Arriving at his contract, Jayden sees Delia busy with her book and pen. I don't know what made him so focused that he didn't realize Jayden's arrival.
Delia realizes Jayden's whereabouts when Jayden's shadow covers her. He looked over and was surprised to find Jayden there.
“Jay, when did you come?” delia asked as she stood up and approached Jayden. He put both his hands around Jayden's neck.
Jayden. He put his hand around Delia's waist. “Newly,” said Jayden while landing a kiss on Delia's lips. “What are you doing?”
Delia picked up the book, then showed it to Jayden. “I make a list of what we will buy for our new home.”
Deg. Jayden's facial features changed instantly.
Delia was unaware of Jayden's facial changes. He continued to read the pen graffiti one by one. It stops when it is on the last line. “What do you think Jay?”
“Hemmm ... Later just chat it.” Jayden closed Delia's book forcibly. “be prepared, we go for a walk.”
“Where?”
“Later also you know.”
Without asking much, Delia immediately prepared to come along with Jayden. As it was getting dark, Delia was wearing a sweater and jeans. While his hair he let it run. A thin, nude-colored lipstick she applied to her lips.
Jayden drove his motorcycle out of his rented alley. He drove towards the north of Jakarta.
Unlike usual, Jayden was more silent. He enjoyed Delia's warm embrace on her back.
40 Minutes drive, they reached their destination, Ancol beach. Without much talking, Jayden invited Delia deeper after parking her vehicle, and paying for admission. The mask and sunglasses have not been removed. This time he really did not want to be disturbed.
Jayden held Delia's hand down the beach area. Prepare to welcome the sunset which will soon show its beauty. They sit on the sand. Let their feet occasionally hit by the sweep of the waves. He opened his glasses and mask. Keep it in his jacket pocket.
Delia approached Jayden and leaned her head against the shoulder of her husband, who was sitting on his right. Their eyes were fixed in the same direction, sunset.
“Say Jay, what's the problem?” ask Delia lirih.
Jayden closed his eyes, feeling his throat choking to speak.
“We solve together Jay, all problems must have a way out,” said Delia.
Jayden carried Delia's right hand with his left. Linking her fingers between Delia's fingers. He approached her to his face and kissed her for a long time.
“I'm happy to be here at the moment, Del,” said Jayden, “the sound of the waves is so soothing,”.
“Jay ...”
“I love you Del, love you so much.”
Delia pulled her hand from Jayden's grasp, then flipped Jayden's body to face him, “say Jay, what's the problem?” delia.
“Everything is out of Del's control, a-I don't know what else to do.” Jayden looked down, reluctant to look directly at Delia's eyes.
“Jay! Look me in the eye!”
Hearing Delia's tone of voice rise, Jayden forced to look into Delia's eyeballs. The reflection of the moonlit sea water he saw there. So beautiful.
“Now be honest with me! What's up?”
Jayden silent.
“Jay?” Delia urges.
“Dave asked me to marry Star.”
One second, two seconds, three seconds, no reaction from Delia.
“Del, Dave asked me to marry Star.”
Delia turned her gaze towards the sea water. Write a random word on the sand with his index finger. This time, Delia did not want to look at Jayden.
“Dave blames my carelessness for buying a house for you. He asked me for clarification, if the house I bought was for a star. I rejected the marriage by saying that I was married to you, Del. But Dave used that to threaten me. He said he'd imprison me with a fraud case if I didn't want to marry Bintang.”
“Then you agreed?” delia asked still looking towards the sea.
“I have no other choice Del.”
“Of course, as a normal male, you would choose to marry a Star instead of being imprisoned, right?”
“Actually what was on my mind back then was you, Del. If I go to jail, what about you? You came out of your parents' house for me. Papa you will have good reason to take you away from me until he finds out that I am in prison. I don't want to lose you, Del.”
“When are you getting married?” ask Delia.
“Dave suggested before launching our latest album, around November,” Jayden replied.
“November? Hmmm ... How about the sixth?”
“Del, it's our wedding day!”
“I know. Make a fancy party for our anniversary, Jay.”
Jayden saw Delia standing up, then walked away from her. Kicking sand with his bare feet.
Is he really okay? Inner Jayden.
Delia's response was beyond her expectations. He thought Delia would cry hysterically while hitting him. But no! What's the matter?
So this is your plan Star? Taking husband? Inner Delia.
When Jayden said he first met at the cafe, Delia knew Jayden was talking about him. But Delia felt, The stars began to play.
When he met her at the charity concert, Bintang showed a hostile aura. Delia knew this was going to happen, but she also did not expect it to be this fast.
“You want a Star game? I'll show you my skills.” Delia monologue.
