THE DESTRUCTION OF LOYALTY
ERICK THE HEART OF STONE

Like being hit by a large rock, Erick's body was stunned when he saw Ayu lying down there. Fresh blood flowed from the front of his head as Ayu fell in a prone position. His breathing was choked, Erick was unable to even just shout Ayu's name. His body felt weak, his legs felt soft. It is like losing energy.

The noise of the neighbors who arrived made Erick wake up from his daydream. He immediately ran inside before anyone saw him standing on the balcony of the room. He did not want to be accused of murdering his own wife. While holding Mikayla, Erick ran down one by one stairs, he came out to the crowd who saw Ayu's current condition.

Erick's heart was beating very fast, he felt scared if Ayu's life was lost. His body stared at Ayu's bloodied face. Yep.. One of Erick's neighbors is a doctor, he wants to try to give first aid to Ayu so that he turns Ayu's body upside down. He checks the pulse on Ayu's wrist and neck which turns out to be still beating.

" Your wife is still alive, Mr. Erick, we better get her to the hospital before it's too late." Her speech.

Actually, the neighbors were eager to ask Erick about the fateful incident that befell his wife, but they were more concerned with the safety of Ayu's life compared to his curiosity.

Unable to say anything, Erick could only nod his head. He looks very shocked by Ayu's current condition, not to mention Mikayla's crying that has not stopped. A young girl approached Erick.

" Brother Erick, may I hold your daughter? It seems like she's been crying." His word. Devitas... The daughter of the Rayhan doctor who is completing a general doctor degree at a well-known university in the city.

Without saying a word, Erick gave Mikayla to her. Miraculously.... Mikayla instantly fell silent in Devita's arms. Doctor Rayhan and the neighbors help Erick take Ayu to the hospital using the ambulance that was on the phone by Rayhan's doctor. Luckily Erick's house was not far from the local hospital.

On the way, Erick continued to stare at Ayu's face, oxygen hoses sticking to both nostrils. There was a feeling of guilt in Erick's heart. Ayy... The woman who had always been with him, the woman who always filled the emptiness of his heart, the woman who always comforted him in times of anxiety hit his life and the woman who was willing to give up all her body and soul for him.

The shadow of Ayu's smile and laughter flashed across Erick's mind. They were very close before Erick said about his true feelings if he only loved Jia. Even after Ayu married Alex, they were still very close. But after the incident, Erick begins to distance himself from Ayu, since Alex knows his plan, he becomes increasingly resentful of Ayu. He felt Ayu was the cause of his hope with Jia destroyed.

Remembering Jia, Erick flashed his smile. It had been a long time since he had followed Jia again because of the work that had kept him busy. In his heart he asked, how is his heart? She will work out a plan to separate Jia from her husband again. After all that worked, he would chase after Jia until he got it.

Arriving at the hospital, Ayu immediately got help from a doctor who stood guard at the emergency room. Erick and Rayhan's doctor sat in the waiting chair in front of the room.

" How did this happen, Mr Erick? There's no violence in it, right?" Erick stared intently at the bead of Rayhan's doctor's eyes, he could not accept Rayhan's doctor cornered him with the words he said.

" You're a forensic doctor, you must know the answer just by looking at the wound on Ayu's body. Did you find any signs of violence there?" Erick attacks Rayhan's doctor by reversing the question.

Doctor Rayhan smiled.

" I don't think there is, I'm sure you won't have the heart to do all that. I asked like that because before I heard your baby's cry Sir. I thought you were involved in a quarrel earlier. I'm sorry if my question offended you." Dr. Rayhan was nodding his head back by Erick.

After almost an hour of waiting, the doctor finally came out of the room. Seeing that Erick immediately approached him and asked Ayu's current state.

" Your wife is in a coma Sir, the impact on her head makes her brain tissue unable to work normally as before. We just pray that the patient succeeds through a critical period and can be immediately aware of the coma." Doctor bright.

" When was my wife unconscious, Doc?" Ask Erick.

" We have not been able to confirm it, sir, seeing his condition is quite severe does not deny the possibility of coma for months. We'll have a scan of his head, if there's blood clumping we'll have to have surgery right away." Doctor says.

" Do your best for her." I don't know why those words escaped Erick's lips. He doesn't know what he wants right now. What is clear is that Ayu must survive to take care of Mikayla.

The doctor resigned, Erick sat back in his chair. He pulled his hair rough while spreading his gaze in any direction until his net was fixed on the woman walking alone towards him. He showed his smile to see the beauty of the heart. Who else if not Jia? He came here to visit Revelation with Argham, but Argham came to have a sudden need. That was why Jia went inside alone.

Erick's heart was racing as Jia got closer to him. The moment Jia passed by arrived..

Erick blocking Jia's hand made Jia surprised. Sontak Jia immediately stared at him and brushed off his hand.

" What the hell are you Erick's sister? Don't haphazardly hold people's hands or I'll yell so they think you're abusing me." Jia said a little threateningly.

Instead of being afraid, Erick chuckled at Jia's threat. He stood in front of Jia then cornered Jia to the wall. Jia looked panicked, especially the hallway where he stood was a quiet passage because it was located at the very end. Jia cursed her own folly that chose this path, indeed this path will bring her faster to the room of Revelation. But he did not expect if he would meet with his former upperclassman first.
