Ariel looked at Rehan while tucking in a slightly messy strand of hair, then shifted her gaze because the man was also looking at her.
“Your place is ready,” said Ariel while pointing to the room that Rehan will occupy. “I'm sorry first because it still has to work,” added the girl later.
Ariel bowed slightly, then left Rehan. The man was still looking at where Ariel was going. He looked to be about the same age as Gentle, but perhaps a little younger than the handsome mayor.
Rehan is the CEO of a company engaged in tourism, he deliberately went to Jogja secretly and hid his identity, he said, in addition to the holidays he also looked for some local lodging that can be invited to work with his company.
After putting the items in the room, Rehan sat down on a wooden chair that was near the joglo. He looked at Ariel who was busy sweeping the courtyard, where dried leaves were falling. Rehan keeps a close eye on Ariel, but he doesn't know if the girl was ever exposed to a scandal as an infidelity to the mayor, because Rehan never watches gossip channels and rarely opens social media.
Rehan was still watching Ariel, when a ball suddenly nudged his leg and shocked him.
It turned out that Abil was playing ball, the boy threw hard enough that the ball rolled at Rehan's feet.
Rehan picked up the ball, until he saw Abil walking closer and looking down.
“Sorry, Om. I didn't accidentally,” said Abil still with his head lowered. Even squeezing his fingers out of fear.
“This is your ball?” rehan asked in a soft voice.
Abil nodded softly in fear, especially Rehan was a guest and Abil was afraid to be considered impolite as well as naughty. He kept looking down because he dared not look
Rehan smiled at Abil who looked frightened, and saw that the boy was responsible for apologizing.
Abil was surprised to hear Rehan's question, thinking that the man would definitely scold him for being disrespectful. However, when he lifted his head and saw the smile on the man's face, Abil was so relieved.
“Om, not angry?” ask Abil to make sure. He looked at the man who kept smiling at him.
“No, I was happy because there was something I could play with. Here I am lonely,” Rehan replied slightly whispering at the end of the sentence.
Abil smiled widely, then nodded his head in agreeing to play with the man. The two ended up playing ball together in the yard, seen laughter from Abil because of Rehan who played while joking.
On the other hand, Ariel went into the kitchen after finishing sweeping. He helps Mbok Supri— Anisa's assistant who is in charge of making food for homestay guests.
“The food is all boiled?” ariel asked when she saw the vegetables and fish all boiled and nothing containing oil.
“Yes, this is according to the same requested list of guests,” replied Mbok Supri turned a glance to Ariel who stood beside him.
“Pak Rehan?” ariel asked to make sure because only Rehan had rented for a few days.
“Iya,” replied Mbok Supri while still processing vegetables. “Say Bu Anisa, she will stay for three days, then ask for dishes for her away from oil. So all are asking to be boiled only, should not be fried,” added the middle-aged woman.
Ariel nodded in understanding, although it looked strange but it was a guest request, so Ariel and Mbok Supri could only obey.