With his shoes and Delia's, Jayden ran after his wife. He did not forget to put his mask back on. This time without sunglasses, because it's getting dark, and it's going to make it hard.
“Del, are you okay?” ask Jayden worried.
“I'm a little cold Jay, how about we just go home? It feels like being in our bed warmer than here.” Delia said her last sentence in a whisper.
Jayden stopped stepping. Then he smiled and walked back to Delia's steps. He held Delia's shoulder possessively. As if to show everyone that this woman beside him was hers.
Delia reciprocated Jayden's treatment by hugging her husband's waist. They both walked to where their vehicles were parked.
“You eat first or go straight home?” ask Jayden.
“Eat first, you have to be extra powered tonight.”
“Hahahaha ..” Jayden laughed with satisfaction at Delia's joke. “Alright lady Jayden, I'm ready to serve you.”
Delia pinched Jayden's stomach.
“What do you eat?” jayden asked, putting a helmet on Delia's head.
“Pecel lele,” replied Delia.
“Colah Del, I've had a lot of money. I can take you to eat at a fancy restaurant.”
Delia shook her head, “I want to eat pecel catfish that I was birthday.”
Jayden fell silent, then smiled. Now he realized, Delia's heart was not fine. No matter how wide he tried to smile, he knew his heart was crying. He knew Delia wanted to eat at the place not because of her food, but because of her memories.
To Delia, the threat Dave presented was absurd. Delia feels Jayden is being fooled by Dave and the Stars. But that's just the prejudice. He also could not have told Jayden, because it was possible that Jayden would be offended if Delia said she was stupid.
Silent travel. Both Jayden and Delia were silent, struggling with their own thoughts. Arriving at their destination, they were still acting ordinary, as if Jayden's words just a moment ago were completely meaningless.
Delia asked them to sit in the chair they used to sit in, but there were still people eating. Patiently, they wait until the visitor is done with the meal.
There are no other visitors there. Jayden spoke to the catfish dealer that he would buy his wares, but no one should enter the tent as long as he and his wife were still there.
Of course the merchant was happy. He could go home sooner than usual.
“On fried course all yes sir!” tell Jayden, “and please make sure no one is taking photos and videoing me and my wife,”.
“Good mas,” replied the merchant.
“Jay, no need to do such a thing,” Delia said as soon as they sat side by side.
“I don't want anyone to bother us anymore,” Jayden said.
Food on the table. One serving of fried catfish complete with rice, tofu, tempeh, lalap, and sambal.
“Kok is just one?” ask Delia.
“Romantic wild,” replied Jayden, “eat.”
Delia began to bribe the rice into her mouth, then one more feed it into Jayden's mouth. His lips suddenly twitched. Not because of the hot rice, not also because of the spicy sambal, but there was a haru taste that suddenly burst into his heart.
“Cry Del, if it makes you better,” said Jayden.
A single tear came out of Delia's eyes along with her attempt to soften the food in her mouth. As much as he could endure the grief, he failed.
“I'm sorry Del, I'm sorry this weakling. I was caught up in my own lies. And now, I'm taking you into it too.”
Delia's tears just got worse. Now even slide into a wicker plate on the table.
Jayden's hand was about to move rubbing Delia's tears, but Delia stopped him.
“Let Jay, let me feel this sadness. In order to make it, I am stronger. The challenge of our relationship is bigger going forward. I have to prepare myself,” said Delia, “I promise, after this I will not cry about this anymore. This is the first and last time,”.
Jayden had to watch Delia eat while crying. Somehow it feels. Is Jay hurt? Sure was! Seeing his wife crying for him, he felt very guilty.
The catfish merchant who was busy frying Jayden's order became confused to see his two visitors. But he did not want to interfere with their business.
Suddenly a busker came to the tent. The merchant will already shoo him away subtly. Give him some money. He remembered Jayden's words that no one else wanted to come in while he was eating with his wife. But Jayden stopped him. He remembered the guard. The busker who used to borrow him a guitar while going to sing a song for Delia.
Jayden stood up, borrowed the guitar from the busker. Looks like the busker also recognized Jayden.
“Mas again?” ask the busker. It turned out that he recognized Jayden not as an artist, but as his guitar borrower.
Jayden smiled, borrowed his guitar to accompany him. The song he performed was still the same as the song he performed first. Jayden really wanted to bring the atmosphere of the day to the present moment.
Delia smiled at him, and she started wiping her tears to see Jayden's face.
After reminiscing, Jayden and Delia return home. Previously, he gave some money to the catfish pecel trader and asked the merchant to distribute it to the needy on the way home later.
Jayden also gave some money to the buskers, this time a lot more. Both the merchant and the busker were grateful to Jayden and Delia. The two pray that Jayden and Delia's life will be happy.
Flashback.
