The Prophet said: "Not once will a man be alone with a woman except Satan be the third." (HR Tirmidhi 2165, Ahmad (1/26), and al-Albani), and also in another hadith the Prophet said which means: "The stabbing of one's head with a peg of iron, it's better for him than touching a woman who's not his mahram." (CHR. Thobroni in Mu'jam Al Kabir 20:211. Shaykh Al Albani said that this hadith is shahih).

"Well if for Dating shar'i in Islam does not exist because both in the Qur'an, hadith, and the words of scholars there is no saying that there is a courting activity before marriage. The shar'i courtship is just a satanic trick that from batil is changed to be right so that they can bring Adam's children to be plunged into a world full of maksiat (dating). 

Finally, many people say that dating syar'i is not illegal, because they never touch, sit together, but they are dating to remind each other of God. 

Whatever their reason it is still haram because zina is not just touching but many types, such as eye zina, heart zina, mind zina, and oral zina. All of that was just a devil's trickery for them to fall into adultery.

Abu Hurairah Radhiyallahu anhu, from the Prophet Shallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam, he said that: It has been determined upon the son of Adam (man) the part of his zina which he cannot avoid : The zina of both eyes is seeing, the zina of both ears is listening, the zina of the oral is speaking, the zina of the hand is by fingering or holding (the woman who is not a mahram), the zina of the foot is stepping, the zina of the foot is stepping, and adultery is desiring and dreaming, then all of that is justified (realized) or belied (not realized) by ***********.

Satan never invites adultery but Satan only gives way to approach it. The devil comes when there is an opportunity, so we should avoid interaction with the opposite sex.
