After Sheriff Tasman's conversation with Italian police officers ended, Detective Carl spoke to his partner.

Detective Carl then shows a recording of his brief interview with Louis Sanderman.
“What did you do to him, Detective Carl?” sheriff Tasman asked after seeing the footage.
