Chapter 13: The Bully

That afternoon after the lecture Ariel and Claudia walked to the cafeteria to eat, at first nothing strange felt Ariel, his eyes caught the students staring back at him in disdain and beginning to be seen whispering as he entered the canteen. Of course Ariel still does not know if there are bad rumors spreading on campus about her, the girl also chose to behave normally.

“Hei! Aren't you ashamed to go to campus?” A high-bodied student blocked Ariel's steps, there were two other students who also stopped.

Ariel frowned, looking at the three close friends with a strange feeling.

“Thy? Why shame? I am here to gain knowledge, not for shame,” said Ariel, her eyes watching the movements of the three girls before her bravely.

Claudia herself chose to stand behind Ariel, she who was petty did not like fights nor did she want to get into trouble.

“Already, talking to a girl like her is useless, it should be like this!” Another girl raised a glass of iced tea, preparing to splash it on Ariel's face.

Ariel was surprised to see what the girl would do to him, until suddenly someone stood right in front of him, dispelling the iced tea water that almost flushed him.

Edgar—the most popular young man on campus who is targeted by many girls is now standing in front of Ariel. The young man willingly received a splash of ice water from the crazy girl who bullied Ariel. The young man turned out to secretly like Ariel, so when he saw the girl bullied he immediately put up his body to protect.

All students who witnessed it would be surprised, why popular youth like Edgar would defend Ariel.

Meanwhile, Ariel could only stare at the back of Edgar standing before her, not expecting that there was still someone willing to defend her, whereas since then all the students who were there just stared and looked at him with disgust. Claudia was also grateful, as it turned out that someone was willing to help.

“Ed-Edgar, why are you-” Girls who water iced tea so shocked and shocked because of the wrong target.

“Go from here! You guys are usually just bullying!” edgar snapped with wet hair, face, and clothes.

The girls glanced at Ariel who was standing behind Edgar, before then leaving because they did not want to make trouble with the young man.

Edgar turned around after making sure the girls were gone, staring at Ariel who seemed to still be in shock.

Instead of answering Edgar's question, Ariel immediately opened the bag and pulled out a tissue. He felt guilty also thanking Edgar for helping to get rid of the ice water for him.

“Why are you doing this? you get wet,” said Ariel while drying Edgar's face and T-shirt with a tissue. He felt he had to do it because he had been helped.

Edgar smiled at the girl's words and attention. He just kept quiet to let Ariel dry her face and her t-shirt was exposed to iced tea water.

“What exactly? Why are they accusing you of being a night woman?” edgar asked when Ariel was done cleaning. The girl was silent for a moment, then smiled bitterly at Edgar.

“Isn't it common for someone in this world to hate us? even they won't hesitate to accuse and slander." Ariel's answer makes sense, at least this won't make Edgar ask more.

The young man seemed to be thinking, feeling right as well as being spoken by Ariel. If a person hates, then a slander will be justified. Perhaps this is what is happening to Ariel, where the girl is being slandered just because many do not like her.

Ariel is now in the school toilet after helping to dry Edgar's clothes. He was washing his hands and staring at his reflection from the mirror. Ariel was thinking why her classmate had started to look at her differently, even to the point of bullying.

While Ariel was still busy washing her hands while thinking about the change in attitude of friends towards her, her phone in the bag rang, the girl hurriedly turned off the water tap and dried her hands with a tissue, before taking that flat object.

Roni's name was plastered there and Ariel hurriedly replied. He hopes the caller is in touch to deliver good news.

“Halo, Om.” Ariel immediately spoke as her phone stuck to her ear.

“Riel, I've done what you asked. Giving the paper bag to Meta without the knowledge of Mr. Gagah.” Roni's voice sounded from across the call.

Ariel develops a smile, she is relieved to finally be able to start executing the plan of destroying Meta.

“Then, how did it react?” ariel asked enthusiastically, an evil grin appearing on the girl's face.

“Shocked, especially when you see the contents of the paper bag,” replied Roni, until the sound of laughter from across the call.

Ariel smiled obliquely, she felt happy as she imagined Meta's face that was crimson when thinking of the possibility of Dashing already having an affair.

“Then how else?” asked Ariel could not stem his curiosity, he had hoped there would be a great fight between Gaga and Meta.

“Especially if not quarrel? I'm sure they had a fight at Pak Pradana's house, it was clearly visible from Mr. Gaga who came out with a red face extinguished.
