"Son, eat yuk first!" Rosa makes fried noodles for Candra, she also delivers them to the man's room. Usually, he only occasionally saw Candra and gave more time to Cici.
After days of Cici struggling to get close to Candra, this time Rosa is trying to get close to her son. Cici was bored and tired like it, until today did not come.
Candra did not react, she kept quiet and just looked at her mother. I think opening my mouth is lazy.
"When do you want to be like this? Don't you feel sorry for this old mom? Mama needs a talkative friend too, son." He took a spoonful of noodles and fed it to Candra's mouth.
Candra refused. "I'm not hungry, Ma." He went back to daydreaming, looking out the window blankly.
There was no hope of life anymore, why would he live if the person who would accompany him to old age was gone? It's no use, right? So it is better that he die alone than to live a lonely old life.
Maybe there will be a woman who wants to marry him in place of Melinda, but can her heart love that woman as much as she loves Melinda? Seems not!
Candra took a breath then closed the window and laid her body on the sofa back. Why would he live if the source of his life was no longer there?
"Son, are you mad at me?" Rosa approached Candra and stroked her son's head. "You haven't eaten in days. You can be angry with your mom, hate your mom for reporting the incident, but please don't torment your body with a hunger strike like this."
Candra closed her eyes. Family clear thread of closed petals.
"Mama knows you're hurt and disappointed, but if you torture your body like this, Melinda and Johan will be happy because you're broken."
Is it really like that? Would Melinda be happy to see him suffer after expelling the woman? If so, Candra is sincerely devastated to see Melinda happy.
As crazy as his love for the woman ayu, so if he had to die withholding longing and deep disappointment, he is okay.
"Candra, you have to get up. You can get through this." Rosa continues to encourage her child.
There's no answer. Candra still closed her eyes, although the clear grain still continued to come out of the tip.
"You can cry until you're satisfied, hug your mom if you need a backrest, you won't leave you like Melinda."
Candra opened her eyes, she hugged her mother and shed her tears there.
If a man cries for a woman, isn't that a sign that he loves her so much?
And Candra is like that. He would not be able to love another woman as much as Melinda.
"Here you go, all is past, all you have to remember, you have to get up and move on with your life." Rosa patted the back of Candra who was hugging her.
Seeing Candra in pain like this she didn't have the heart. But what else to say, the rice has become porridge. Physical wounds can be seen and treated but if they are injured, only the sick can feel them.
"I can't live Melinda asked, Ma. I don't want to live without him, why would he betray me?"
After many days, only this time Candra said a long sentence. Usually the man just kept quiet and answered briefly. Maybe this is the expression of the heart that he has been quieting all along.
"You're patient, yeah. I'm sure there must be some wisdom behind this."
"Candra's going to rest, Ma." The man let go of his embrace and looked the other way to wipe his tears.
Candra glanced at the noodles on the table then nodded.
Rosa took the plate happily, Candra finally wanted to fill her stomach after days of just drinking. The child's body was thin and not maintained at all.
"It's mama's bribe, you open your mouth!"
Candra opened her mouth and received a bribe from her mother. He ate only two spoons, nothing more. Afterwards she refused when her mother fed her noodles for the third time.
"No, Ma. I'm full." Candra shakes her head.
Rosa put the plate on the table. He's quite a spoon. He sat down next to Candra and massaged her son's hand.
"Mom have input let you forget about Melinda. Want to not let mom in?"
Candra was silent, she already knew what her mother was going to say. Must have been asked to find someone else to replace Melinda.
"Son, you must know that Cici has long liked you, how about you being together?" tanyanya asked for approval.
Candra remained silent not answering, and did not intend to answer. Whatever her mother wanted to do, her life was now meaningless. His soul died, ever since Melinda left this house.
"Tomorrow next week you're married to Cici, yeah. Mama actually does not want to be too hasty, but pity you no one takes care if mama leaves. It's not nice to be the same neighbor if Cici is often at home with both of you when you're not legal."
Candra doesn't care about any of that. He will do whatever his mother asks.
"Not a fancy event, which is important first. Since you're not officially divorced from Melinda, siri's marriage doesn't matter either, what matters is that you have a legitimate bond."
Rosa waited for a response from Candra, but until five minutes she waited, Candra was still silent and did not turn her head though. He sighed, feeling that this conversation was only one-sided.
"Son, how? Mama is talking to you." Rosa gently patted her son's shoulder, hoping to get a nice response from Candra.
"Whatever." Candra didn't say anything else, that's all.
"Yes, mama set it up tomorrow, yeah." Rosa came out of Candra's room and turned her head when she reached the door.
As a mother, she felt very sick to see Candra not have the spirit of life as it is now. He must restore Candra as before, where the smiles and laughter of Candra every day decorate this house.
He let out a long sigh, praying that this would be the first step to restore Candra's smile.
"You must be happy, son!" rosa lirih. "Although not with Melinda, it must be with Cici."
Candra heard her mother's sentence, even though it was spoken softly. He again shed tears, remembering the togetherness with the sweet Melinda.
"I can only be happy if I live with Melinda, Ma," Candra replied softly as well. But her mother had left her room.
"Married to Cici?" Candra smiled cynically. "I'm sure this must all have something to do with Cici. Including Melinda's departure," he continued by staring at the ceiling of the room.
