SERUNI

SERUNI
CHAPTER 36 The Coming of Qodir

Seruni directly pinched Shakala's arm in agitation. "No panties Mas Shaka is so cute."

"Okay, Ser. The pinching starts to hurt, tau. Mending an ant bite rather than your pinch." Shakala clasped the wrist of Seruni who still wanted to shower her with a pinch. Both seem to forget there are four pairs of eyes of people closest to them and also dozens of other pairs of eyes that pay attention to them.

"Why would?" ask Seruni once more. This time with a more serious look and tone.

"You're curious, huh? Banget?" Shaka instead returns to teasing Seruni.

Subroto shook his head at the interaction of Seruni and Shakala. It was as if he was faced with his two children who were fighting over something.

"Don't remember the age! It was time to make the boy even act like a boy," Subroto sambari's leeri pounded Seruni and Shakala's arms in turn.

Sayaka smiled at her smile. With Shakala's kindness so far, it feels too ignorant until she puts jealousy on the man. From Shakala, a little bit of Sayaka learned to behave. As a man, abstinence from hating, avoiding let alone blaming others for a failure or defeat.

"Do you want to know the answer?" Shakala asked as she slightly shifted her body to be a little distant with Seruni.

Just now Seruni wanted to answer, the sound of a call for passengers to the plane to Supadio-Pontionak airport was heard filling the entire room.

"Depart first, Kha!" Subroto shook Shakala's hand steadily. "I'll wait there," he added.

"Be careful, Mr. dhe." Shakala replied while returning Subroto's handshake was no less tight.

As soon as Subroto shifted, it changed Sayaka who approached Shakala. "Sir Major, I'm back first. Thank you for being so kind to me" he said, so sincere.

"No problem, Ka. Spirit for the future. There must be sacrifice and struggle for something that is worth fighting for" Shakala said as she cast a smile on the eyes of Seruni always imagined to be the smile of the father in his youth.

After that it was only Seruni who shook Shakala's hand. "Thank you, Mom. We have a lot to talk about. I don't want to owe too much to Mas Shaka's kindness."

"That's chatty. Never mind. If I wasn't Mr. Dhe Broto's son-in-law, I would at least be his son. We could be brother. We're both only children, right?"

Shakala's question makes Seruni again pinch the spoiled man.

"Be careful, dhek Ser. Wait for the invitation," teased Shakala.

Recalling the call for passengers had been heard twice, Subroto again reminded Seruni not to linger joking with Shakala. The three of them finally walked into the special gate of passengers leaving Shakala who was still faithful to look at the back of Seruni expectantly and pray in her heart. I don't know what his prayer is. Only Shakala knows.

"It looks like the mosque deket ya from here. I just want to pray in the mosque" cried Subroto excitedly.

"Well, I just got well. Pray at home only. We're out of the way anyway. Rest first," prevent Seruni.

"You're this. Prayer is delayed. The man is the best worshiper in the mosque. Same with girls." Subroto turned his gaze towards Sayaka who seemed to be about to leave from there as well. I can't wait for the man to meet Siti and her friends.

"Decet's not the mosque from here, Ka?" ask Subroto.

"Now, sir. But it's not really a mosque. Just a little musholla. Coincidentally close beside Mr. Camat's house. The house that I also occupy," replied Sayaka.

"Well, what a coincidence. Come on then. I'll take a little kopyah." Subroto looks sumringah. He opened the suitcase that was still in the living room where they were all located.

Seruni could only shake his head while snorting in annoyance. That's how the father is if nothing is complained about. The man will do anything and go anywhere without remembering at his age now, his physique clearly already has limitations.

Sayaka walks with Subroto to the mushola. Not infrequently they are a source of attention when passing by some residents who have just returned from gardening or looking for grass. Some of them greeted Sayaka kindly.

A few steps closer to Sajad's house, Sayaka stopped her steps for a moment. Then carefully he said, "I'm sorry, sir. I'll put my bag first. If you'd like, let's stop first."

"Owh, later, Ka. after prayer. I'll just wait for you in the mushola." Subroto slapped Sayaka's shoulder casually.

The two split up there. Sayaka went straight into the house. His greeting was immediately greeted by Bu Sajad with relief. Despite being quite mature, Sayaka's departure to the hometown of Seruni made the woman quite worried. This is a long journey for the first time for Sayaka.

"Alhamdulillah, you are back in good health, Ka." Bu Sajad patted Sayaka's arm with sparkling eyes. From childhood, he was the one who took care of Sayaka. Before marrying Mr. Sajad, Sayakalah who worked hard to provide for his life since the man was 13 years old.

"Already, Ua. Talk about it later, yeah. Go to cepet-cepet mushola. There's Seruni's father already waiting there." Sayaka put her bag on the bamboo long chair just like that. He hastily took off his shoes and replaced them with regular rubber slippers.

Usually, from the adhan proclaimed, the prayer of worshipers will only be done ten minutes later. Not without reason, this is done because the distance of residents who follow the congregation is quite far. And also, give the new opportunity to go home from sometimes to get ready first.

"Definitely stopped by here, didn't you, Ka? Gee, gotta cook this up first." Mrs Sajad hurried to the kitchen. Being aware of the upcoming guests is definitely not an ordinary guest. As far as he can remember, from Shakala's story before Seruni came to his place, the young Major said that the one who will serve there is a pediatrician from a retired TNI general.

"Eh, for a minute, just go through the back so you can see, siti, sapto and others. Where's the siti, Ua?" Sayaka still had time to steal time to meet face to face even just a glimpse with the creatures four legged his favorite.

Ms. Sajad did not answer. He focused on thinking about what would be presented to his guests later. Sayaka did not wait for the woman's answer anymore. He walked towards the back. Then approached the row of cages, waving their hands and saying, "Let me tell you about it while in Surabaya. Now I'm going to mushola first, yeah."

Sayaka continues her path to mushola. Up there he was stunned to see an event that was very unusual for him. Absolutely unexpected, as well as wondering in his heart and mind.
