Knowing the arrival of Subroto and Seruni, all guests who had been sitting casually immediately stood up to welcome the arrival of the retired general and his only daughter. The two men replied kindly one by one greeting while asking them to sit back.
The tail of Seruni's eyes occasionally glanced towards Sayaka who clearly seemed to be in her discomfort in the midst of them. Realizing this, Seruni looked for a gap in order to bring her lover away for a moment from there. Seruni went inside first, as soon as the idea arose as she saw a rabbit in the garden beside her house. He immediately went to the room where Sayaka was.
"Excuse me." With courtesy Seruni paused for a moment the chat that was being done there. "Sorry Bang Sayaka, would you like to ask for a moment please? Rabbit's father's leg is like it's hurt."
Subroto frowned while looking at Seruni with a probing look. A few seconds later, the man understood the meaning of the princess. He immediately invited his guests and also Shakala back to talk. Despite not liking what Seruni did just now, for now Subroto must hold back first.
Sayaka also stood up and set foot behind Seruni towards the side yard of the house. "Where's the rabbit, Ndhuk?" tanyanya while circulating a glance in all directions looking for livestock that was meant by Seruni earlier.
"Maybe you ran, Bang. Yes, no longer need to be sought. They used to run around here. It will appear by itself." Seruni then pointed at the empty teak wooden bench not far from where he stood. "Sit here, yuk, bang!" bring him.
"But, Ndhuk. It's not good for Mr. Subroto." Sayaka looked inside the house. The living room is not visible from its current location.
"I know you're not comfortable in there" said Seruni, impressed carefully for fear that Sayaka was getting inferior.
"I don't know what to say. Let alone talk, what they are talking about I do not fully understand," said Sayaka with a slightly bowed face.
"It's okay, Bang. Later will also understand," said Seruni. She was caught a little uncertain in herself about it. Given that the previous Sayaka is a person who is not easily familiar with new people, it seems like Sayaka will take a while to adapt and learn new things.
"I'm not sure, Ndhuk. From yesterday starting to get on a plane, meeting your father, going to a hotel until now, it feels like our differences are getting bigger." Sayaka's face looked gloomy. Which he was so excited to prove that he was also worthy to accompany Seruni with himself as is. Suddenly the guts were shrunk when he was in the chat with Shakala and Subroto's friends earlier.
"Feelings are not determined by differences in our habits, social status, education or job gaps. Whoever we are, nothing can stop our hearts from loving each other. There may be some things that we must understand, but not necessarily with us suddenly change ourselves. It's not that Bang Sayaka is in a relationship with me, Bang Sayaka has to follow my way of life. We're quite receptive to each other's habits."
"Where can it be, Ndhuk. In a relationship, no matter how wide the distance is, over time, that distance must be eroded. There's no way we keep going together in a very different way. Of course me or you sometimes have to give up. Leaving a moment of habit or even forever for the sake of harmony."
Seruni fell silent. Sayaka is right, it is also more or less the same as what was previously conveyed by the father. Adult love should not be blind. All possibilities are not ruled out or underestimated. Should have been thought through. Before time tie the heart deeper to logic that does not fully work.
Seruni nodded in agreement. However, as soon as the two reached the room Subroto was in, along with that the guests were pleading. The condition of Subroto who just got out of the hospital, of course, is a separate consideration for his friends so as not to linger to invite the man to have a warm conversation.
"Ser, budhe pamit first. Take good care of your father. Don't go far. Just come back to Surabaya. Marry your father and let him be his grandson. You and shaka are perfectly fit. Suit. What are you waiting for?" A woman who was the wife of one of Subroto's friends gave a warm hug and hand job to Seruni while saying this.
"Continue the prayer, Madam Surya. Whoever is Seruni's soul mate, we can certainly only pray for the best." Not Seruni, even Subroto who chimed in on the woman.
The tail of Seruni's eyes glanced at Sayaka's figure. The man was clearly trying to show his face as calm as possible. While Shakala who had been considered by everyone as a prospective husband Seruni also felt bad. If it were real, he would be very grateful. At present, the man is even worried that it will actually make his closeness with Seruni or Sayaka become tenuous.
Once the guests' cars had left the courtyard area of Seruni's house is very large, Subroto immediately asked Seruni to drive himself to the room to rest. Shakala and Sayaka were told to wait until the afternoon and were not allowed to go home by Subroto. I don't know what the man meant to ask that.
Not until they re-enter the house, a car is seen entering the yard at a slow speed.
"Who is that, Ser?" ask Subroto.
Seruni squinted his eyes to see and ascertain who was coming. "No idea, Dad."
"Papa," muttered Shakala who did not think that her parents came to Surabaya.
Sayaka and Seruni exchanged glances. There are words that are not spoken but are clearly implied through the radiance of both eyes. Their relationship is really just beginning. Like a flower, Love certainly still blooms in the hearts of both. However, being faced with the reality of real-life differences-does not stop forcing Seruni and Sayaka to keep engaging logic.
"Mas Sadewa why don't you tell me you want to come? Shaka should have picked up Dad. This he even bothers to take care of me here." Subroto welcomed the man in his seventies very kindly.
Again and again, Sayaka's existence seemed meaningless and invisible.
