The Arrival of In-Law

This morning the weather was cloudy. Cold air enveloped the capital. It is no stranger if every year ends in the rainy season. Jayden pulled the blanket over his neck. He also pulled his wife's body closer.

But the warmth did not last long. Gedoran in front of the door of Delia's room forced the residents inside to wake up instantly.

Delia put on her clothes before deciding to open the door.

“Star?” delia said so as to ascertain who the perpetrator of the sacking was.

“Mana Jay?” The star sneaks into Delia's room and pulls out the blanket that Jayden is wearing. He had a moment to find out Jayden was not dressed. “I-it ... Get dressed, I'll wait under.” The star then left after saying so.

“Yes God, I just stained a girl's eyes!” jayden exclaimed as he pulled back the blanket.

Delia's eyes narrowed, “you deliberately showed me something that only I should be able to see in another woman Jay?”

“Not my fault Del, Stars that come suddenly.” Jayden defended himself. “What said it was?”

“Dress, I wait below!” Delia imitates the Star's style of speech.

After cleaning up, Delia and the Stars went down together. They even took the time to joke around with each other on the stairs.

Once downstairs, Jayden realized something was different. Some people gathered in the family room. A star, a mother and a father who are very familiar in Jayden's memory.

“Jay what is this? Why are they here?” whispered Delia.

“You know?” ask Jayden.

“That's a Star parent, the time you forgot?”

Ah yes, Jayden remembers now. The father gave his only daughter to Jayden at their wedding.

Jayden walked towards them, while Delia tailed from behind.

Just as Jayden was a meter away from the sofa, Subandi, the father of Bintang stood up from his seat and immediately floated a raw bogem on the handsome face of his son-in-law. The old man would throw one more blow before his wife, Meli, held him back.

“Already sir.” Mum tried to calm her husband.

Jayden turned his head towards the Stars as if asking 'what is it?’. But the Star shrugged its shoulders not understanding.

“What is this Sir? Why did you hit Jay for no reason?” Delia who was now standing next to Jayden spoke up.

“I hand over my Daughter to you to take care of and you glorify as a wife!” Subandi's eyeballs lit up with anger toward Jayden. “And you even hurt her by bringing a prostitute into the house?” Subandi pointed his index finger in front of Delia.

Regardless of the manners that must be maintained, Jayden lowered Subandi's hand which led to Delia. He turned to the stars to calm his father.

“Enough!” Jayden slightly shouted in front of the foul-mouthed family. “Bi, you solve your family problems!” order Jayden. He then pulled Delia's hand away from there.

“So that kind of man is your heart's choice, son?” Subandi's question managed to stop Jayden's footsteps. “An irresponsible man who broke his own promise to God! Are you the man who two months ago asked my daughter to marry you? Are you the man who promised before God to love and glorify my daughter?”

“Bi, explain everything to your father!” Jayden was still turning his back on the old man.

“That's cowardly that you don't dare look at this old man Jay?” ask Subandi scornfully.

Delia became furious because the Star was not trying to straighten all of this out. She let her father curse her husband.

Delia turned around, walked quickly towards Subandi, “Pak, calm down first, actually me and Jay—“

THE PLAQUE! One slap landed on Delia's cheek. And that made Delia fall to the floor.

For the first time Delia showed her tears in front of the Star. He felt inferior being treated that way.

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” Jayden's voice rose to fill the house. Perhaps the security guard standing outside could hear it as well.

Subandi flinched because of it, even with Meli. They looked at Jayden who was so tenderly treating Delia.

“Darling, I'm sorry dear. You must be very sick huh?” Jayden gently rubbed Delia's cheeks reddened by Subandi's former slap.

Delia sobbing. His whole life, only this time he felt a slap.

“AGUUUS!” Jayden called the security of their home.

A moment later, a man in a suit with the inscription SATPAM approached. He was quite surprised to find his employer in unusual circumstances. The male master who was in a wrathful face, and the female master who was crying.

“Why did you let anyone enter my house? You want me to fire?” ask Jayden in a high tone.

Subandi flinched again, he realized that the 'indiscriminate person' Jayden meant was himself.

“Exir them!” jayden's word pointed to the Star's parents.

“Tap-but they said, they're non-Star parents, sir.” Agus spoke with a stammer. Never had he seen Jayden that angry.

“You why the hell Jay, why upset my parents?” ask the Star defend.

“You can go with them if you want,” Jayden said without looking to the Stars.

“Let's go Nak.” Subandi was already about to withdraw the Star's hand, but the Star rejected him.

“Wait Well,” says Star.

“So you choose to live with such a man rather than go home to your own parents Star?”

“Yes, I misunderstood Jay.” It turned out to take quite a long time for Bintang to start defending Jayden. “Jay, it's originally good Well.”
