage boy in front of him who was coming down from the horse. She searches in her memory if she ever met the teenager, but after a while, Azam gives up on not recognizing the teenager.
"Anu, who are you?" azam asked politely, so as not to cause trouble with the teenager.
"Hmph, my name is Doni. I want to win you a duel" said the teenage boy who introduced himself.
"Well, I'm Azam. Doni, right? Why are you challenging me?" ask Azam to Doni.
"I want to challenge you to a horse-riding duel. The loser has to stay away from this beautiful woman" said Doni. He then turned his gaze towards the surprised Vanessa as well.
"Me?" vanessa asked as she pointed to herself.
"Yes, you. What's your name beautiful?" Doni knelt on one knee in front of Vanessa, then he asked in a soft voice.
Vanessa turned to Azam and looked at him with begging eyes. Azam let out a long sigh, he got up and stood between Vanessa and Doni.
"What are you doing?" asked Doni in an unhappy voice.
"stand. Explain why you're doing all this? Have you been rejected by a girl? Or because you are immortal? Or because..." Azam stopped, because he did not know what else to say.
"Stop, stop!!" yelled Doni loudly. He was ashamed of what Azam said because there was truth there.
"Have it, explain it," Azam said in a calm voice.
Doni immediately stood up, he looked at Azam with a fierce gaze and said, "Hmph, does a man need a reason to fall in love with a beautiful woman?"
"Well, that means you like Vanessa for being beautiful," Azam replied with a long sigh.
"Oh, so her name is Vanessa?" Doni touched his chin and looked at Vanessa from top to bottom.
"Let's have your eyes, Doni," Azam said in a cold voice while blocking Doni's view with his body.
"Then let's duel!" doni shouted furiously as Azam was blocking him.
"I can't today. How about tomorrow, at the same time and place?" said Azam after thinking for a moment. He needed to give the editor today, so couldn't duel with Doni.
"Hmph, okay. Just be careful if you run away" said Doni arrogantly. Then he rode his horse and went with his friends.
Azam and Vanessa saw them off. Azam let out a long sigh, as he thought that he was involved in a troublesome matter.
"Azam, I'm sorry" said Vanessa regretfully. He regretted that Doni had invited Azam's duel because of him.
"Huh? Just relax, Van. I might also be rich Doni, because you are so beautiful" Azam said with a bright smile that embarrassed Vanessa.
"You!!" vanessa responded by glaring at Azam, her face also turning red from embarrassment.
After the incident, they were not in the mood to continue riding. The students around also looked towards them, they became uncomfortable with the gazes of the students around.
So, they decided to leave. Azam couldn't find Zaidan, so he chatted. Since it was still noon, they decided to have lunch first at the restaurant.
As before, the atmosphere became awkward. Azam let out a long sigh from dizziness. Azam cleared his throat loudly to distract Vanessa and Devina.
"Ekhem. Devina, you want to go home?" asked Azam with a smile.
"No, I want to eat" Devina replied as she shook her head.
"Oh, it just so happens that we are the same" Azam replied. He was about to say something, but Vanessa already said quickly.
"How about we have lunch together?" take Vanessa to Devina. Of course, Devina was stunned by Vanessa's invitation.
"OKAY. You guys got on the bike, right? Just get in my car" said Devina, throwing her car keys at Azam, who was still stunned.
"Azam, come on," said Vanessa, opening the back door, as did Devina.
"Uh? Excuse me, ladies?" Azam sighed helplessly, then he got into the car at the driver's side.
Azam entered the car keys, started the car engine, and immediately stepped on the gas pedal. He immediately drove the car to a restaurant a little away from the University of Indonesia.
Along the way was not as awkward as Azam thought. Vanessa and Devina chatted casually, as if they were long-time friends. Even Azam was stunned by the development of their relationship.
Vanessa also told of the incident earlier, about Azam who was challenged by a duel by Doni. Devina was shocked when she heard it, because she knew Doni.
"Azam, are you going to duel with Doni?" devina asked hesitantly.
"Hm? Yep. Is something wrong?" asked Azam suspiciously.
"There's no one. I know Doni, he likes changing girlfriends. So well, I kind of don't like her, either" Devina said unhappily as she mentioned Doni's name.
"Oh? So he has that kind of nature. It seems interesting to beat him," Azam said with a grin. Because he can't wait to beat Doni in tomorrow's duel.
Doni is handsome, but not masculine. So he's handsome but a playboy. Azam did not care what kind of Doni it was, but he did not like people who play with other people, let alone women.
"How many percent can you beat Doni?" vanessa asked curiously, because she knew that Azam had never done horse riding.
"99 percent," Azam replied with a confident tone. He also answered without thinking because he was sure.
"You sure?" vanessa asked for confirmation from Azam.
"Yes. I've never ridden, but I'm sure of my brain and physique." Azam replied with a confident smile.
"OKAY. I trust you," nodded Vanessa with a smile.
Devina sees Azam's interaction with Vanessa. He was quite famous when he heard Azam had never rode. But he was even more shocked when he heard Vanessa believed Azam would win.
"Have they been so hard to know for a long time? Why could Vanessa believe Azam, even though Azam's victory was still in doubt," Devina thought in puzzlement.
But in the end, Devina decided to believe in Azam as well. Maybe because he was jealous of Vanessa who could trust Azam in just a few words.
They arrived at a very famous restaurant there. They entered and immediately went to the second floor to be able to eat comfortably. Then after the servants came, they immediately said what they wanted.
