SERUNI

SERUNI
CHAPTER 29 The Warmth of Love

After giving Sayaka directions to get used to her hotel room, Shakala intends to return to the hospital immediately. However, Sayaka seems reluctant to be left alone. As Shakala thought earlier, Seruni chose the hotel where Sayaka was staying.

"If you're not comfortable here. You're staying with me, Ka. Let me explain it to Seruni. I'm staying at my brother's. We can room there. Not far from here, kok," bargained Shakala who could not bear to see the look of confusion Sayaka.

"Thank you, Mr. Major. This is too good for me. Later I can not even sleep," said Sayaka happily.

"Yes, we go there now. You will rest there. I'm going to the hospital tomorrow."

Sayaka and Shakala finally leave the hotel. There was no other option for Shakala other than to make the offer. Leaving Sayaka in the hotel alone would be tantamount to torturing the man blatantly. Although Shakala's small heart was upset at the fact that she had to lose to Sayaka in terms of getting Seruni's heart, but her mind and conscience were still able to think well.

Elsewhere, Seruni was seen sitting dreamily on a bench not far from the gurney where Subroto was fast asleep. A little bit, obviously he was thinking about his conversation with the father earlier. All are deacons. Sooner or later, Seruni will have to talk about it with Sayaka.

Over time, Seruni felt drowsiness. He chose to move to a special gurney for the patient guard located two meters from the gurney of the father. Seruni laid her body there. Closing his eyes and momentarily forgetting all the worries that were enveloping his mind.

A few moments in the house of Shakala's brother, Sayaka felt more calm. The sound of birdsong being the pet of Shakala's cousin makes Sayaka seem not far from the natural atmosphere he loves. In addition to the backyard of the house, there are deer and rabbits that are used as pets there.

"So remember Siti and the others. They've eaten yet, haven't they?" sayaka gumam.

Shakala who heard Sayaka's words can only draw a thin smile while shaking her head. At all he did not doubt the innocence and sincerity of a Sayaka. However, without demeaning the man-to step on a more serious relationship with Seruni obviously would not be easy for Sayaka either. As the only child of a former general and also a businessman, there is a great responsibility on the shoulders of Seruni which will certainly put Sayaka in trouble.

"Sir Major, Ndhuk Seruni's house is far from here?" ask Sayaka suddenly.

"Morang, Ka. The Seruni House is huge. There are a lot of rabbits too. There are also chickens. If you go there, it can be even more difficult. There is a large gourami fish pond. Since leaving the service to your place, his father Seruni busied himself with raising and gardening small. Just to fill free time," explained Shakala.

Just hearing like that, Sayaka again felt that she did not have a fingernail tip when compared to Seruni. What he had was obviously just enough, not more so than what his beloved heart had.

"Kata Ndhuk Seruni, if later become a wife, Ndhuk Seruni will not be served anymore" said Sayaka.

Shakala smiled at Sayaka's words. "Why should you stop? Helping birth is a noble task, especially if you later settle in your area. Surely the presence of Seruni is quite helpful. Your problem is just one. If Seruni has to come back here to continue his father's company. Can you come here? You should think about it, Ka. If you are serious, there is no harm in thinking about this now. It's better we're not used to being faced with beautiful dreams ahead" he said.

Sayaka speechless. What Shakala said has a point. The relationship with Seruni may still be short, but the two have agreed to want a relationship that is not just messing around.

"Ka, you're lucky that Seruni put her heart on you. Don't waste this opportunity. Give up a little, there I will fight to replace your position. I'm not kidding." Shakala patted Sayaka's shoulder.

"No, Mr. Major. I will not back down until Ndhuk Seruni breaks off our relationship."

Shakala nodded with a smile. In my heart I hope Sayaka can keep her own words. Being with Seruni is not as simple as being overshadowed by Sayaka. There is nothing wrong with the relationship between different economic status and education, only, between Seruni and Sayaka the difference is too steep.

Finally, neither Shakala nor Sayaka returned to the hospital. When he was about to leave, Seruni sent word that the state of Subroto had greatly improved. Seruni asked the two not to come so that the father would have more time to rest.

It was not until a day ago that Seruni kept his father in the hospital that doctors allowed the middle-aged man to do outpatient at home. Of course it was welcomed happily by Seruni. Not wanting to rush home, he asks that Shakala and Sayaka wait for his arrival at home alone.

But all outside the calculation of Seruni, news of Subroto's return was heard in the ears of his fellow retired father's friends. Until the moment he entered the yard, a row of cars lined up even to fill the front street of his house. Of course they want to see Subroto's situation firsthand. Because while in the hospital, the man was not willing to be visited by anyone.

Sayaka seemed to be sitting uncomfortably beside Shakala who very well welcomed and accompanied Subroto's friends who some came with his wife.

"Well, secretly Mr. Subroto would-be son-in-law a Major. It's very suitable to be juxtaposed with this beautiful doctor ma'am," praised the wife of one of Subroto's friends without stale ado. Subroto and Seruni had just set foot a few steps through the main door.

Sayaka lowered her head. From then on, his existence was like a needle in a pile of straw.
