Eps. 49 Interrogation Part 3
Sarah sat down beside Rilly and tried to calm down as she looked at the man in front of her.
“Miss Sarah, so it's true you two are chatting near the storefront ?” ask detective Carl while pointing at the window he means.
Sarah nodded softly in response to detective Carl.
“Do you guys smell or see the strange movement of someone right around that storefront ?” detective Carl pointed at the storefront.
“No.” neither Rilly nor Sarah both answered the same and simultaneously.
Detective Carl momentarily took a deep breath before continuing his investigation.
“How long have you two been chatting ?” ask detective Carl full of probes.
“About 20 minutes.” replied Rilly.
“About 35 minutes.” replied Sarah.
Detective Carl immediately frowned as to why the two women's explanations were different. The answers should be the same.
And the question arises as to who is right and who is lying between them.
“Wait for miss, you two chat together but why are your answers different ?”
“It was just my estimation detective, for how long exactly I do not know.” replied Rilly trying to explain.
Sarah looked surprised and immediately replied following her friend.
“Perhaps about 30 minutes, detective. I myself also just estimate.” replied Sarah again different from what she had previously said.
Of course, that answer made the detective think again. Something is strange here. One of them must be lying.
“Well after collecting more safe 30 minutes what are you doing Miss Rilly, miss Sarah ?” throw the man out again.
Rilly then explained that he finished chatting into the break room to prepare before returning home.
“What this woman says is true.” Inner detective matches miss Rilly's testimony with the note she made.
While Sarah explained if she went to the toilet to wash her face and joined the others.
“Nona, did you clean the toilet and take out the trash back then ?” ask detective Carl again looking at Sarah who looks pale.
“I saw there was dirt in the toilet at that time and threw it in the trash immediately because it would only fill the toilet.” he explained.
“Did you open what was the contents of the bag ?” ask the detective who was responded to by the headband by Sarah.
“Nona, you threw away the bag without checking its contents first and it could have belonged to one of the workers here. Aren't you worried if someone's looking for the bag ?” the detective said with full emphasis on the word belonging to one of the workers.
“I guess what's below and it's been a while since no one took it for sure it's for trash without the need for me to open it, detective.”
“What of the nine people who are here are there who left something on the toilet ?” detective Carl throws the question at 9 other people who were there.
The nine people seemed to think back and remember their stuff.
“We never leave anything important in the toilet or throw garbage there.” replied the workers who were there after recalling.
“Then whose goods if not belong to workers here ?” detective Carl opened his glasses and hung them in one of his pockets.
“Maybe it belongs to one of these garment visitors, mr.” Sarah answered him immediately.
“I really suspect this woman. From his testimony many irregularities as well as what he said does not match what is in my record. But I have to find proof that he did it?” the man's inner self then cast a glance at three other workers whom he had not yet questioned.
Detectives asked the four women to return to their seats and call three other workers.
There were three women in front of her, Miss Puff, Miss Kate and Miss Bella.
“Miss can you explain to me what you are doing in the hours range 19.30 and 20.00 ?” detective Carl asked, staring one by one at the woman in front of him.
The three women gave testimony while detective Carl listened to the testimony while matching it with his notes.
“Everything they say is true.” the inner man. “Then I have to find the culprit.”
The man then asked for the system to open the shop.
“System show me if there are items that can be used to detect lies ?” detective Carl says he believes someone gave false testimony between them.
