Chapter 6 The New Plan

Rosa regretted leaving them both to leave, should she have stayed home and watched them alone. But even so, he did not run out of sense, the plan matured back he stacked.

"We're going to have a little welcoming party, so please invite some close friends to come, son." Rosa looked at her son. It's a good tactic to take Candra's confidence.

Candra scrunched her forehead. "What welcome party, Ma?" tanyakanya.

"The welcome of your wife's entry into the Pagalo family." With him watching Candra's wife, then in return he will get the attention also later from Candra.

That was the plan, in front of Candra he would be a very loving in-law of his son-in-law. It was done so that later if Melinda complained about everything she did to him, then Candra would not just believe it.

"Want to throw a party for Melinda?" ask Candra not to believe it.

Candra excitedly went to tell his wife. She wanted Melinda to join the group without any difficulties with people close to her family.

Hearing her in-laws plan, there was a hint of hope tucked into Melinda's heart. Let's just hope this isn't Rosa's plan to keep Candra away from her anymore.

A few days before the banquet, Melinda was busy preparing everything. Rosa was no longer as cynical as before. It makes Melinda feel optimistic that she will be accepted in this family.

"You'll cook and prepare everything, don't forget to cook good." Rosa told Melinda during the day before the event.

Melinda nodded obediently. He prepared everything, including food for the guests. All meals are ready when guests gather in the back garden. The outdoor concept became the theme of the banquet this time.

Melinda with the dress that Candra bought was busy arranging all the food to be given to the guests, he forgot because he was too focused on his work.

"Please prepare soup for dessert" Melinda ordered. He intervened on Rosa's own request.

Not many were invited tonight, only about twenty people. But even so, Melinda still feels that this is the first step that she will go through to enter the Candra family.

All the housekeepers came out with a dessert. At that time Melinda was stretching her muscles after she was done with all the work when she heard a noise from the direction of the park where the party was done.

"He fainted immediately after eating the soup" said one of those present.

Melinda tried to come forward and see what happened.

"Candra, please lift Cici inside, yes," Rosa ordered.

Candra did as she was told. He split the people who gathered to see Cici's stings after eating soup.

That dinner party ended badly. Guests were busy guessing about what happened to Cici. Meanwhile inside, Candra is trying to resuscitate Cici, but to no avail. The girl seemed to be sleeping very well.

All the helpers blamed each other, but no one blamed Melinda. They believed that her young mistress could not possibly mix anything in the guests' meals.

"What do you give Cici food?" rosa asked Melinda with angry eyes.

Melinda shook her head, as she did not know what was going on with Cici. Supposedly if he gave anything in the food, the faint is not just Cici right? But everyone.

"I don't know, Ma. I don't mix anything, '' said Melinda.

"lik! How is it possible that if you don't give anything in Cici's food she becomes like this? You must be upset that Candra often drives Cici home and sometimes ignores you, but this is not the way to get back at her." He looked angrily at his daughter-in-law.

"Ma, don't accuse my wife right away" defended Candra for his wife.

"Then who should blame you? He cooked all this food, didn't he?"

Candra can't think long. He was only able to secure Melinda to the room first before her mother's anger got bigger, then returned to the room where Cici was laid.

"Food that Cici had eaten brought to the laboratory, tell me what content is in it." Rosa gave the orders of her men.

His heart is happy. Very happy, because this plan finally worked.

"Do you have to do that, Ma?" candra asked objection because she believed that Melinda had done nothing to Cici.

"It must be, because only then will we know what is put into the food of the Cici."

The sample of soup that Cici ate was taken to the laboratory. Thanks to Pagalo's family connections, the examination of the food sample didn't take long.

Candra wants to comfort her in the room, but Rosa prevents her and asks Candra to keep Cici company in the room.

While in her room, Melinda was terrified. He began to think that all of this had been planned by no one, because it was impossible for only Cici to faint while the others did not. She waited for Candra to come into the room to explain everything, but for almost three hours, her husband still did not reveal his nose.

"How's Cici doing, Bi?" melinda asked Mina as the woman delivered the food to her room.

Mina put the plate on the table. "It's still not sober, madam." She was worried because her young mistress had not been out of the room since Cici fainted.

Melinda bit her lips worried. He was afraid that the case would be reported to the police and he was accused of harming Cici. "Where are Candra going?" tanyakanya.

"In Miss Cici's room. Shall I call you?"

Melinda nodded. "Please, yes, Bi."

Mina came out of the room, and at that moment the labiratory results of what was contained in the soup came out. A man who served in the laboratory of a hospital, who was a relative of Candra, carried a brown envelope containing the results.

"The result is out, and you can see for yourself." He held out the envelope.

Rosa snatched the envelope and impatiently took out the paper inside.

But Candra, convinced that there was nothing in the soup, asked her mother to see the results first. He eagerly opened the lab paper believing that Melinda was not that bad.

"It must be wrong!" Candra glared after seeing the lab results in her hands.
