Shean & Jenny

Shean & Jenny
Symbols

After rest , we continued the journey guided by Mr. Yana, along the hill that there are many lush trees consisting of pine trees and high soga towering. Cold air and fog began to creep on the legs covering some of the paths we were walking.

“Be careful.. The deeper, the fog will get thicker. Try to adjust our steps each” said the guide so that we can be more alert to all changes in the environment.

Several times Jenny mired also stumbled but he did not complain even laugh because of his negligence when stepping, as a result his clothes dirty. Several times I tried to bring her backpack but she refused subtly because she wanted to bring her own luggage and feel the sensation of mountain climbing that she had never felt before.

“Pak we rest for a while” my door to Pak Yana and approved by others.

“Je.. Sit and straighten your legs”. He obeyed my command to sit under a tree with a large root on its sides.

I saw blood spots on his calf, maybe because it had been mired when passing through a steep climb. I brushed it with clean water and put on an antiseptic plaster so as not to get infected.

Jenny was just dumbfounded, she didn't realize that her leg was hurt and deep enough to cut into her calf.

“Since when.. Though I do not feel pain at all”. Wonder said.

“You don't feel it because of the adrenaline that is on the rise”.

“Let's go on again” Jenny does not want to immediately arrive and see the place of the camper and the scenery that said Mr. Yana is very good to see the city landscape.

The road up and down over two steep hills of rocks with lush thick shrubs visible as far as the eye can see. The scene that was discussed earlier began to look faintly covered in white fog but could still be seen quite clearly, I showed the scene to Jenny and she was amazed more and more excited to arrive soon.

Upon arrival at the intended hill, we put the luggage carelessly, here there is nothing but clean wet sloping soil no grass, probably because it is used to be a campground, he said, so the place is always cleaned so that no grass or thickets interfere with the establishment of the tent.

“Very beautiful scenery” Jenny crossed her arms to the chest due to cold by mountain air that currently does not see any sun because it is covered in clouds and pine trees with lush leaves.

“Wait for later tonight, definitely better view”. Saut mr. Yana.

“Sabar.. It's only 11 noon” Erik who is opening his equipment also spoke up.

...----------------...

Finished setting up the tent, we made a fireplace by stacking stones and making a support pole on the right-left side and placing a medium-size wood in the middle to hang the cookware, and, rice is also hot water.

“Pak Yana, there were two cars in the parking lot, who was it?” ask Erik.

“That sir, this morning before Mr. Erik came, there are researchers from the city of Semarang, they are also researching the site. Heard the hell earlier he said they were history students from the University of Jaya Nusantara and were doing historical research on this site”. Sneakily.

I am not surprised because of that, because this place is in great handling by the government so that all researchers can participate in handling cultural reserves that have not been revealed in it. No doubt the government also frees outside researchers to participate and improve scientific studies of the Danger site of ancestral heritage that once existed in this place, it is possible that this is the remnant of a great kingdom that once existed in Indonesia.

Even so, many of the researchers assume, the structure of the building does not resemble temples or royal relics like elsewhere, he said, it can be said that this site is even further in its time span and until this, this study is still ongoing into debate.

“Shean, you are the cook yes, long time I did not eat your cooking” Pinta Erik who did know that I could and liked to cook, during a camper event when still a student, he said, cooking has always been my main task.

The two walked through the thickets to find dry twigs as well as some firewood. Jenny I gave the task of collecting pine fruit that is scattered in the bushes. Pine fruit is also wood from pine trees is very flammable and good for making fireplaces.

“I just found out that this is called pine. The shape is funny once”. His word.

“Yes, you collect enough, I want to find a large log so that enough until later tonight”. My timpal while bending over is lifting a calf-sized wood.

After gathering firewood, I lit the fireplace and started cooking rice.

While cooking, Jenny continued to invite me to talk about many things about mountain climbing as well as my experience so far. Erik who had finished putting up the tent joined and began to tell about our experience together during college. It felt very long during college, even though I did not hang out much, but Erik remained familiar with me and often traveled to take me up the mountain.

After lunch, we left the camp site, heading west about 200 meters, the road is not as bad as last time a little sloping and easy to pass even though it still feels slippery. Jenny also participated he deliberately brought a mirrorless camera to easily shoot with better quality than having to use a smartphone.

Upon arrival there, there were 6 people who were also doing research, they looked young at 24 years old or below. Some noted there were also busy selfies with the camera phone, I did not pay attention to their activities until there was a man who was scribbling the ground near the pile of rocks that are slumped. Erik who was impatient with the behavior of the student then approached him.

“Dek, be careful not to dig the soil around here, this is cultural heritage, if a single piece of rock buried in it is damaged, you will definitely get serious problems later”. He tried to advise. The student was speechless did not dare to face Erik who was high-strength, instantly shrunk his guts.

“Pak Ujang where, instead of him in charge of being your guide” exclaimed Mr. Yana and observed one by one young people in front of him.

“Tadi Pak Ujang back to the parking lot because 2 of our friends are sick”. Said one of the students.

“Ya already then, if you want to stay here do not dare to dig or damage these stones”. Pak ujang pointed towards the block-shaped stones as a marker they are not allowed to do activities that are destructive, and they are not allowed to do, because a lot of visitors who come even damage the rocks until some of them many broken.

The shape of the site is more like the ruins of a large, elongated building that we are looking at is the pinnacle of the building, there are large stones about the size of an adult human there is also a square box size although not all of them are the same size, but I was amazed by the shape that each edge of the beam is precise, and precise, how did people in ancient times make blocks of this big stone?. The great mystery that until now has not been solved, all are just assumptions.

After being satisfied to observe the rocks I realized that in some rocks there are symbols that are not foreign, it seems I know these symbols, I tried to dig into my memory at the time I saw the symbol, because the more curious I asked Jenny to take pictures of the stones that I pointed to be reference material in the future.

Erik was still busy with portable tools and sophisticated tools to research the types of material contained in each corner of the ruins, as well as Mr. Yana who was also assigned to help him. Since there was something I wanted to explore about the symbol I found, I paid a farewell to the two of them first and returned to the camp with Jenny.

“Je, there is something I want to tell you, but later if you get to tent”. My words whisper.

“Good.. Actually I also have something that I want to talk to you both, it just so happens.” her cheeks red blush when saying that sentence.

“do you seem to have a fever? You're okay, right?” I asked while putting my hand on his forehead.

“No, I'm fine, let's go back”. The answer.
