9. Among the 2 Choices

Silka looked at Jodi with a mixed expression of confusion, sadness, and anxiety. He felt trapped in a complicated emotional conflict.

"Jodi, i... I can't answer your question" Silka said in a soft voice. "I'm not angry, but I'm confused about the feeling I'm feeling. It's not just about you or anyone. There's a lot going on in my life, and I'm not ready to involve myself in any relationship right now."

Jodi approached Silka with her face depicting a livability. "Silka, it looks like you're going through a difficult time, but I just want you not to close your heart completely. We can support and understand each other. I just want to be by your side." Jodi, aka Max, does not want the same thing to happen again. Quite once Silka ran away from her as Max, but not until she became Jodi, Silka back away from her.

Silka imagined Jodi's face in her mind. He felt a deep sincerity through Jodi's words just now. However, he also fears the consequences that might occur if he allows his feelings to develop. She is still self-conscious, currently still has the status of being the wife of a man named Max.

"Jodi, you don't know me and everything about me. I'm not the kind of person you think I am. I don't want to get you into that mess either. I'm afraid to hurt you." He recalled how the character of Max was not so familiar. To him, Max was just a vile man who always made his feelings flutter from overwhelming fear.

Jodi leaned behind the door where Silka was leaning there. "We all have pasts and mistakes, Silka. But that doesn't hinder the story between us. We can try it and maybe get better. Let me take the risk and understand you fully. I'm ready to accept you for who you are."

Silka sobbed softly, filled with Jodi's statement that made Silka's heart melt so that it could not be stronger anymore. However, she still feels shackled by her unending marriage and fears for the people of her past who continue to haunt her.

"Jodi, I don't want to involve you in this conflict. I don't want to interfere in your life with my problems. You deserve someone better, someone who can give you true happiness."

Jodi let out a breath that felt so heavy. He wants to talk everything to a girl who is actually his wife. However, he felt trapped by this situation. He couldn't be honest with Silka.

"Silka, you can't decide what's best for me. I have the right to choose who I want to love and be with me. Let me decide what I want."

Silka feels her feelings torn between a desire to protect Jodi and a deepening attraction towards her. He felt compelled to stay away, but also afraid of losing what they had.

"Jodi, I'm sorry if I look selfish. I need time to think things through more clearly. Please wait for me and give me time."

Behind the door, Jodi smiled softly and grasped the wishful thinking of everything about Silka. "Sure, Silka. I'll be waiting for you. I'm ready to support you as long as you need it. Whenever you're ready, I'll be here."

Time passed, and Silka used that time to reflect on her feelings. He felt trapped in a confusion that never subsided. On the one hand, there is a growing interest in Jodi and the support he provides. On the other hand, there is the burden of past and unfinished marriage.

Over the course of a few weeks, Silka chooses to stay away from Jodi and focus on herself. He pondered the choice to take and tried to find strength in himself.

When Silka finally felt calmer and clearer in her mind, she decided to confront Jodi and express her feelings honestly.

One afternoon, Silka looks for Jodi at their usual training ground. He found the man sitting alone in the corner of the dojo, looking a little worried.

Jodi turned her head and smiled with relief when she saw Silka's face, which she had not seen for a long time. "Silka, you're finally here. I miss you, very."

Jodi smiled hearing Silka's heart expression. He was really impatient to hear directly from his wife's mouth, that she was actually the wife of a Maximo Gobzalez, who was none other than himself.

"Tell me, I want to know everything about you as well as your past."

Silka felt like oxygen just disappeared. He feels claustrophobic if he has to be honest and prepare to lose Jodi. However, if he was dishonest, he would continue to feel burdened.

"Jodi, you should know, I'm actually married." Silka waits for Jodi's reaction, but Jodi's eyes are seen releasing something she can't understand.

"You should also know that the past about my marriage is not over until this very moment. It is a burden I have to face. However, I don't want to let fear and regret destroy what we have."

Jodi smiled thinly. This time the look on his face looks uncertain, should he be happy, or angry? His wife, Silka, loves a Jodi, a stranger he just met. Not Max, the man who has been officially in a marriage bond with her. Jodi tries to control her heart.
