Let go

“Thank you,” said Jayden while receiving his phone from the hands of the Stars.

“Why are you doing this, Jay?” Ask Stars.

Jayden stared fixedly at the Star's eyeball. Just momentary. After that, he turned back to the stars.

Jayden recalled this morning. He was so excited to meet with Delia, even had a standby in front of Delia's shop from 7 am.

At that time he was surprised by the arrival of two large-bodied men who were knocking on the glass of his car. Jayden was initially surprised, thinking he was being scuttered, but after looking closely at the faces, Jayden finally came out.

“What's up?” ask Jayden without further ado.

One man pushed Jayden into the back seat, and another drove Jayden's car out of the area.

“Hey, where do I want to be taken? You guys want to kidnap me?” jayden asked, but the two who were with him did not press.

The car went into the yard of a luxury house that Jayden could only see outside. The big man sitting next to Jayden pulled Jayden's hand out and pushed him into a room under the stairs.

“Hey, treat my guests with respect!” a voice entered Jayden's sense of hearing. Jayden looked at the man. Of course it was the owner of the house, Arga Wijaya. “Sorry for the rough treatment of my bodyguard” he told Jayden.

“Why did you bring me here?” ask Jayden.

“Why? You don't like visiting the house of the woman you said you loved? Isn't that your goal? Live in a luxury home instantly without having to work hard?” Arga asked back. “That's it, already down.” Arga pointed outwards. From the room he was in right now, there was indeed a glass that could look out. Instead, through the same glass, the person outside only saw a mirror.

Jayden followed Arga's index. He saw Delia coming down with her excitement. Car keys and bag.

“See, my daughter is very happy to be at her house. Is she in your house like that too?” ask Arga.

“Del! Delia darling! I'm here!” Jayden shouted from inside, but the person he called passed by.

“Hahaha ... As loud as you scream for free, this room is soundproof.”

“Say what you mean kidnap me!” jayden said, stopping Arga's laughter at once.

“Ancaptor?” ask Arga, “what am I as a host less friendly to you that you consider me a kidnapper?” continued. “How do you want? I was screaming hysterically like those fools idolizing you, was that it? To plead your name, and make you like a king?”

Jayden threw away his face. She was ashamed of what Arga had said to her.

“I've given you a chance to prove you're worthy. And what did Delia get? Trouble living, unrecognized, betrayed, and considered a snatch of people's husbands! And don't think I don't know what happened to him in Yogyakarta!”

Deg. Jayden turned towards Arga, then looked down again.

“You think I just let go? Nah! I always watch him! It's enough I give you a chance, now it's time for you to get away from Delia.”

“No!” reject Jayden, “I will never leave Delia. We love each other.”

Arga stood up, then walked over to Jayden. He pulled the front t-shirt that Jayden was wearing. “Be aware young man, your love it only makes my daughter suffer. By being by your side, he will only experience suffering, pressure, tightness, without protection. That's what you want?” arga lirih. He then let go of the clutches of his hands and returned to sit in his great chair. “Say, can you guarantee that what I said earlier will not happen to Delia?”

Jayden flinching.

“Sa-me ...”

“No! You won't be able to do it. Because deep down, you admit that Delia is happier living in her own home. Free to leave the house without fear of anyone throwing stones at it. Aye right?”

Jayden flinching. Imagining Delia being stoned made her heart cut. He blamed himself for not defending him at the time. I should have been there by then! inner Jayden.

“Now say, as a man, do you want to let Delia live like that? Or return it to the place where she was supposed to be?”

Jayden is still flinching. He wanted Delia to be happy, but he also did not want to part with her.

“Listen young people, sometimes, letting go is the best way to make our loved ones happy. That's what I did for Delia. And when it turns out that he is suffering with his choice, then his house will always be open for him.”

“Jay! Jay!” A woman's voice surprised him from the daydream. Jayden turned to the stars who were still waiting for an answer from him. “Say Jay, why are you doing this?”

“Sometimes, letting go is the best way to make our loved ones happy.” Jayden quoted Arga's words that he heard this morning. “Prepare, we will rehearsal for new year's night concert.”

Smiling star, “does that mean I have a chance Jay?”

Jayden turned around leaving the Star still standing in the same spot.

I'm gonna make that smile back, Jay. I'll make you happy, so you forget how to grieve.

Jayden closed the door to his room. Then go into the bathroom and turn on the shower. He let the water wet his body which was still wrapped in full clothes.

Jayden did not turn on the water heater. He wanted to feel the coldness of the water reaching his bones.

His heart is fragile at this time. His soul mate is gone. Not to go, but he returned to where he should have been. Jayden does want to live together with Delia, but his desire for Delia's happiness is much greater. He knew Delia would suffer a lot if she was with him. Tears fall along with the shower.

“Delia ... I love you dear ... I'm sorry,” said Jayden softly.

Arga's words were always ringing in his head.

“Sometimes, letting go is the best way to make our loved ones happy.”

Not much different than Delia. He came home in very bad condition. The first thing that became the center of his attention was a middle-aged woman who was still beautiful at her age who was no longer young to welcome his arrival.

“Delia, you're home, son?” The woman stood up from her seat, and hugged her full of warmth.

The mama? It's mama, right? Mama hugged me? batin Delia while returning her mother's embrace.

After his return, things changed from his parents. His father smiled at him, and his mother gave him a warm hug.

“When did you come home baby?” asked Farida while taking off their embrace. He took his eldest daughter to sit on the sofa in the living room.

“Two days ago, Ma,” replied Delia.

“Mama's glad you're home, baby. Mama just got back from London, visited your sister. The city is beautiful, baby. It's winter there. You like snow, right? There ....” Farida was so enthusiastic about telling Delia about London. While Delia was no longer focused on listening to him. His heart was still attached to his soulmate who had not come to their meeting today.
